Booked a flight from Vigo but it got cancelled three weeks before trace dates. We were offered another day to travel but it didn’t work with our travel plans. We decided to cancel the trip and book with another company. Unfortunate the refund was not nearly as much as the price of the tickets - it wasn’t a full refund, just partial - maybe 80%. I was skeptical about booking Vuelling after the poor reviews but they lived up to the poor expectations.

Unreliable

Booked tickets for family holidays + the whole packet (transfers, hotel, etc.). Vuelling changed time of the flights - one is 8 hrs earlier (!!), another one - 3 hrs later (!!!). I received an ultimatum - to accept or to cancel.
I can't even imagine how long would be the real flight delays.
Strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I booked a BA flight operated by Vueling. Trying to get mobility assistance booked was a nightmare. Unlike BA it can't be booked online. Doing it on the phone was extremely complicated and when I asked for email confirmation I was told these are not sent! I was given another number to reserve seats and this number said they won't do that. I asked for email confirmation, was told it woulde be sent but it never was. Totally unsatisfactory service in every way, I shall avoid Vueling. NEVER AGAIN.

Traveling with Vueling Airlines was an absolute nightmare. On our flight from Paris to London Gatwick, we arrived at the gate 10 minutes before departure due to delays at passport control, where we were assured we wouldn't miss our flight. Despite this, when we got to the gate, we were told we had missed it.

There were five employees at the gate, yet not a single one would acknowledge us or offer any assistance. One woman, in particular, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Instead of helping us rebook our flight or offering any kind of support, she completely ignored our pleas for assistance. The lack of communication and the sheer indifference of the staff was appalling.

I would never recommend Vueling to anyone. Their customer service is atrocious and they clearly don't care about their passengers. Avoid this airline at all costs.

If I could give this airline zero I would! My 74yr husband used this airline when visiting England in August. He was due to fly from Hamburg via Paris and his flight was cancelled. He was told to book a hotel for the night and it would be reimbursed (I don't think there was any talk of reimbursing the €57.95 he had to pay for cancelling the hotel he already had booked!) They also managed to lose his luggage which he has only just got back (most of which was gifts he had brought to give to people in England) He had to go to Haneda airport to collect it himself and was then charged customs for his own luggage!! As his English is not so good I offered to put in the details to claim his hotel fee back but when I tried on their automated system it would not accept the code required to proceed. After searching for a long time I found an email address and explained the situation there only to get an automated response sending me back to the original automated system I couldn't move forward on. So basically they have made it impossible for you to get your money back... an absolute con and they should be investigated for fraudulent behaviour!!
Do not touch this company!!!!

Don’t rely on Vueling for customer service

We regularly fly with Vueling from London to Spain. We booked flights a long time ago for 4-8 May. By chance we found out that our direct flight no longer exists. Vueling did not have the courtesy to proactively inform us. Their customer support function is non-existent. No ability to call them and speak to a human. Their online customer service is via chat bot with limited capability. I understand a low cost airline model but this is beyond appalling. Be warned!

No response to complaints

My girlfriend and I booked a package holiday where the airline was Vueling. Flying to/from Gatwick/Rome. My girlfriend is a nervous flyer so we paid extra to sit near the front (she prefers this). On our return flight from Rome the plane was nearly full. We were nearing take off when a flight attendant requested everyone in our row to move to the rear of the plane to 'balance it out'. Long story short, we did without fuss. No one else had paid to upgrade. On our return we tried to complain to get a refund, but despite contacting them countless times, we have got nowhere. Avoid if you can!

When my flight was booked online I declared that I have disability and I required assistance but at the Barcelona check in airport the flight attendence did not ask if I needed any assistance and asked me to lifted up a 20 kilos luggage because she could not bend her back to tag my luggage after I told her that I have degenerative spine I could not get it lifted she said if you want me to tag your luggage you have to lift it so my son who has scoliosis and herniated disc on his back had to help me, she's certainly in the wrong job! I do not recommend Vuelling flight even if it was free. In addition, during the flight one of the flight crew member did ask me to sit down while I was going to the toilet despite the airplane was not in movement yet but she did let another guy use the toilet. They are quite rude people.

Vuelling customer service is not existing

Impossible to contact Vuelling customer service via phone, mail og website after I bought my ticket and wanted to add a booking for my dog. They claim you can do this by calling them, but not possible and not possible to add via website. So frustrating. Waste of so much time. Never again.

Vuelling airlines and holding on to other people’s money.

I have been waiting oh so long for my refund of £822.
After what must be my 120th call on Saturday 12th Feb.i was promised by what sounded like a genuine individual that everything was resolved and that I should expect an e mail within 48 hours with the details to process my refund.
72 hours and no e mail.
Well probably an oversight , so another call and a response from a complete moron who said that the system was broken and it can take a further 90 days.
Coming up to 2 years in September,is this a record for dealing with an incompetent company ?
For goodness sake Vuelling get your act together.

