Good support and clear voice, but flakey system
My YAK account has closed after 15 years trouble free service. YAK no longer in business. Seen Voip Much.ca on search and called the number to see how responsive they were. Had a great conversation with tech support to see if their ATA would work on Noikia 5G gateway. I was told it would not be a problem and signed up. Been with VoipMuch for a month, and it's hung up several times, tech support was able to clear issue, but as far as I am concerned a telephone should be working reliably without a second thought. However, I need to check it daily to see if it is actually working , since we rarely receive calls and need to know that it's working, so I need to call myself on the cell phone. Some days it works, and others it does not. Two days ago their system went haywire, and when you phoned their support number 611 it went to a random number, and the person on the other end wanted to know who I was and who I was calling, since she has had dozens of calls in the last hour. I reset the Modem and ATA only to still have the issue. At this point I turned Modem off to avoid any risks. After several hours, I turned the modem on and called support at 611 and reached tech support in Estonia and was told the system is good and the issue was with the Microsoft server and should no longer be an issue.
