Becky, you are such a wonderful human who made the special experience of trying on dresses absolutely amazing, stress-free, and truly memorable. From start to finish, you showed incredible knowledge when it comes to wedding dress shopping. The store itself absolutely deserves 5 stars!

Unfortunately, after leaving the shop this is where things took a turn with Wed4Less head office customer service. I have never dealt with such rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful customer service in my life. They insisted that my original dress collection date had been given incorrectly and claimed it was actually 6 weeks later than agreed. This led to a series of frustrating emails, including one that was clearly meant for the store being sent to me, instructing them NOT to communicate with me! How bloody mad is that?

I ended up calling the store in distress, as the new collection date was just 4 days before my wedding. Once again, the amazing team in-store stepped in and resolved everything for me.

Fast forward to today, I collected my dress and had another beautiful experience. Hollie and Dawn made the collection process so special and memorable.

To be clear: the West Brom store is 100% worth 5 stars. The team there are incredible. Sadly, the head office customer service doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

Last July 2025, I visited the West Brom store with my family to choose my wedding dress. I tried on three dresses and decided to order the third. I was fitted in a size 18 and mentioned that I planned to lose weight, but I trusted the staff’s advice and went ahead with the order.
Almost immediately after leaving, I looked back at photos from the appointment and realised the dress looked far too big, especially around the corset back. I returned the following week to try a size 16, which fit much better. When I asked to change my order, I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable, it felt like staff were talking about me rather than helping. But I was assured that a size 16 would be ordered instead of the 18.
Things only got worse from there. When my dress arrived earlier this year, the wrong size had effectively been ordered for my needs. By that point, I had lost weight and the dress was far too big to alter. Despite this, I was told nothing could be done, as they insisted the “correct” size had been ordered, even though my receipt clearly showed size 18.
When I finally received the dress, it was indeed a size 18 and completely unsuitable. I was very upset, but my concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously at all.
Trying to resolve the issue was a nightmare. I contacted the store to arrange an exchange and was told I couldn’t come in on a weekend, meaning I had to leave work early just to attend. When I arrived, they weren’t expecting me and initially showed no interest in helping. Then suddenly I was told a size 14 had been “prepared” for me, which was clearly untrue, as I hadn’t informed them that I’d be coming in that day.
Eventually, they exchanged the dress for a size 14, but it didn’t appear to be new. At that point, I felt pressured into accepting it just to move things along.
If the correct size (16) had been ordered then I would have been able to have it taken in by up to 2 sizes and none of this would have happened.
During this visit, the unprofessionalism reached another level. While I was trying on the replacement dress, a member of staff asked if I knew someone named Lindsey who had left a negative review, claiming head office had told her to ask me. This was completely inappropriate and had nothing to do with my situation.
To make matters worse, my bridesmaid dresses arrived in a completely different, much darker shade than what I had originally ordered. I had already bought matching sashes, which now no longer match. I was told this was due to a “different batch number,” which is frankly unacceptable and felt like a dismissive excuse rather than a solution.
I’ve since been told another sash won’t arrive until June, something that was never communicated at the time of ordering. Head office has been equally unhelpful throughout, offering no real resolution, which has now forced me to request a refund for both sashes.
I have spent over £1500 here and deeply regret not going elsewhere.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that others carefully consider their options before making a purchase.
*update - I have now received an email from customer services with an apology offering me 2 new sashes that will be the correct colour and will be ready within the next 3 weeks. They have also said I can keep the original sashes for anything I may wish to use them for.
I have also recieved an email from the store stating that I have 2 days to take this review down or they will consider taking further action and seek legal advice.

We visited the outlet on Sunday and wow what an amazing experience. Load of dresses to try on and michela was so helpful and honestly made it so special. Thank you michela you are a star ⭐️

I went into the shop thinking I was just going in to look without trying on. I couldn’t believe how helpful the staff were, especially Ashley who had the patience of a saint with me as I had zero idea of what I wanted. I didn’t feel rushed at all even after trying on about 8 dresses, nor pressured into buying anything . Ashley went above and beyond to accommodate me and I ended up with the perfect dress for me . I can highly recommend this establishment in Newcastle.

Carol made the process so easy for me. Explained everything and showed me the section in my size. I was left to browze at leisure. I was helped into all my choices. Very knowlegable and advice given about alterations and accessories with guidance on what works best. Highly recommend. Wide selection of dresses. I came away with something completely different to my inspo pictures. Felt fabulous in the dress ive chosen. Its true what people say, you know when youve found the one. So pleased to find my dress on my first shopping trip.

Bought my dress from wed4less Stockport, and can’t fault any part of it. Renee was absolutely amazing, and couldn’t do enough for us. She made me feel at ease and made what I thought was going to be stressful the complete opposite. Thank you so much for all you did for me!

