Wrong product received, bad customer experience
The shop sent me the wrong product — a standard PS5 controller instead of the more expensive Pro (Edge) version I ordered. I emailed customer service describing the situation, but hours passed with no response or even an acknowledgement.
Eventually, I called. Their initial solution? I should walk to Posti again, send the incorrect item back, and only after that would they send me what I had actually paid for. A weak apology was offered, followed by a laughable €10 voucher. After pushing back (and enduring some grunting Finnish nonchalance), it was increased to €20 — which I declined. At that point, it became clear the best course of action was simply to stop supporting this business.
The return itself was another ordeal. While this was not a voluntary return but a cancellation due to their own error, the staff failed to provide the required Posti return code (asiakaspalautuskoodi). The Posti worker informed me I’d have to pay for the return out of pocket. So there I was, standing at the counter, having to call their customer service again — where a different employee finally gave me a code over the phone. Another chunk of time and energy wasted on what should have been a very simple fix.
I try to support Finnish businesses instead of always turning to the super-large ones (like Verkkokauppa or Amazon). But this support shouldn’t come at the cost of basic competence or customer dignity. For context, I’ve ordered 15–20 items over the years from a major Finnish electronics retailer — including during summer vacation periods — and not once have I received the wrong item. With this shop, there was a significant error right away, little ownership of the mistake, and what felt like petty or careless behavior (it’s hard to believe the return code was just “forgotten”).
Sure, the controller was about €7–8 cheaper here compared to more reputable sellers — but in the end, I paid far more with my time and frustration. Unless the discount is substantial and you’re feeling lucky, I’d recommend avoiding this shop.
