Don't spend your money here!

I found this company through Groupon and it was for Laser Hair Removal appointments, 4 sessions in, I felt bullied into buying an extra service and I did. Afterward, I booked my next sessions as normal as they have to be six weeks apart for this particular treatment, it was canceled but not just that time, another 3 times after that. The booking team never made effort to rebook me I always had to hound them down to ultimately get a canceled appointment on the day of. I am now asking for a refund to which I am getting no response from anyone or vague responses when I do manage to get through to a member of staff or I Just get hung up on. I am still trying to get my money back. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere!

You have £490 of my money VG Medispa…

You have £490 of my money VG Medispa Fitzrovia and you need to simply refund me.
I purchased 6 groupon sessions for laser hair removal alongside some inch loss therapy which the Fitzrovia manager Jana upsold to me in the salon at the time of coming in for my patch test.

I've had 3 appointments cancelled on me either last minute, or without any notification because the manager Jana did not actually end up booking me in the first place. A trip in to London wasted.

Since then, I've decided that spending £500 on VG Fitzrovia was DEFINITELY an ill decision and despite calling and emailing for 5 days straight and getting no response, I've had to go in to the salon to request my refund.

Jana tells me that she has authorised my refund- not before asking me if I would give the salon one more opportunity to redeem themselves. I explain; I've already done this despite them cancelling appointments on my erratically or not being able to book me because they've oversold their services and have nothing available for more than 8 weeks.

Here's a clue to VG MEDISPA- if you don't have the staff, don't offer the services. You're wasting everyone's time here....

It has been more than a week now since I've been in the salon and I've been told by Jana to email KAREN at customer services. So now, not only have I been trying any of these numbers to get through to LITERALLY ANY HUMAN BEING 0330 088 4758 / 0203 051 1471/ 0203 411 3317 / 01748 898782.

But now it seems even all the emails I'm being provided are housing ghosts.

You have £490 of my money VG Medispa Fitzrovia and you need to simply refund me.

If I don't receive my refund, I will be reporting this company to Trading Standards. This is beyond inept and shameless

This company is a disgrace

This company is a disgrace - they value your money, but not your time. After waiting weeks and weeks for an appointment, they call me the day before to say they’re cancelling. Then when I turn up at the rescheduled appointment, they tell me (after I’ve been waiting in the reception area half an hour) that they’re going to have to cancel my appointment as their tattoo removal technician doesn’t actually know how to remove tattoos yet.

They didn’t even have the decency to call and cancel, despite my appointment being slapbang in the middle of the day and therefore wasting both my morning and afternoon travelling to and from the clinic. This was straight after the lady in front of me had to leave after waiting for an hour because the technician was not there either.

This company value your money, but not your time and have no respect for the damage and cancelled plans they caused. I specifically organised my flights around this appointment and cancelled on other plans because they already rescheduled.

The company are an inept disgrace.

Edit: You have asked me to get in touch, but I was already promised that head office would be contacting me. They have not yet.

Ask for Ceri

I've had numerous sessions of laser hair removal and I can honestly say that this is one of the best places I have ever been to. From the moment you walk through the door you'll be greeted with a warm hello and a smile - totally putting you at ease - far from a lot of beauty places you go to where a horde of women eye you up and down the moment you step in.

During every appointment which various staff there I've been made to feel comfortable. I must say though, Ceri is honestly one of the best aestheticians I've ever had. She's friendly and chatty - which is perfect for me - taking a genuine interest in our conversation while also being meticulous and thorough throughout the treatment.

Highly recommend.

Olatz Mompeo - I look like I slept for 2 years!!

OMG. I just woke up this morning and I looked like I slept for 2 y in arrow. NOT JOKING. My skin looks fresh, less red and has a great complexity- exactly what I was expecting from the the glycolic peel I got yesterday! I booked consultation + glycolic peel. VGMediSpa is very clean and bright. All workers very nice and relaxed.

Koko attended me. She was super nice, friendly and very very professional and experienced. We went through my care/skin routine and lifestyle before the treatment. She asked me "what do you worry the most about your skin" and I must say that made me feel very comfortable because everyone looks at themselves in very different ways so she gave some advice on what I was worried about.

