Just phoned in rude reception

Just phoned in. Asked if the Convertible 66 plate had service history and a timing belt / chain changed.
He became instantly rude and said it’s not a belt it’s a chain. I had to give him the car number plate he was selling as he didn’t know his stock!
He cut me off. I phoned back and asked why he’d hang up on a potential customer. His reply - Well I told you on this model it’s a chain. Besides we wouldn’t change it anyway.
I assume the young voice wasn’t the owner and clearly doesn’t enjoy giving good customer service or working Sundays.

Don't bother reserving a vehicle it's not honoured

Being local I always try and buy from the area, I saw a Peugeot on Buckingham's website for sale over the New Year and on 2nd January 25 reserved the vehicle via Buckingham's website and paid the £99 reservation fee. I was then phoned by a sales person later that morning and was told that someone was looking at the vehicle at 1030 and as this had been arranged prior to my reserving the vehicle they had first choice. I was angry about this because as far as I was concerned I had reserved the vehicle and if the other people wanted the vehicle they should have reserved it but they didn't and it was still for sale. I was then called again at 1100 and told they had brought the vehicle and that my fee had been refunded. The salesperson was not very apologetic and stated he had done nothing wrong, well neither had I, but I was the loser in this mess and feel I have been unfairly treated. Their vehicle reservation scheme is a waste of time and not fit for propose as it is not honoured, a very disappointed customer .

I would like to thank Billy and Neil…

I would like to thank Billy and Neil for an absolutely incredible experience on Saturday when myself and my partner went to look at a beautiful Peugeot 308 convertible. Neil you are such a credit to yourself and Billy, the engine on the car was as clean and polished as a brand new car, you would never believe it is 12 years old. Billy what can i say, you are an absolute gentleman and without a doubt the most honest and transparent guy we have come across in our search for a car. Billy went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasant and inclusive one. Most of the cars in this place are way above what we paid for ours, yet we were treated with just as much importance as the person spending 16,000.
Thank you so much Billy and again we specifically want to mention Neil, who is a genius in his field of electronics and engines. Thank you to you both we are extremely grateful to you both <3 Lorraine and Pete :)
If your worried about purchasing a car in this place, dont be you are guaranteed honesty, respect and an A class experience... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Billy please do give Neil our sincere thanks x

100% Happy with my Audi and the service I received from Buckingham

Seen the other, older reviews and I can only base my review on my own experience which was nothing short of perfect from start to finish. I viewed the selection of cars they had in stock and found the perfect car for me. 10 years old but immaculate. Fully main Audi Dealer service history and one owner from new. I placed a deposit and then tried to organise finance through a 'car finance' broker which was proving very problematic but owner Billy, despite having numerous other enquiries about the car, kept it reserved for me for 10 days at which point he suggested cancelling the use of the broker and going directly through the reputable lender that Buckingham use regularly. Within 5 minutes of submitting my application it was accepted. I popped in the next day and picked up my gleaming new (to me) Audi A3 Cabriolet. Serviced, valeted and a 3 year extended parts and labour warranty which I opted for too. I cannot thank Billy enough for his patience and help he gave me to make sure I got the car I really wanted. I found him and the whole team there to be friendly, helpful and knowledgable

False Advertising

This car dealer is practicing false advertising. They posted a VW Polo with Bluetooth function and when the buyer bought the car and found out there was no bluetooth function, the sales, Bill, been pushing away responsibility and asked the buyer to call another day. And when the buyer happened to catch him on phone, he had been figure pointing to Autotrader and claimed autotrader added the bluetooth function to the ad and they were not liable for anything posted at Autotrader. Autotrader responded the car dealer is legally responsible to the ad posted. Bill refused to provide refund to the car. This is a car dealer that anyone should avoid at all cost. You have been warned! Don't buy any car from them, they are dishonest car dealer!

Horrendous experience

Horrendous experience! Extremely appalled by the service which Raya provided my Husband, Jonathan. He brought his Audi Estate in to Raja with problems with the transmission, stuttering in 1st gear and problems with the reverse gear. After initially not looking at the car for 3 weeks, Raja informed us the coolant had leaked from the radiator into the clutch and gearbox and the works to fix this was around £3.5k. He reassured us he’d received technical information directly from Audi in Germany and that this would fix the problem. He also confirmed this would cost £3,500 to fix and wouldn’t be a quick fix solution. We agreed to pay the fee with the confidence that this would fix the car long term. Once the work had been done, Raja assured us the car had been fully tested for 400 miles and that the problem was resolved.

After nearly 2 months, I come to collect the car. All seemed well until the next day I noticed in heavy traffic the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS were still happening, if not made worse by the £3,500 in works undertaken on the car. The stuttering setting off in first gear and problems getting into the reverse gear.

My husband contacted Raja immediately explaining this to get his opinion and has been completed ignored. After 2 months of my time waiting for the car, endless chasing for updates, numerous calls, lots of reassuring conversations with Raja around how he’s an Audi expert and £3,500 and i'm back to square one with a faulty car. Avoid at all costs - this garage cannot be trusted, they will take your money ask return a faulty car. Take your business and money elsewhere if you want your car fixed property.

Disgusting sales practices

I purchased a audi a5 cabriolet 4 months ago from this dealership the add they put up was saying that it was a spectacular condition vehicle with full service history.

When I took the vehicle to the mechanics a few days later to get it serviced I was made aware that the timing belt and drive chain badly needed to be replaced and the front engine mounts had completely gone through further inspection of the vehicle found that the engine had been rebuilt, none of which was made aware to me at the time of sale all that Bill said was go get the AA best warranty which you cannot get for vehicles over 10 years old.

