I am a single woman in my 30s who pursued IVF treatment at Vitanova. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely distressing and resulted in significant physical pain, emotional distress, and loss of trust in the clinic.

During my cycle, I learned that Vitanova does not offer or utilize many technologies and treatment options commonly available at other fertility clinics, such as EmbryoScope or time-lapse monitoring, AI-assisted embryo grading, pre-stimulation priming, hormone level monitoring during stimulation, dual-trigger protocols, Zymot sperm selection, calcium ionophore, or individualized protocol adjustments. My cycle followed a standard, uniform protocol, which in my opinion did not reflect personalized care.

My IVF cycle resulted in significantly fewer blastocysts than would typically be expected for a healthy woman in her early 30s. When I contacted the clinic multiple times by phone and email requesting an explanation and a detailed embryology report, I did not receive one. The only response I was given was that my outcome was “a fair result.” My follow-up requests were not addressed, leaving me confused and distressed.
During stimulation, I experienced severe pain in the days leading up to egg retrieval and was repeatedly told this was normal. During egg retrieval, I remained fully awake and was provided morphine, yet still experienced significant pain and emotional distress. I did not receive meaningful follow-up afterward to explain what occurred or to address my concerns.
Additionally, the Medical Director at the time, Grigorios Kalapotharakos, repeatedly addressed me by my last name during interactions, which I personally found uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Because my trust in the clinic had been fundamentally compromised, I made the decision to move my embryos to another clinic in a different country. Several months later, I pursued IVF at a clinic that utilized modern laboratory technology, individualized protocols, pre-stimulation priming, hormone monitoring during stimulation, EmbryoScope, PGT-A testing, and full sedation during egg retrieval. With this approach and a supportive medical and embryology team, I achieved significantly better outcomes, including multiple euploid blastocysts.

I am sharing my experience so others can ask informed questions, understand differences between clinics, and decide for themselves what level of care they want. This review reflects my personal experience; others may have different outcomes. I wish I had read more detailed patient accounts before choosing Vitanova.

Since Norway doesn’t approve of known sperm donor it was great that Vitanova in DK could help. Fast in response and trustful expertise. Thank you for our dear son.

Im living abroad and have been in contact with Vitanova Clinic for a while because of IVF treatment. There are some things that make this clinic, in my case,different:
-Emalis,calls will be the same day answered during all your treatment and during your pregnancy
- medication was discussed with physician and adjusted so side effects was minimal
- atmosphere in der clinic unbelievable calm, friendly and encouraging

I can’t thank Vitanova enough for the incredible care and support they gave me. As a single woman hoping to become a mother, I was nervous at first — but the team at Vitanova made me feel completely comfortable, respected, and supported from the very beginning.

The clinic is warm, welcoming, and professional. Every step of the process was handled with kindness and clarity, and I always felt like I was in the best hands. Thanks to them, I now have my beautiful daughter — the greatest joy of my life.

I never once regretted my decision to go to Vitanova, and I would absolutely do it again. They are doing something truly special for people who dream of becoming parents.

Vitanova found a suitable egg donor for us. We had to travel to the clinic from abroad 3 times, but it was worth it. But the "remote treatment " in cooperation with my local doctor was very simple. Now our little bundle of joy is already learning to crawl. I could not be happier

I had a really good experience at vitanova. They were very informative, good at explaining, supportive and also very kind when I was panicking at the egg retrieval. The pain management was also a lot better than in Australia where I had IVF first, and even being able to lie down in the nice recovery room afterwards was so much better than just sitting in a chair afterwards. Communication over email and phone was also great, particularly as I had a lot of challenges getting the right scans and tests during the injections (I was in the Netherlands). Overall a great professional and warm experience.

Vitanova did a very Professional Job While still keeping everything supportive.
Even when we had to get a second donor on Short notice they reacted fast an reliable.
Maybe sometimes a Little chaotic on email handling. So it is ‚only‘ 4 not 5 stars

Getting IVF treatment in Switzerland as a single woman is not possible so I researched for alternatives in a different country. I came across Vitanova and booked a consultation. I was very pleased I could book it in German, so I would definitely understand everything. The consultation went very well and I had a good feeling to proceed with Vitanova.
The team was always reachable via email, helpful, kind, understanding.. I felt welcome and taken care of.
Even when I changed my mind from IUI to IVF, they adapted the plan quickly and I had another consultation to make sure I understood the whole process.
For the egg collection and first try I traveled for the first time to Copenhagen to the clinic. Meeting the kind and caring team there made me realize I made the right decision.
When the first transfer didn’t work out, as soon as I was ready for the second transfer I got instructions on how to proceed.
The second transfer worked and now I’m holding my three week old baby boy in my arms while writing this.