The treatment was great (a bit ticklish as Koko mentioned and made sure I was okay) and afterwards she gave a short and very nice face and shoulder massage while moisturizing which I loved and relaxed me so much.

I have already signed up for more treatments and following the recommendations from Koko and I cannot wait to see even more results! Definitely COMING BACK SOON!

Scam. So disappointed.

I bought six laser removal sessions via Groupon, went for my consultation (Fitzrovia branch) and all went well, super friendly and helpful staff. The manager offered me a black Friday deal so I said yes but asked if I could split the payment. Of course it was possible, so went happily to my first laser session a few days later. Then I've been told I had to pay the whole immediately or the price would go back to normal, and I was refused the refund of the deposit I did. I was also refused to book my next session "until it was solved" though I had paid for my whole 6 sessions on Groupon. Since then (November) no one answers either phone or email. I was hoping the problem would be solved in a minute by talking quietly but apparently a client isn't worth picking up the phone. Total scam, I wish I had read the reviews before buying.

Surprised by all the bad reviews!

I've always had a good experience at the Manchester site so I'm quite surprised by all these bad reviews. I've always got an appointment for the days I wanted (I work close by so fortunately can be flexible with times which I understand won't be the same for everyone). Dee has done the majority of my appointments and she's always bubbly, friendly and professional. Happy with the progress considering the low price and will probably book more sessions when I see the final result.

I always receive great treatments here (Reading Clinic) my results are amazing and I’m really happy, have added more areas so can’t wait to not spend so much time removing my unwanted hair! The girls are always friendly and welcoming, the lady on reception is always helpful with booking future appointments for my best results too. Would highly recommend.

Great customer service!

This review is for the VGMedispa in Manchester in particular for Fiona and Dee.
I can only say that the experience and customer service that I have had from them has been exceptional. I had a small complaint regarding a treatment and both ladies went above and beyond trying to and eventually sorting it out for me. It is a good company that looks after their clients and tries to make things better, especially when there has been a complaint.
Dee is a great therapist, she explains everything really well and she clearly enjoys what she does, an altogether very enjoyable and pleasant experience! Thanks girls.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Just like many reviews I have just read on trustpilot, avoid at all cost.

I NEVER EVER EVER bother to write a bad review, but I have had such a bad experience, that I will not be returning even though... of course I have had to pat in advance for all treatments, and of course it is non refundable. I rather lose the rest of my money than go back to that place.

Save your self the humiliation, and do what I haven't done... believe these reviews... this service provider is shockingly unprofessional. I will write a serious complaint to their management team although I really expect them to shrug it off and maybe even laugh about it and make a joke for a couple of days... as it seems like tat sort of place...

just as a culmination of humiliation, the receptionist called me a b**** as I stormed off the place, and she thought I didn't hear her...

Just a follow up, if you have read my above review, I would like to let you all know that 2 weeks on, and the below response from VG media is the only response I got. I only got another email which was a one liner saying that regional manager will get in touch with me personally... perhaps that was meant to make me feel honoured? And I am not enough of a fool to believe that. As I stated above I knew they would not take it seriously. This is just to confirm that they haven’t.

As for their response below, I have waited two weeks to respond and I really bit my tongue.

As consumers it’s our fault that they cannot cope with supply and demand... we should really be sympathetic shouldn’t we?
There’s no issues with a member of staff actually abusing me verbally and making me feel like second class...

Avoid at all costs!

This company has caused me nothing but stress.

First the customer service I received was beyond unprofessional and unacceptable.
Then the treatments I have received were so rush, you are covered in so much gel and I felt absolutely nothing!
I’ve had laser hair removal in the past and it was very successful.
Don’t think about having any privacy to get changed, as they have to rush you through to get the next customer in!
I have not only had NO HAIR REDUCTION BUT NOW HAVE MORE HAIR THAN WHEN I BEGAN!
You can NEVER get an appointment, and I mean never. You have to wait up to 4 months and they never have a time that suits you.
I wish I had never seen the Groupon voucher for this salon and done my research.

I am now out of pocket, have nothing to show for my money and will now have to get the areas redone at another salon.
My best advice to anyone is......Please stay away from this place as they don’t care about customers.
Please spend your hard earn money at a salon who values their customers and gets you results!

