Great service

I found I had a leaking waterbutt on Sunday morning and wanted to replace it as soon as possible.
Waterbutts Direct had a good selection so ordered mid-morning.
The item arrived less than 48 hours later.
Despite being slightly larger in capacity than the one it was replacing it fitted perfectly.
It looks great and is filling up nicely.

A big thanks for great service. Highly recommended.

Poor communication through and through

I ordered a £350 product on-line, it was listed as “in stock”, and I received a confirmation of my order. A week later, the product had not been delivered. Upon checking my account on the website, it simply stated that the order has been “closed”. Nobody had been in touch to explain why or to apologise, or even to suggest an alternative product. When I rang to speak with a customer adviser, firstly about the refund, I was met with a man who was not prepared to listen and who kept interrupting and talking over me, obviously making me feel that he had not quite taken onboard the reason for my call. I eventually gave up and cut the conversation short, never getting to the second part of my query, to try and understand why my order had been cancelled in the first place.
Will definitely not be using this company again.

Says water butt in stock on line but it…

Says water butt in stock on line but it wasn't. I waited, and did not arrive. Now other retailers are also out of stock and I can not get the one I wanted.

They are refunding me, but very disappointing- as I have just had my front garden landscaped to have a space defined for this size and shape water butt.

Terrible

Spend over £200 on a water butt only to find no drain diversion connection included. when I called was told " it doesnt say it is included and doesnt say it isn’t". makes no sense. I don’t mind buying this but it should have been clear this needs to be purchased separately. What a waste of time.

Another company that list items "in stock" to get your business

WaterButtsDirect are effectively a drop shipping company, seemingly a middle-man to the product manufacturers and don't stock items, although their website would trick you into thinking they do - with an "in stock" label next to each item on their website.

I specifically ordered items that were listed as "in stock" on their website, due to time constraints on a particular job, only to later find out that they were not. Which was a let down... I felt the need to constantly have to send emails following up as no ETA of delivery could be provided and I ended up waiting for almost 4 weeks for different parts of my order to arrive at different times. The process behind the scenes seemed purely human driven and no automated notifications of how the order was progressing. Just completely disorganised.

It was also quite confusing when dealing with Water Butts Direct, as all email communications thereafter the online order seem to come from a completely separate business "GM8 Group".

The organisation need to sort a number of things out - mainly their website, technology and customer service experience... I think I will be sourcing water butt components from elsewhere next time I need them.

No info on the pipe diameter

No info on the pipe diameter of the diverter, so I ordered the wrong extension hose. I had to cobble together with mastic and jubilee clips to make it seal. Also the pipes onto the diverter and the butt leaked at both ends and needed gaffer tape to seal. I have 4 other butts, so I am not a novice installer. Although email warned that items could come separately I fail to see the necessity of 2 "linked" water butts coming on separate days.

I have used this Company on numerous occasions and the service has been exemplary. However, my latest purchase has been a disaster. I purchased a new water butt and the website indicated delivery within 3-5 days. 10 days later I'm still waiting with no sign of the delivery in sight.

Good product, but poor delivery performance

I’ve had four butts over the last two years. I’ve been pleased with the products that met design and quality expectations.

But the last one went to the wrong address due to courier “drop and run” when they couldn’t find the right place. Packaging soaked in the rain and the water butt dented in transit.

Please ensure you work on your delivery courier performance

Poor service; misleading offer

Northumbrian Water direct it’s customers to this firm to buy a water butt. Saw that they had a Black Friday deal of 20% off advertised on the NorthumbriannWater butt page, so tried to buy one. Code wouldn’t work, so contacted firm on Monday morning to be told couldn’t use code for that deal. Double checked and took screenshots and they clearly advertised the offer without exclusions. Emailed them twice after that without a reply. Advertising standards?

Our offer was clearly stated across all our media, social, email and website and google listings. The 20% code only worked during the hours of Friday and was advertised as a sitewide sale but not applicable to previous offers or sale items. Any existing offers would be external to this and therefore not work, hence why any other offers did not advertise a black Friday sale, only their current heavily subsidised offers.

Our system could not process a double offer as this causes errors in finality. This was explained to you on the phone. Any external information not from us would not be accurate as the only place to generate an order for black Friday is on our website not on external websites.

We would not be able to offer a discount on a discount. The offer you specify is a specific listing and and existing deal. Our banner clearly stated this was not included and the floating page banner was simply to show the current offers for black Friday. As you couldn't checkout this is why. You therefore had to option to choose one deal or the other but not both at once.

Our customer service team were there to help and tried to help best they could.

Superb customer service

I am very pleased with my new water butts, they look really good and appear to be excellent quality.
I must also praise their excellent customer service. A tap failed to arrive with one of them and it was arranged for it to be sent direct to me, which it was, and it arrived very promptly.

i advise anybody looking to buy a water butt to go directly to the manufacturer as they were a lot cheaper in my case [enduramaxx] this is just a sell it on at a profit outfit do your homework

Awful service, placed order for a water butt and connector, received confirmation with an order number sent instructions on how to fit both, took payment,then sent connector,so I chased the water butt to be told I would get in in the next seven days, then a further email saying they had checked and I had nothing on order,
