Excellent service and product knowledge

First time going to Blackheath road Wickes but found the staff a lot more helpful than my local store. A lady served me called Bessa. She was very friendly and polite

Imran Ali (Wickes Blackheath) was great in supporting with our kitchen design, helping not only pick out and measure all the components but also accelerate delivery timelines to ensure we got everything in time for the fitters and installed fast.

We had worked with him previously for our bathroom and was great help then also, and would recommend to anyone else looking to get work done.

Vik from Wickes Blackheath visited us at home and measured up and explained the process. We then visited him on-site a further three times to plan the kitchen. He was very professional, polite and offered lots of advice. He was very relaxed and did not apply any pressure on us at any time. His honest and open approach gave us absolute reassurance that we had chosen well. He arranged an installation date sooner than we thought was possible and the installer Atanas and his team were excellent. They were punctual, polite and tidy workers in a quite tight and challenging location. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they offered excellent solutions for the unforeseen difficulties that they encountered. A great service all round!

We completed a kitchen and bathroom renovation in October last year with Wickes in Blackheath, and our designer, Jing Wang, was instrumental to the project's success. We were impressed with her creativity from the start; she provided a unique and stylish design for our bathroom that we were very happy with.

Her expertise was particularly evident with the kitchen. She suggested a new layout that we hadn't considered, which has made the space feel much bigger and more practical. Jing also recommended our builders, VB, who did a great job.

When we encountered an issue that required some kitchen cupboards to be redesigned, Jing's support was excellent. She was available to help, handled the situation efficiently, and ensured there were no extra costs for the changes. Her care and professionalism were much appreciated, and we would highly recommend her and the experience from Wickes

Outstanding Service from Sadia and Chris – 10/10 Experience

I recently visited Wickes to begin designing a new kitchen and felt compelled to share the exceptional service I received from Sadia and Chris. From the moment I stepped into the store, their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to customer satisfaction made a lasting impression.

Sadia led the kitchen design process with incredible expertise and creativity. She took the time to understand my needs and vision, translating them into a practical and beautifully thought-out design. Her patience, product knowledge, and thoughtful suggestions made the entire planning experience enjoyable and stress-free. It was clear she genuinely cared about getting everything just right.

Chris, the store manager, was equally outstanding. He stepped in with insightful recommendations and practical solutions, helping refine some of the finer details of the design. His calm, solution-oriented approach gave me great confidence. The teamwork between Chris and Sadia was seamless—professional, efficient, and customer-focused from start to finish.

It’s rare to experience this level of dedication and service. Both Sadia and Chris are true assets to Wickes, and their efforts absolutely deserve recognition from senior management.

We've had a great experience working with Jing on our new kitchen. She was patient while we spent a few months browsing, talked us through possibilities, and came up with new ideas. Her ideas and suggestions for design were very good, and she was always honest and straightforward about the options, including finance, and managed the whole process very efficiently. The fitting was excellently done by Nas. Altogether a very positive experience thanks to these great workers.

Ordered an internal door. The door arrived with a massive hole in it. After multiple emails (demanding photos etc) and phone calls (always on hold for ages) they refunded the price of the door, but they refused to collect the door (even though they literally came to my flat in a massive lorry with the replacement door, and I asked the guys on arrival), because they say it “doesn’t make financial sense” for them to bother. So I’m expected to hire a van to drop it at my local Wickes for them. Not sure that makes financial sense for me guys. Dreadful firm, urge people not to bother.

The survey which was carried out after a complete new bathroom failed as it did not identify that the rain fall shower chosen was not compatible with the boiler. This shower required a combi boiler which was only discovered once the bathroom had been fitted. To try and rectify this the plumber asked me to pay for a pump hence in order to get the shower to work you had to hold the hand part of the shower at knee height to kick start the pump. This was totally unacceptable hence I ended up replacing a four year old boiler with a combi boiler at the cost of £4000. The total spend on the bathroom went from £10000 to £14000. I have found the manager at the Blackheath store Chris supportive and understanding. However despite his emails to support providing me with answers as to why the survey failed I has still not received an apology or response from customer services and no support in providing me with compensation for their error. This has been going on for almost 20 months. I would be happy with an apology and refund for their error cost of the boiler. I find it disappointing and disrespectful
that my complaint has been completely ignored and swept under the carpet. Not even an apology or an acknowledgement.
Please be warned - do not trust the survey and Customer services is useless as they fail to communicate.

