Extremely disappointing experience with VJOY China.
I contacted this company through AliExpress because I was trying to purchase a replacement wiring harness for a Tesla instrument cluster display. I did not buy the display from them, but since these cables are almost impossible to find anywhere online, I hoped they would be willing to help.
Initially, I was told that the complete set of four connection cables could be supplied for approximately $20 including shipping. After several messages, despite me providing clear photos and explaining exactly which cables I needed, the story suddenly changed. I was then informed that the price would be more than $40 because I had not purchased the display from their company.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that they also stated that if I had originally bought the display from them, they would have supplied the same cables free of charge. This strongly suggests that the actual value of these cables is very low, making the dramatic price increase difficult to understand from a customer’s perspective.
The biggest issue is that these wiring harnesses are not available anywhere else. Owners of these displays are effectively dependent on a very small number of suppliers for replacement parts. Instead of helping customers who are simply trying to keep their equipment working, the company appears to take advantage of the lack of alternative sources.
The entire experience felt inconsistent and unprofessional. The quoted price changed after I had already provided detailed information and photographs, and I was left with the impression that support depends more on where you purchased the original product than on providing reasonable customer service.
I would strongly advise potential buyers to carefully consider the long-term availability of spare parts before purchasing products of this type. When replacement cables and accessories cannot be obtained easily, even a small issue can become expensive and extremely frustrating.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
