Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff who reassured me in the early hours of the morning. The only negative was the high cost.

Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We visited vets now with our poorly cat on a Sunday. All the team were lovely, helpful and reassuring making a very stressful situation manageable. The lady vet even asked if I would like to speak in Welsh or English which was an added benefit and much appreciated.

Just wanted to make a comment in particular about the veterinary nurse and receptionist on duty that night, they were both extremely empathetic and helpful.

We had to take our dog to the emergency vet. The vet and the nurse were lovely. The vet explained everything and answered our questions. She was wonderful with Bella. I can't fault them.

An excellent experience overall. From the time we made the initial call we felt that we were being supported by a professional organisation. The treatment given at the clinic was quick and thorough. We left with our dog confident that the potential issues concerning his consumption of potentially toxic materials had been resolved. A the advice given for further medication and assessment were clear. We would certainly have no hesitation in using them again. should an emergency arise.

Seen quickly and good treatment received. Vet honest about the prices.
I appreciate this was a Sunday, but the prices are very expensive!

They were so helpful and ensured my dog was seen to right away after a sudden injury. They were kind and caring, couldn’t recommend them more.

The service was excellent. However the costs are outrageous. To also then add on an admin fee of £35.00 if you decide to go through insurance is extremely unfair. I understand that this is an emergency service however this was 7.00pm and the vet is already in the practice.

Waited a long time to be seen. Was expected to pay alot of money for further investigation. Price on the website didn't match the price charged (consultation fee and out of hours) then had to wait 45 mins to pay the bill as no one was on the desk. There was a very upset chap who had to wait to pay too. It was very uncomfortable for him to be in that position

In my moment of total panic because of my hounds condition, I was met by a lovely vet who immediately gave me confidence in the way she was going to deal with the situation. She explained what she would be doing very clearly.
The communication from each of the vets looking after my boy was clear and reassuring.
It was a big operation and he was looked after for 36 hours, unfortunately the bill of £6582 was an awful lot of money but without treatment I would have lost him and charges were made clear before the operation was carried out.
12 months ago whilst in spain my hound had the same op plus spleen removed, he was looked after by the vet for 5 days/nights and came home with a bag full of medication and 3 follow up visits, the bill was €900 = £769, what a difference in uk charges and Spanish charges.
The important thing was that Vetsnow saved my boys life and I am extremely grateful. THANK YOU

I asked receptionist if VetsNow used Pawtal to initiate my insurance and I was told no. Turns out they do and it has delayed my claim unnecessarily.
