I ordered water based paint over the counter recently at the Wattyl paint shop Morphett vale outlet. To my surprise,when I went to use it it was oil based.( My fault for not checking,).When I went back to the shop to try and have it replaced for what it was meant to be, the attendant refused to believe it was mistakenly provided to me. He kept saying, that was what I ordered. I walked out with the paint I never ordered.
Lesson learnt by me, read label prior to exiting the store, "Wattyl Paint shop" Morphett Vale will never see me again!

WATTYL'S BRASS LACQUER is absolutely crap.
You go near it with Methylated Spirits or Turps even after its been left to dry for a week and you have to paint strip and re-coat the entire Brass Piece.

It would have to the quickest drying and total load of crap for $40.00 per aerosol can i have ever bought.

Penetrol Flood will do the job in an aerosol for $10.00 less per can and will not react the minute a bit of Turpentine or Methylated spirits comes near, when dry.

I have just 30 Salter Brass scale faces in this Wattyl Crap and i have now become atunbed to the fact that i have had to strip and redo a third of them except where i Have Used Penetrol Flood.
