⭐ Honest Parent Review
I usually don’t write reviews, but as a parent, I feel really disappointed and frustrated with how things are going at Webster University Tashkent.
My daughter studies there, and what she’s been through doesn’t match what we expected from a respected international university. There’s so much unprofessionalism — and it’s heartbreaking to see how careless some of the teaching and management practices are.
For example, one of her teachers forgot to even upload an assignment on time. Now my daughter has to rush and submit it within one day before the deadline, and somehow it’s her responsibility. How is that fair? Yet, this was not the first time she forgot to upload it.
Then there’s the feedback. Instead of guiding students or correcting them kindly, some instructors leave pages of comments that sound more angry than helpful. It’s not feedback — it’s frustration. Students need direction, not humiliation.
And now, she got a zero just because her reference page didn’t look “perfect” in APA format. Instead of helping her fix it or explaining what’s wrong, the teacher marked the entire work as incomplete. That’s not teaching — that’s punishing.
What’s worse, I’ve met other teachers doing their MA there, and many of them told me they regret joining. They say some instructors act arrogant, give unclear instructions, and don’t accept questions. It feels like students are treated more like problems than learners.
Even the admissions process was a mess. We were dealing with volunteers — actual students from higher years sitting at the reception instead of trained staff. It didn’t look like a real university office at all.
Webster Tashkent needs to seriously look at what’s happening inside. Students deserve real guidance, patient teachers, and people who care. My daughter works hard, but the system feels careless and cold. That’s not what education should be.
