Just visited Wex today for help with some filters for Canon EOS 550D. What a great find and superb shop. Many thanks to Adam Bowler for his expertise, knowledge and helpfulness. Based on today's experience I will always seek out Wex for my camera advice and kit.

Dealt with these people today. Honest and friendly and my order is due to arrive in 2 working days. Easy to use web site - far better than Wacom Store Uk and at least I know it's going to be with me soon - not left in the dark and fobbed off with excuses.

Excellent service from Customer Services at Wex. I had a problem with quick release clamps on two different tripod types. I spoke with a Wex employee on Saturday. He understood the problem straight away and directed me to an adaptor that would provide a solution. The adaptor arrived the following Monday...... and it worked.

I bought a Canon R5 at a cost of £4,199 and after a few months sent a trade in request to these rip off merchants and they offered £2,700 less that 400 shutter actions, that week I checked there used stock and there listed was a used Canon R5 with over 2000 shutter actions and they were asking for £3,500, customer services are a complete joke

I could not believe when I got a demand from Wex to supply a copy of my driving license before they would supply me with an item. Thank god this practise is not widespread and I simply went to another retailer and got the same item cheaper without any issues.

Bought my lens here. Fantastic service again from Owen at Wex Birmingham. Great advice let me try the camera lens before I bought it.

I tried to trade my camera+lens with a used camera. I got a quote from WEX which I accepted and valid for 14 days. Two days later when they got the equipment they reviewed the offer 65% less. They downgraded the camera and even refused to accept the original cable that came with the camera. Shameful and not ethical at all. The quote was valid for 14 days.
No more business with these people.
You should avoid them.

As a client of Fixation, now WEX, since I bought my first Nikon about 30 years ago, I am still their biggest fan and would never consider going to any other photographic retailer or let anyone else repair my equipment. I always ask their advice and they always know the answer. They stock everything I need and more and have saved me many times from near disaster. Frankly I would not be where I am now without them. Cannot recommend highly enough. Don't go anywhere else.

I am a keen amateur wildlife photographer and only use Canon products. In the last few days I have been interested in portrait photography and decided to buy a used 50mm lens. Having searched the internet, I saw that Wex had the lens I fancied and at £50, it was a bargain. I placed my order using my credit card and looked forward to trying out my new lens. By the afternoon, I still had not received a confirmation email, so I rang them. After giving one of their salespersons my postcode, first line of address and name, I was informed that I had been beaten to the post and that someone else must had ordered it before me.
I wonder how long I would have had to wait before Wex informed me that I would not be getting the lens, which I believed I had paid for.
Can't see me using them again.
Pity as I am looking to buy the new Canon 1DX mkii (£5k+) and was thinking of using this company as they are a Canon Pro dealer.
