Great job, 4 hours from start to finish. Big thing for us was the removal of existing asbestos roof panels and new roof installed same day. From original visit, surveyor, tradesmen all arrived at time stated. Communication great.

Excellent work, cladding our garage.
I have used VSF previously to replace my asbestos garage roof. I was very impressed, so decided to get a quote for cladding the garage this time. Contact was easy, personal visit to go through our options and no hard sell. Might not be the cheapest, I honestly don't know, but they delivered in good time, clear costings and friendly efficient and clean working throughout. In my eyes, worth every penny. We chose a light grey and it looks fantastic. The gents fitting the cladding on the hottest day of the year, worked so hard.

Great product but….
Great product, really swift fitting. Very happy with the roof.
Some slight disappointments - found many very sharp pieces of metal left around the place (old bolts cut off during the fitting process); where a new drain pipe support had been fitted to the garage, sharp screw point protruded through intro the garage; email communications were impersonal and referred to me as ‘dear customer’ rather than a name.

Really happy I went with VSF Garage Repairs
Really happy with my new garage roof from VSF. They do the quote using Google earth. If you’re happy to proceed, someone will come out to do the survey. The price doesn’t change from what you agreed. The Surveyor will give you the week it will done, then closer to that date you’ll find out which day of the week it will take place.
On the day, the guys were really professional. My old roof was asbestos and they were in full protective suits to remove it. By early afternoon it was all done. All the beams were replaced inside as well, plus the electrics were taken off and reinstalled. The roof is amazing, couldn’t be happier with it.

Damaged property / poor installation
Absolutely disgraceful the way this company have treated my 80 year old parents.
The installers removed a cast iron downpipe, after being instructed not to by my father, subsequently causing substantial damage to the roughcast rendering on the garage. Their installers claimed their new plastic gutter outlet would not fit into the existing cast iron pipe. After me arriving and explaining to them that the garage had previously been surveyed by their own company prior to installation, plus the fact suitable reducer adapters can be purchased from any reputable builders merchant, I was met by a blank stare, with no attempt of an apology nor rectification. That aside, the newly installed guttering is not even installed square. This is a poor installation, especially considering the price paid.
I have been in the building industry for 26 years, and wouldn't dream of treating my customers like this.
The company are refusing to acknowledge any liability, nor send anyone back out to check the damage, even though it states on their own terms and conditions on their website that they "Rectify any problems that may occur".
Without even attempting to re-attend, they have diagnosed that the problem must lie with poor rendering. A very strange response, considering the company that carried the rendering work is held in the highest regard and carries out most of the roughcast rendering within our area.
They then proceeded to threaten my parents with court action unless the outstanding balance was paid, which my parents proceeded to pay in full.
My parents paid over the average cost to replace an asbestos garage roof, and have yet to receive ANY customer support on an issue that was caused by their own installers.
Avoid this business at all costs !!

Sorry to hear about this, but I think there is some misunderstanding about this issue and your review isn't fair.
After speaking to my installation manager who has been in direct communication with your father on multiple occasions, the issues lie around your rendering company rendering around the old guttering, resulting in some exposed brickwork once the new guttering was installed. (new gutters was stated and signed on the survey)
Our first course of action was to try and resolve this on the day, where our installers staying until evening, but couldn't achieve a finish that they thought was satisfactory for the quality of work we deliver. For this reason, your parents were NOT threatened to pay the balance, and infact held back £800 of the outstanding balance, whilst your father agreed to obtain a quote to have this rendering done by a specialist . We made it clear that the amount charged by the rendering would be deducted from your remaining balance as a gesture of goodwill and as we always try to do, leave our customers satisfied with their experience with our company.
You could almost compare this to your carpet company fitting flooring around your fitted wardrobes rather than underneath it. You later replace the wardrobe with a smaller one and find bare floor underneath, you wouldn't blame the wardrobe installer for missing flooring.
Regardless of this, we have tried to reimburse you for repairs and after direct contact with your father this morning, he has refused to obtain quotes as the sole trader who did the rendering has retired - it was encouraged for him to get in touch with other companies or allow us to, in order to have the garage to our standards at our expense.
The conversation was concluded with VSF leaving the door open and advising him whenever he gets round to repairing this, to give the office a call and we will reimburse accordingly. If you would like to obtain quotes and organise this, it would be much appreciated as we want their garage to live up to the VSF standard as much as you do.
