Vincci Larios Diez Malaga - Superb

We booked through Jet2 to stay at the Vincci Larios Diez Hotel in Malaga. This splendid hotel is situated on the best shopping street in Malaga and is surrounded by dozens of eating places. We took a panoramic room with views on to the street in two directions. The room was beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast in the top floor restaurant was superb and the food in the restaurant was so good that we chose to eat there on five of our seven nights. Best of all, however, was the staff. Well-trained cheerful, friendly and very helpful, they even insisted on taking our cases the 300 metres to our taxi pick-up point.

Best hotel near Malaga

Stayed in the Vincci Seleccion Aleysa in Benalmadena and with one word - "Amazing" hotel with fantastic service, friendly staff, great rooms and a lovely pool and beach. The spa is also very relax and cosy with great facilities.

For us no other hotel when flying to Malaga.

Vincci Lys Hotel Valencia

We have just ended a 5 day break at the Vincci Lys hotel in Valencia. We had a "Superior" room which was lovely, and with a terrace. The staff were great. Sadly, the air conditioning was poor (the room never seemed to cool down) and the WiFi was useless. It was in, then out, then in again. Often, you couldn't connect to it at all. If those two things could be improved, this would have been a 5 star rating, but in today's connected world and in a hot country, WiFi and air conditioning are important !

Hotel was generally good but beaches…

Hotel was generally good but beaches had a lot of locals not exclusive, buffet generally good but food cold. Waiter moved our personal items from a table we selected to another without asking or apologies to add it for a bigger group, not nice.

Nearly gassed with methane an experience I never want to repate again

If I could give a minus I would.
Nice enough hotel, Vincci Ponte de Ferro in Porto. Breakfast great selection, on first appearance the bedroom on the 2nd floor was fine but come night time the smell was so bad we had to walk around holding our noses. The second night we couldn't take it anymore, we had to put our heads under the covers to try and block the smell, like the whole hotel had done a dump and it was all coming up our toilet in reverse. We called the reception and told the guy to come and see and smell our room, he came and said he totally agreed and it happens sometimes and he would change us. This was midnight now, we were so exhaused. Next morning the manageress told us it never happens and basically thought we were telling lies (why?) She point blank refused to admit the room was rancid with methane gas unyet her night staff had agreed, it was disgusting and she wouldn't even remove the 10 euros city tax as a gesture of goodwill. If you ever have the misfortune to stay here, for the sake of your health don't stay on any lower floors especially the second floor and you might not survive the night or pack a gas mask.

Customer support horrible

Email domain @vinccihoteles.com doesn't work. The only way to contact the is by calling, which was a horrible experience. Initial contact I could barely hear what the person helping me place an reservation because there was someone drilling right next to the phone. She told me to mail about pricing and the mail didn't work. I called back and they hung up on me, the second time I called back I asked to be transferred to the hotel in Málaga I wanted to make a reservation at. They seemed very uninterested discussing pricing and basically told me everything I already found at their webpage. I'm not reviewing the hotel, just their low class customer support.

Room for a little improvement

Staff were always very pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was generally clean, but there were a few little issues that could be improved upon:
The room(s) could do with a refresh - there was mould around the bottom of the shower screen and in the grout between tiles round the bath, despite being cleaned daily. The sliding patio doors to the balcony didn't lock. On arrival, the wardrobe door was off its runner so wouldn't open/close properly.
The food in the restaurant was very good, but the hot food was not always hot, often only warm.
The box where used pool towels were placed was not always fully emptied at the end of the day.
There didn't appear to be any restriction on using the pool with no lifeguard on duty. One evening, people were using the pool after 10.30pm and were quite noisy.
Daytime exercise aerobics in the pool, led by hotel staff, used flotation pool noodles. When children tried to take them from a pile next to the pool they were told "sorry, they are for adults only". Bit unfair on the children I felt.
There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although a kettle can be requested (and in our case one was delivered very quickly).

Having said all that, this is still a nice hotel, and one that I would stay at again, but with the above issues I'd rate it as 3*plus. If the issues were addressed, then definitely 4*.

STOLEN ITEM.

STOLEN ITEM.

We have travelled to Costa Adeje many times over the years , first to the hotel La Plantation del sur.

We were all having a lovely family holiday, however a few days into our holiday my husbands aripods went missing from the breakfast table...

We asked the waitress who was serving us regarding this , to which nothing had been moved or seen, we popped the devices on lost mode ... However a few hours later around the pool my husbands airpods kept connecting to his watch(We have since been told through the management the waitress in question , was the only member of staff working both shifts in the seperate areas) , also after investigtion, they only connected when my husband was around the waitress and the Apple blue circle would appear , to show that the airpods were EXACTLY there.

We waited quite a while for a manager to come over to us , we explained the situation , SUDDENLY the airpods went completely offline, also to our disbelief the waitress on numerous occations came over and smuggly told us "maybe they are in the bin".

We were informed through managment a few hours later ,whilst around the pool, that they had indeed been through all the bins in the STAFF quarters and they WERE FOUND wrapped in a napkin, covered in food, in the bin the waitress kept mentioning.

>Unbelievably the waitress came upto us a while after clapped her hands and smiling stated "yayyy , you found them!"

The management were "on it", yet the same waitress was still working everyday and still trying to serve us... much to our frustration.

As we left our holiday , 5 days later, that was still the case, i would REALLY like to hear more regarding the situation.

Safe to say for the rest of our holiday , we were uneasy with our personal belongings and also continuously cautious when we were out of our rooms, that a member of staff had been untrustworthy.

Happy to mislead......

Just spent 3 weeks at the Vincci Aleysa, Benalmadena. The holiday package cost me around £4000 for room and breakfast. Not cheap! The hotel's website states that there is free parking available. Prior to my holiday, I emailed the hotel to say that I wanted to take advantage of the free parking for my hire car. The email was delivered OK but I did not receive a reply. When I arrived for my holiday I was told that I would have to pay 315 Euros to park my car as it was free only if I booked direct with the hotel whereas my holiday was booked through British Airways. I protested and said that they should have replied to my email to explain this but the duty manager was having none of it. They were under no obligation to reply she said. This spoiled the start of my holiday as I was quite angry. It seems that Spain has a different ethos when it comes to fair play. She eventually offered to reduce the cost by 50% but I still believe that I should not have had to pay anything. I have sent emails to Carlos Calero (General Manager) and Raul Alvarez (Sales Director) at Vincci Head Office but they have been ignored. The hotel is nice but they are unethical and greedy.

Booking disappointment

Last time I stayed at a Vincci hotel, the staff said next time I stayed I should book through them rather than through a booking site.
So this time I booked through Vincci hotels. Little did I know this was facilitated by getaroom.com who do not allow any changes.
Covid means we can’t get there for 12 January, and getaroom means we can’t alter the booking to when we can go. It wasn’t until the booking was completed it became obvious it was through a portal.

La Plantation hotel in Costa Adeje…

La Plantation hotel in Costa Adeje Tenerife is a great place. Been there three times now and would go nowhere else in this area.
Not too big or small, friendly staff, very clean, great food in restaurants and nicely placed within 10 min walk to beach but also in a quiet spot. Great sunset views and from restaurant also.
Spa is lovely and can recommend the massages, really sorted a calf pain I had this time.
Definitely the 5* it claims. Thanks.