Holly was absolutely brilliant, she helped me through all of my nerves and provided an amazing experience to help me in saying yes to the dress of my dreams.
After trying on several dresses, I knew my heart was set on one dress, Holly instantly put me back into the dress, added a veil and provided the tissues as the tears of happiness flowed.
There was no pressure, all staff were extremely friendly and even on a busy day there was so much care put into my experience it is something I will remember for a lifetime.

I took home my dress just an hour after trying it on! (I was able to get an 'off the peg' dress) as well as a beautiful veil. Which I had previously forgotten to take into consideration.

We had such a lovely experience prom dress shopping. From the moment we walked in, Angie made us both feel so welcome and comfortable. She took the time to show us around and carefully selected a beautiful range of dresses for my daughter, really listening to her colour preferences and the styles she liked.
Angie was incredibly patient, kind and attentive throughout the whole appointment. She made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable, and thanks to her support, my daughter found a prom dress that she truly feels beautiful and confident in.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience – thank you, Angie!

Stockport store- Amazing experience. RebeccaK was amazing. She made me feel so at easy and comfortable. She was lovely to talk to and put all my nerves at rest. Perfect experience with her. Proper girls girls 🫶🏻 adore her!

Newcastle store was brilliant so welcoming and loads of choices of dresses. Michela made you feel amazing I told her about my anxieties about the style of dresses she listened and knew exactly what I wanted. I said yes to the dress would highly recommend.

Ashley did a great job of helping my daughter find her prom dress. Perfect service.

West Bromwich store.
The staff were really friendly and very helpful. We went to find a prom dress for my daughter and they made her feel really welcome. I think it was the manager who dealt with us, and we honestly could not fault her. She gave good advice on dress styles. My daughter got a little overwhelmed but the manager soon helped her out.
None of the staff pressured us at all. I would definitely recommend this business. Thank you for making our prom dress shopping experience a good one.

Hollie at the West Bromwich Store was amazing. She greeted us & advised on sizing. She made me feel at home straight away, which was my biggest concern. She stayed with me/us the whole time & was honest about her thoughts on the Wedding dresses I was trying on. After trying the 4th & listening to all my feedback & how I felt, she asked if I'd mind her choosing one for me...I said not a problem!! She came back with the most beautiful dress, one I'd have never picked myself. I put it on... & sobbed!! Needless to say, we bought the dress!! I cried, she hugged, it was as just a lovely, calm & precious experience, so I would like to thank her personally for appeasing my nerves & making my experience so easy & memorable. I even asked her to the reception!! Hollie is a great asset to W4L WB & should be acknowledged for her intuition & people skills for such a young age!! Thank you again Hollie, I will make sure you're working the day I collect my dress!!! Also, might need you to train my MoH on how to do the dress up for the actual Wedding day 🤣

I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Michela at the prom dress store, and I honestly cannot recommend her highly enough. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and truly special.

Michela is the definition of kind and attentive. She listened carefully to everything I was looking for, paid attention to every little detail, and somehow just knew which styles would suit me perfectly. She was patient, thoughtful, and never once made me feel rushed or pressured. Instead, she made the whole experience exciting, relaxed, and genuinely magical.

What stood out the most was how much she truly cared. She didn’t just help me find a dress , she made me feel confident, beautiful, and like a complete princess. Every time I stepped out of the fitting room, she was right there with encouragement, honest advice, and the warmest smile. Her eye for detail and her passion for what she does are so clear.

I went to Wed4less Rotherham to have a look. It’s 2nd time round and we are planning to get married on a Greek island. Katie was brilliant. I’m a plus size bride in her mid 50’s and don’t particularly like clothes shopping. I picked out a few dresses to try not expecting to get anything but Katie helped me find “the dress”! I knew it was the one when I didn’t want to take it off or try another and when I came out of the changing room my daughter’s jaw dropped & I felt like a queen! I didn’t feel rushed or pressured and nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend them highly enough

Hollie was really helpful, polite and couldn’t do enough to help my bridesmaids find their dresses. she had outstanding customer service and was very accommodating.

From the moment I walked in I felt at ease, comfortable and really relaxed!

Debbie helped me and was amazing and honest which is what I needed and wanted, I then went away and came back the next day and retried on the dress and a few others and I chose the dress I initially tried on!

After visiting another wedding shop earlier that day and receiving the coldest welcome from unfriendly staff, this visit was completely unplanned — and I’m so glad we stopped by.

Sandra was absolutely lovely. She made me feel calm, welcome, and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The difference in atmosphere was incredible. Her kindness and warm approach completely changed my experience and reminded me how special wedding dress shopping should feel.
