Absolute extortion and a scam. Used to really enjoy VisualCV for its UI, ease of use and great templates. Totally unusable now. Used to have small watermark at the bottom of the page for non-pro users - now it covers the ENTIRE PAGE. The cost of a pro-membership is not worth the price.

It is a great experience to use visual CV. Authentic and most professional

I have used visualcv for nearly 10 years and always found it appealing, easy to navigate, and incredibly useful. Today I went to make an edit to my resume and see that they are now holding all of my documents hostage unless I pay $300 annually to "upgrade". I have even had the previously free and operable link to my visualcv on my professional profiles and now that has been deactivated. All of this without ANY notice. This feels like extortion. I DO NOT recommend using them at all.

Dont' waste your time editing it. They're behind a paywal just for exporting stuff.

I have been using Visual CV for many years and I am quite happy with the granularity of control as well as the latest automatic system formats that are ready to be scanned by the bots most jobs use now.

Warning: you will be locked into this for life. You spend time putting together you CV and finally you get this great CV you can send to employers then you cancel your subscription because you get a job then you have to pay again and again every time you wanna edit or download your CV again. Also VERY limited with what you can and can't do on it.

superb nothing else

It has some lovely templates for resumes. I was sold on some of the reviews. But I needed to export my resume to a Word doc so a recruiter could put some of its branding on it. This is not an uncommon use case. But it's a "beta, and the resulting doc can't be read by Word and is useless as the jumble that Google will render when trying to open it there. So big fail, particularly when I was under a crunch to get someone a Word doc. I thought I should add some bells and whistles to my resume, but, in the end, if it's easy to read, that's what's important. This was a waste of $29.99 or whatever I paid.

Its not free as they claim and don't waste your time here. They are literally 25$ a month lol. Just to create freaking resumes

Misleading platform. It is not FREE. They expect users to pay $25 usd per month for a CV?? Why would I need a monthly subscription for a CV? Terrible service

You should have informed me that it's paid at the beginning and not let me waste 2 hours of my time after saying it's free. Disgusting

Excellent resume tool. I have had it for almost 3 years now and I just love and appreciate how they resolve concerns and problems almost immediately (within 24 hrs)

Definitely a good buy!

Their CV making tool is not free eventhough they advertise it as such. Yes they let you download a free CV, but they don't mention that they paste a huge watermark over it, rendering it useless for a real job application. An organisation is allowed charge for their services, but they should not lie or mislead in order to attract customers.

I explored for a good resume template make for a while and settled with visualCV, I love the templates and colorways they provide and it makes me more motivated to actually tailor my resume and cover letters to each employer. I asked for a certain function to edit some items on my resume through live chat, and while they couldn't directly add the feature, they sent me a version with the changes I requested! That's 5-star customer service right there!!!

User interface is excellent and easy to organize all your documents and changes. VisualCV is a win for me as I've noticed increased responses from employers too
