Avoid like the plague
At first I thought they were good. On the phone they told me their fees and I proceeded to sell 9 vintage champagnes. They booked a courier to collect. When I got an email listing their fees, I was shocked.
£10 per bottle to take pictures and condition reports. Plus £3.50 for liv-ex fee, £3.50 minimum storage fees, plus their 8% commission. It's not worth it in the end. Plus it's £5 to package each bottle. Unless they are in their original box. And when they collect it and you didn't package bottles properly, they charge you £15 per bottle!
So I cancelled it and they called me. When I explained why, he seemed peed off and was quite rude. The fees are not clearly explained. Then he said he may have to charge the courier coat as it may be too late to cancel. Even though they were due next day and I emailed them with three days notice. I said this courier fee was not explained anywhere by phone or in writing. He huffed and puffed (cos he knew I wasn't falling for it) and said he will let me know if I have to pay.
I won't be paying nothing. Be warned. Avoid them! Do not fall for it! They seem like bully boys. If you can't flog your wines, just enjoy them yourself. But don't give them away. They also go by the name of Aston Lovell.