Vik was great through the entire process. Incredibly friendly, always available and a great bathroom designer. Vik really helped me design a tricky new bathroom and always helped me with what would be best for the design not just the most expensive. Sadly i had to cancel my project due to financial changes but Vik was still great even through this difficult process. Always professional and extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend seeing Vik to anyone using Wickes in the south east London area.

Jing is great - she helped us to design our kitchen in a very personalised style. She was ace - very patient with our decisions (trying our best to save space, so as to be able to fit some extra units) and also reviewing prices to ensure they fit our budget. She also recommended a great installer - who was very proactive and helped us overcome some unseen difficulties when it came to install the kitchen.
Also, once the kitchen was installed, she kept us helping us with some details to ensure all finishes were done in a smooth manner. Thank you Jing + Thank you Wickes.

Bought some fencing materials today and Jackie could not have been more helpful. She was professional, efficient and good humoured - customer service at its best.

I was first introduced to Vik Bungsraz (Design Consultant in Wickes) in the Blackheath Road store.
In a very short time Vik displayed a very high degree of knowledge in this field and of life in general. He was full of charm and Charisma to which he put to good use in gaining the customer’s confidence in both the service and the quality we could expect.
Ideas were thrown back and forward until the basic blocks of the requirements of the customer had been established and thus allowing Vik to explain and demonstrate how these requirements could be fulfilled and at the budget that was agreed upon previously.
Vik was involved in the process from start to finish, ensuring that the satisfaction of the customer was foremost.
I believe that Vik is an asset to any company, I’m just glad he was an asset to me as well.
Vik took control of everything to ensure a smooth transition throughout the whole process and has indeed left this customer very satisfied and would not hesitate in the least , to fully recommend using him and Wickes in any other business.
Vik “owned” the responsibility of the task he assumed.
I have already got friends who are very keen to check things out based on my experience.

Labourers were very trustworthy,friendly, reliable and knowledgeable.
Always able to provide a solution to a problem as if no effort required to do so.
Keen to advise me of all that is going on, providing information, providing options with pros and cons at every turn.
I was well informed during the whole process and my opinion was sought to ensure that I h received the goods and services that I wanted, in a timescale agreed by us both. I would never hesitate to use them again and wholeheartedly recommend them to any prospective customer.
End product exceeded my initial expectations as the quality of workmanship was exceptional.

I got everything I wanted to fit out my bathroom at Wickes Blackheath. Hayley was brilliant at finding things for me. If you’re in store and can’t find what you’re looking for, just look for Hayley and she’ll help.

Today I went to Wickes Blackheath,I reviewed the best service ever from Jessica, she was so patient and kind, she really went above and beyond for me, I just want to say thank you.

The kitchen is good quality, it looks very nice.
The sales process was smooth and easy, thanks mainly to Sadia from Blackheath Wickes store. She has been top notch all the time, replying to my emails even after hours.
Now, the post sales customer service is the real problem with this company. If you have any issues post installation, or need any assistance, then good luck! They will not reply to your emails, and when they do it is after multiple requests, and always in an unprofessional way.

Update: they reached out two weeks ago to follow up on this issue. They've asked me to provide more details of the fault and promised to get the ball rolling. I have sent them all the details they've asked for on the same day, I've chased them up 3 times since then, and not even a reply to say "we've got your email, we'll be in touch soon", I'm just being ignored. I understand that my issue might not be the most severe or urgent, but this is not the way you should deal with customers.

We recently had a Wickes kitchen fitted to an appalling standard. We logged a complaint and was told that because we had signed the satisfaction agreement, little could be done. They offered that the same fitter return and rectify some of the poor work, to which we refused.
A field installation manager came out and took photos of the uneven cupboards and still we have not heard nothing back.
Make sure the designer works full time, we had communication difficulties with that person working part time hours, and that you are not pressurised to sign of the work because the fitter wants their money.
We now have a huge loan to pay back which in my opinion is not worth £16,000, for what would have been a beautiful bespoke kitchen.

Excellent range of good quality products for my decking project, helpful friendly staff, availability of trolleys and loading area plus good prices.
