SEEKERS

SEEKERS. DO NOT USE THIS AGENT! I’d give no stars if possible.
Now known as SEEKERS to try and distract from their previous poor reputation!
They used every tactic at the end of the tenancy to ensure that by the time we needed to use TDS it was too late and it has taken me 7 months to gain a return of 3/5 of the deposit. They also left gaps of up to 3 weeks before replying to emails as well as not returning calls. A ‘landlord’ (ie the business) who isn’t prepared to cough up for the wear and tear of their property, however, is prepared for a house full of professionals to be without 1 of 2 bathrooms for 5 weeks despite regular contact asking for repairs to take place that were not caused by tenants. Also a bathroom door that wasn’t hung when we moved in and took 2 weeks……we were accused of removing said door upon starting our tenancy! If you do decide you can risk losing money, take a full inventory and pictures. We left the house cleaner than when we moved in but were still penalised. Even if your young person has the funds to sign an agreement, insist on having a guarantor as the way this company works, is to manipulate young people for their own gain. Yes, you could argue we should’ve gone through small claims but the stress already inflicted was just too much. I cannot stress enough please please do not use.
Ps also check under mattress protectors when you move in and check BOTH sides of matress!!!!!

This manipulative company is now called SEEKERS

This company is now called SEEKERS. I could write a book about their callous attitude to tenants. But this sums it up: they tried to withhold virtually the entire deposit at the end of the tenancy. They know the game and delayed at every stage to try and exceed the three month cut-off after which tenants cannot launch a dispute with the ombudsman. Luckily, one of us was savvy enough to deal with their cynical behaviour. Upshot: we got almost all the deposit back (it took 7 months and a lot of work)

**STUDENTS PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY**

**STUDENTS PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY**
Seekers, formerly Walton Robinson, are a company not fit for purpose. The property rented was in a run down state on arrival and various requests for maintenance were not actioned. Upon the end of tenancy report, nearly all of the problems reported were unfairly attributed to our tenancy.
That's not the end of it!
Tenancy finished in September 2024 and now in January 2025, even though a figure has been agreed through the TDS service, we are still waiting for our deposit to be returned.
Please avoid this company at all costs

Terrible agency do not use

Just to warn anyone thinking of or taking up a tenancy with Seekers (previously Walton Robinson). If you are determined to go ahead with it and I recommend you don’t at least ensure you take photos of everything when you move in to show the general condition from day 1. Hopefully this will help you avoid being ripped off on the deposit return as we were. The landlord over charged and also claimed for things that had been in a poor state for the entire tenancy. Basically the students house was in a sub standard condition at the beginning of the tenancy and the landlord saw the students deposit as a way of fixing issues at the end of their tenancy. Seekers supported the landlord in this and not the students who in the end lost their entire deposit and were even charged extra.

Just to say what a fantastic company…

Just to say what a fantastic company these guys are. As a landlord they provide a professional service and are extremely motivated to let properties. All my tenants are extremely happy with their service they receive. Highly recommend.

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE A STUDENT!!!!!!

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE A STUDENT!!!!!!
we used Walton Robinson to rent our second year house. they were very uncooperative and lazy, not replying to emails etc. They gave us two WIFI boxes neither of which were registered to the property so didn't work. We asked for weeks for a breakdown of our bills package so the wifi could be taken off but we had no reply. Absolutely dreadful service especially for students who are renting for the first time. Avoid at all costs!!!
