Asked to pay 399€ for a service they cannot provide
I had been a member of VLH for several years and initially everything worked fine.
However, in 2025 I registered a small business (Gewerbe). After informing my VLH advisors, I was told that due to legal restrictions they are no longer allowed to provide tax advice in my case. Fair enough.
I provided all requested documents and my membership was confirmed to be terminated.
However, shortly after that, I received an automated message stating that:
• my membership continues until 31.12.2026
• I am required to pay a full membership fee of 399€ for 2026
This is despite the fact that VLH explicitly confirmed they cannot provide any services to me anymore.
In my view, charging a full annual fee while being unable to provide the corresponding service is highly questionable.
I have contacted them for clarification and hope this is just a misunderstanding. I will update this review depending on how the situation is resolved.