I had got these issues fixed at the cost of £1900 and then the next day the drivers window regulator went which I got fixed one week later the car broke down which appeared to be the fuel injector so I contacted the garage due to these number of issues.

The response I received from Bill was that it was sold as spares and repairs which it was not and the add was not clear on that.

Bill had offered me £350 which is nothing to the already over £2000 I had already spent repairing the vehicle.

In the end of about two weeks of back and forward Bill then agreed to refund me half of what I had spent to repair and fix the issue with the car. Even though I asked for a full refund and return the vehicle.

Took two weeks to do so.

When I finally went to get the vehicle back they had stated that it was poor work from the garage I got the car serviced and they had to redo the work.

A month later the same issue has happened and contacted the garage and the stated the issue was caused by sub standard work done the first time and then Bill no longer has anything to do with it.

The other issue on the vehicle is the window seal has completely perferated.
In regards to the rebuild I went directly to audi because they states that because that model the vehicle would have been recalled to have a engine rebuild.

Audi have no record of this happening last contact with audi was in 2012 for general servicing.

Honestly avoid this dealership like the plague they sell vehicles with poorly rebuilt engines and honesty aint there strong point, also what became evident is they hold off on major servicing so that the customer has to foot the bill. The worst experience of my life and now I been stuck with a broken down car work £2000 when I brought it for £6995 and spent £2000 plus repairing.

SAVE YOURSELF do NOT use this dealership.

We love our A4 to bits and it’s always…

We love our A4 to bits and it’s always gone to a dealer for a service but this time it’s come back with an oily finger print on the head lining and scuff marks on the centre console. I’m sure it was an accident but it would have been nice if they’d been honest and not left it to us to discover

Stay well clear of this dealership.

Stay well clear of this dealership. The most appalling service I have EVER come across. On their own website it’s 5 star reviews after 5 star, but I think they write them themselves, it’s the only way this bunch would get 5 stars. Update, they finally contacted me, and gave a load of bull**** regarding IT problems with email's. I sent another two replies to there emails giving them another chance to sell the car to me.
What happened? Nothing, again no response at all, so without doubt the RUDEST and most INCOMPETENT company I have ever dealt with. So as stated stay well clear, if this is what they call pre-sales service, then after-sales service certainly won't exist. A bunch of useless incompetent morons. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

The car purchased 8 weeks ago was for…

The car purchased 8 weeks ago was for the most part ok despite being a truly garish colour. This was chosen by choice but very very reluctantly, and was the primary reason the car had been unsold on the forecourt for months, as confirmed by the salesman, although they will obviously now deny this to add to their many existing deceptions. Whether or not I saw the colour before buying is irrelevant - it remains an eyesore of a colour.
Our concerns were raised when the salesperson advised me to dismiss the Manufacturers official timing belt change interval recommendation [time], and base it only on miles. The vehicle was far the required mileage for a change but overdue on time. Reckless at best. The garage has since claimed to be only following the service book (printed 11 yrs ago), yet most recent VW advice supersedes this, and the garage knows this, but ignores it to save cost of changing the belt itself. Appalling.
We were then assured that the v5 would be urgently sent off on payment day. It wasn’t; I found out by chance it was actually sent almost a week later meaning delay over the Christmas period. Concerns peaked when the same salesperson looked me in the eye to confirm that the tyres were brand new, making a point of going out to check them himself. Only they weren’t brand new at all but part worn – an indisputable fact. They have since claimed having an invoice means the tyres were new, but they simply were not new, as photographic evidence taken at delivery shows. A tyre fitters confirmed this too.Very very confused at why Buckinghams continue to lie about this, and then have the sickening audacity to claim the buyer is lying. Can a photo lie? No.
Disgusting they believe they can pull the wool over buyers’ eyes. We never received any explanation for these unnecessary deceptions despite requesting it. A number of emails to the sales team for explanations were ignored, as were number of attempts to contact the General Manager. All evidenced by email. Shortly after the General Manager was conveniently revealed as on extended sick leave, and would not be in contact at all. My reasonable believe is this was yet another deception.
Just when it couldn’t get any worse, the Service Manager became involved despite there being no Service issue, who also began being deceptive and making wild accusations. What is it with Buckinghams - Is it in the training? He seemed totally ignorant to the fact that his help was NOT sought, only that of the absent General Manager - the ONLY person with the required authority. Difficult to see why that was so hard for him to understand. One can only assume he could not accept he did not have the required authority. Since then the sales team have again claimed they have been in touch - sadly yet another fabrication, as an email trail clearly shows they were repeatedly asked to justify their deceptions, but didn’t. Thereafter the Service Manger wouldn’t stop contacting us when specifically asked NOT as to be bordering on harassment, to the extent he had to be warned off with the threat of involving the police. There was nothing bizarre about this, it was regrettably the only way to get respite as his argumentative contact of keeping unnecessarily replying became anxiety inducing, which at best was offensive, naive and patronising. His argumentative nature underpinned Buckinghams total unprofessionalism. The garage since claimed it was sent ‘rude’ emails. It must then have a sensitive disposition, as it wasn’t sent anything offensive at all as the email trail shows.
Overall the most unrecommendable, disconcerting & appalling experience matched only by the weakest excuses ever encountered, and multiple deceptions. The worst purchase I have ever made. Don’t be taken in by positive reviews elsewhere that tell half the story. Looking back through their 1 star ratings, the word ‘lie’ crops up countless times. Nothing Buckinghams state can be trusted sadly; any response they make here or elsewhere is simply further fabrication, deception, and unsubstantiated denial which they will cook up in a desperate attempt to exonerate themselves publicly. Buckinghams have since asked 'what can they do'. How about not lying to buyers. Truly worthy of bringing to the attention of Trading Standards. Spend a little extra and go to a main dealer.