Avoid at all costs! Thankfully I paid on my American Express and was able to charge back due to the salon's appalling service (or, lack of any at all). My first appointment was great and I felt like I had found a great salon and a good price. However, too good to be true, and of course they expect you to pay upfront for all six sessions. They cancelled my second appointment on one day's notice (it had been booked in for six weeks) and then despite calling them three times and being given different excuses, I gave up and emailed their "customer service" email an ultimatum to be rebooked in, or else I expected a refund or I would be small claiming against them using the relevant consumer protection legislation. I never heard back from customer services. Reading all the recent reviews now, I cannot advise you to AVOID more. I wish I had not trusted them with my time or money. Thankfully, credit card providers have customer service. This place does not.

RIP OFF

RIP OFF. I never ever write bad reviews but I am so disappointed with my experience at VGMedi Spa. I had 6 sessions of laser hair removal on my legs and there is pretty much ZERO difference. Booking appointments was next to impossible with any normal person's work schedule. There was also confusion at their salon with the cancellation of one of my appointments, saying it was down as a missed session (where you pay if you don't call within 24hrs of appointment) - this was not the case and had to fight my corner and play them a voicemail I still had confirming the evidence of me cancelling with enough notice, eventually one of the girls on the desk was understanding about this. Overall, absolute no go. I wish I had spent my money elsewhere, I'd saved up to get this done :(

REFUND SCAM DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

I bought a laser, my apponintments were cancelled 3 times and I also asked for a refund on January the 8th.... and after 10 emails nothing, they also asked me my credit card details in order to proceed witht the refund, but nothing disappeared! i also contacted them on messenger but agter a couple of answer like " I will tell the customer service to get in touch eith you" they blocked me on facebook and messenger!! Hope this reviw will help me to get my refund, PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE, ALREADY DONE 10 TIMES WITH NO ANSWER.

I have gone to the store and they told me that I had to phone. So I phoned and was told I had to email. So I emailed and was told I had to go to the store.

Poor service & rip off

Poor service & rip off! They cancel appointments without giving any notice and not even a call back to reschedule! and I also had 2 sessions where the technician worked so fast that I doubt I had much hair zapped! 2 full legs in under 15 minutes, thats ridiculous and seems like the spa is trying to cram in more people in an hour so that they make more profits, and leaving the customer out of money! absolutely the poorest service I've ever had regarding any laser hair removal. I think everyone on here that has complained should make a formal complaint to VG Medispa and then go to the Ombudsman and file a complaint so that they see this is not a one off offence, that they really are trying to scam people out of their money!

The beauty consultant was professional…

The beauty consultant Kirsty was professional yet friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the treatment. Whilst doing the laser therapy, the consultant was very thorough and didn't miss a spot. I've always had fantastic results with my treatments at the salon - and taken advantage of their special offers!

Took my money, kept cancelling and now ghosting me! Where's my refund?!?

I called up six months ago to inquire about their Groupon offer before I made my purchase. The lady over the phone was very helpful and even applied the Groupon offer over the phone and arranged an appointment in Percy street. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get anything till a month after (in October) but after the delightful service over the phone, I was happy to wait. However, two days before my appointment, they sent me a cancellation due to staff unavailability. A little disappointed, I rearrange the appointment for the soonest possiblity - this time having to wait for another two months (December).

Two days before my appointment in December I receive a reminder email. I arrive on the day, travelling into the city, only to find out in person that they've cancelled, again due to staff unavailability. The lady over the counter seemed very apologetic and offered my two complimentary treatments to follow, and rearranged my appointment for February (another two months wait!!). By now, I'm not just disappointed - I'm getting doubtful of their service.

Come February, two days before my third rearranged appointment I receive a reminder - and literally the night before, I get a another cancellation, again due to staff unavailability. They haven't called to rearrange an appointment or responded to my voicemails - I've tried calling them and they never pick up. I wrote them an email three days after my supposed "appointment" and still haven't received any response! Almost six months since I've paid and not a single treatment!! What have I paid for exactly??!?

By the looks of it, I'm not the only one experiencing the same problem - seriously, don't risk booking with them. Utter waste of time, money and effort! Go some place else where you will actually receive treatment for what you paid for.

I want a refund ASAP or I will be taking the legal route if I have to.
