We used Wicks in Anerley a few times now in for both in store purchase and ordering.
On all of these occasions, we have found the service of the personnel in store exceptional. Firstly the attentiveness and assistance given to us by a young man, unfortunately I did not take his name but, he was extremely helpful and patient with us.
Secondly in relation to deliveries. The delivery cost with Wick is definitely worth the cost! At £4!!! What!! We have had deliveries a couple of times now. On one occasion we didn't check the delivery and it was the wrong item. Unfortunately this was not realised until the item was being used. On raising this with the team, in store, Anna and Kay were able to help rectify and provide excellent customer attention and quick resolution.
Please continue to staff Anerley Store with great employees and thank you to all those we have encountered :)

Wickes service and pricing seems to have got rather keen recently, at least in the Anerley store.
Hats off to Afrim for his super-patient assistance in getting me set up on my mobile with a trade account. He certainly knew his way around the systems - I thought he was IT Support!

At Annerley Wickes staff are always helpful. I've been unable to review this store on Google again because they only allow one review! And because it's already glowing, if you wish to add another you have to go elsewhere... so that's why I'm here!
On the day I'd had rather too many bad experiences at Tool-Screw-Station-Fix I found everything I needed at Wickes.
Afrim - on the cash desk - made everything seem peaceful and easy - and he recommended a 'loyalty card' which will look as if it will save me lots of money!
By focusing on Wickes - and eschewing the others - by buying and seeing! - it results in much less angst!

I’m leaving this review to share my experience with Wickes regarding a recent kitchen renovation order.
On 25th April, a designer visited my flat to discuss plans for the new kitchen. I then visited the store on 1st May to finalise the design and paid a deposit of around £700. I was informed that the remaining balance would be settled on the delivery date via Novuna Finance.
I had requested a specific delivery date—14th May—which was confirmed verbally. I was advised not to use the link in the confirmation email, as the delivery would be arranged directly. Unfortunately, I never received written confirmation of this, which created uncertainty.
There was also an issue with my address being entered incorrectly, which almost caused a delivery delay. Thankfully, a team member stepped in to resolve this and ensured the kitchen arrived on time. Their help was greatly appreciated, especially as I had builders scheduled based on that delivery date.
However, once the builder began work, it became clear the kitchen had been measured incorrectly. Wickes responded quickly and arranged a remeasure and reorder, which I was grateful for. That said, my builder had to stop all work on 27th May due to missing items, and the revised delivery date was pushed to 10th June. This resulted in a two-week delay, added stress, and unplanned expenses—including having to reschedule tradespeople and push back the renovation timeline.
Adding to the frustration, a frame for the wine rack was missing from the original delivery. Although a replacement order was placed, it has now been over three weeks and it still hasn’t arrived. I’ve attempted to follow up multiple times, but each time I’ve been on hold for over two hours without getting through.
While I genuinely appreciate the professionalism and responsiveness of certain team members, the overall experience has been disappointing due to the delays, poor communication, and the inconvenience caused. Given the impact this has had—both financially and logistically—I believe compensation of 25% of the total order value would be a fair gesture of goodwill.

I had issue with the delivery of the Madison kitchen I ordered from Wickes. Various parts of the order were delivered to a different address, missing items etc. I was at my wits end and was o the verge of logging a complaint but thankfully, with the help of Anna (Operations Manager at Wickes Anerley, the issues were promptly resolved. She was professional, efficient and took ownership of the problem. Thanks to her, the whole experience was turned around. Great customer service!

I bought some plaster & a single 4x8 plasterboard. It was a dry day not paticularly windy but after paying for the goods & pushing the trolley to my car a gusto of wind blew the plasterboard & snapped it 😳. I put the plaster in the car & took the board back to see if i would get an exchange. I didn't fancy my chances but after explaining to Harison at Anerly what happened, with no hesitation & to my surprise he said it was fine to swap it, which i did cut it made sure to cut it to the length I wanted in the shop. I'd like to thank Harrison & all the Anerly team, as they are all great & very helpful. That's why I like going there more than the other DIY shops.