DO NOT FLY WITH THEM. they don't pay the refund they are saying and are using tricks to avoid to contact them and the only way to contact them is to get thru as a clients that wants to buy more. arter that they are setting you on hold and not coming back. Do not book with these people. They cancelled my flight 4 months ago and I am still emailing and calling daily for my refund. They keep telling me It’s being processed and I never receive it and now they are ignoring my email. I can’t now book more flights for Eurodisney for me and my daughter as I don’t have the money :(

Thieves!!!! When everything gets back to normal I sincerely hope people remember what they did to their loyal customers during the pandemic!!!!

Vueling cancelled my flights due to Covid. No biggy, just refund like every other honourable airline was doing at the time. No, not Vueling. I have now been trying to get my refund for well over a year now! In that year I have heard every promise, excuse and blatant lie. They even put the phone down on me when I insisted on speaking with a manager as I was getting nowhere! Apparently their 'new' company policy is to say no to you 3 times and if you ask again they have to end the call. REALLY!!!
To this day I still haven't received my money back from these crooks and judging by other reviews this seems pretty universal. The question is then, if they are illegally holding on to a considerable amount of other peoples money for a service they did not provide WHY AREN'T THEY BEING INVESTIGATED???? I'm pretty sure if I stole a large amount of money the police would be knocking on my door - so why not Vueling???
As the title says, I really, really, hope people remember just how unscrupulous this company was during the pandemic when it was the toughest times for everyone then chose any other airline other than Vueling when flying in the future.

AVOID Vueling!

I actually would give a 5 minus star rate if that would be possible, as I have never been treated so disrespectful by an Airline company before. Double as expensive than Easyjet or Ryanair but with difference no refund when they cancel the flights. My mom is 88 and had a flight to Spain to visit us for X-mas. unfortunately she was not able to take the outbound flight because she had some health problems just 1 day before the flight. So outbound flight was gone, but as I was looking for a later flight for her I kept her return flight as I thought I might use it for her later on. Than 4 weeks before the return flight I got a message from Vueling, that the return flight was cancelled and I could ask for refund by entering in my booking. I tried to enter my booking but there was a message saying that I have to contact customer service. Trying to do so, I had to find out that nobody was taking the phone and therefore impossible to get in contact with Vueling (not to mention the high phone charges on their customer service number). Anyway after several hours of searching for a contact I was able to find a web link where I brought up my problem. Vueling replied to me with this wording (italian with translation beneath)

“Dopo aver analizzato il suo caso abbiamo verificato attraverso il nostro sistema che il suo volo ha subito ritardo/cancellazione a causa di circostanze estranee alla Compagnia.
Problemi metereologici, impatti con volatili, scioperi, chiusura di piste o aeroporti, o problemi legati alla operativitá in generale sono considérate cause estranee alla compagnia e contro la volontà della stessa. Di conseguenza siamo spiacenti informarla che, come stipulato dal Regolamento Comunitario di Protezione dei Passeggeri, in questo caso non corrisponde nessun tipo di compensazione economica.”

After analyzing your case, we checked through our system that your flight was delayed / canceled due to circumstances beyond the Company. Weather problems, bird strikes, strikes, closure of runways or airports, or problems related to operations in general are considered causes unrelated to the company and against the will of the same. Consequently we are sorry to inform you that, as stipulated by the Community Passenger Protection Regulation, in this case it does not correspond to any type of economic compensation.

I replied to that mail by saying, that the flight is on January 17th and there is still 4 weeks to go, so I would like to know which circumstances they are talking about for the flight to be cancelled.
Again in their next mail they replied with exactly the same text but in addition I was told that the case was now closed. So wow...they just shut me up without any explanation!!!

What they are doing is called theft and an absolute cheek.
In a similar case I experienced with Ryanair and Easyjet, both companies showed how much they value their customers and showing greatness by even refunding flights that were canceled because of the Covid within 14 days. That is worth an applause!!

Referring to Vueling I can only say “thumbs down” and for me... never again will I choose that company. Furthermore I will do my best to make public what happened. That poor behaviour and lack of sympathy they show for their customers is beneath all dignity.
Also they seem not to have any backbone, as going through all the bad reviews here in Trustpilot I noticed they have never given any comments back.
AVOID them at all costs if you do not want to loose money!

A bunch of gangsters

I booked five flights for a trip in May before covid happened. British airways and Easyjet behaved honourably and refunded my money quickly but Vuelling have behaved like gansters. They refuse to follow the obey the law and give refunds and have removed any way of contacting them by phone. I will never fly with them again as long as I live.

Utter garbage

Stealing money, doggy numbers

They've cancelled my flight and returned with a "Flight credit" which is actually below the amount I initially paid for the flight. It also says on the email that to get an actual refund I must call them - but there is no one to pick up their phones. Absolute scam. I have no money, I do have incorrect credit that I don't need and I have no flight.

The company must change the flight if it cannot provide the service or refund a full amount. Vueling just ignored that.
