We have recently had a New kitchen from Wickes Chester Store. We had Martin Jones design our kitchen and he couldn’t be more helpful. He was fantastic with us and going through it all in detail. We had Dominic fit our kitchen and Paul Helm do some work in the kitchen. Their work is brilliant. We are so happy with all of the work and the kitchen has totally changed our home lives. Would definitely recommend. Thank You all so much.

Great customer service when dealing with returns.

We contacted Wickes to design our kitchen and Sophie Utley came out.
Sophie listened to what wasn't working for us and what we thought we wanted.
Sophie went back to design the space and what she came up with was far better then we could have imagined.
The process was very easy, very relaxed and 100% worth it.
Delivery team were fantastic on the day, took 45mins to unload and stack all items.
We had our own fitter and he found everything to be in with the order and no damage to any item.
Finished product is fantastic!
Could not be happier!
Would certainly recommend the whole process to anyone.
Thank you Sophie!!

We recently worked with Karen Byrne at Wickes Chester to design our new kitchen, and she was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Karen really took the time to understand what we wanted, offered brilliant design ideas, and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Her attention to detail and knowledge of the Wickes range helped us make the most of our space, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We couldn’t be happier with the final design — thank you, Karen, for your patience, creativity, and professionalism. Highly recommend!

On our 1st visit to wickes Show room we thought the showroom was excellent.well laid out and welcoming. Sophie our designer had previously rang me for a chat and introduce herself.
We were made to feel very welcome and offered drinks.
The design process was amazing and ideas banded about. We didn't feel under any pressure and went away with a great plan and computer walk through which I couldn't stop looking at.
We went back and ordered a few days later, after adjusting a few things. We then got a delivery date that day for within 7 days
The delivery drivers were excellent and noted a cracked draw tray which was then sent out two days later. The whole process has been excellent and highly recommend Sophie, I'll be sending her the pictures as soon as finished painting. I feel like am stood within the computer generated plan. I can't believe it's ours

Manager Simon was extremely helpful today at the Chester store. My step dad was struggling with screws for a bathroom unit and Simon worked his magic. Thank you much appreciated.

Thanks to Gareth, who designed our bathroom, and was patient, knowledgeable and a great child minder whilst me and mum went around the showroom picking the parts to add to the design of our new bathroom. The whole experience was made easy and surprisingly enjoyable. I could not recommend Wickes, and Gareth more highly. Easily five stars...

Thank you to Simon Gemmell and the Wickes Community Project for their generous support of Soul Kitchen Chester. Their donation will enable us to decorate our new premises from where we will provide food and support to those experiencing hardship. Your help and interest in our charity was very much appreciated Simon. Definitely a five star service!

As a pensioner who's children call 'the Hannibal Lecter of the d-i-y world I visited the Chester branch with a radiator bracket that had come away from the wall - the rawlplugs in the plasterboard had failed.
I was convinced that I would need to buy a hacksaw to remove the defunct fitting but an employee I approached (Simon, who I realised laterwas the branch manager) calmly took the bracket off me and extracted the fittings before taking the time to advise (and select) the correct fitting as well as advising on another unrelated matter.
All this was above and beyond the call of service and Simon is a credit to the company and I do hope is appreciated by his superiors.

Thanks to polly from the painting department who helped us order a new shower.
The manager of the store was too busy making himself a brew to help.

A small gripe but nonetheless annoying. I bought a mortar chisel from Wickes Chester and was offered a receipt but said I didn’t need it. Who knew ??The chisel was faulty, the plastic sheath, cover had moved to cover the bit that you strike. Took it back for a refund as I had already had to get another and was told because I had no receipt I could only swap it or get a gift card. Moral of the story accept the receipt.
It must be difficult working there. Everyone I spoke to including the manager was so miserable and unhelpful.
Update: I have replied to the request from Wickes for more information. I do have proof, I have a bank statement that shows the proof
Update: This is what they’ve concluded with. Seems like they didn’t like the look of me
“Thank you for your email. What we can confirm is that this is seen as a proof of Purchase however as this is not the order receipt this would come down to the stores choice.”

We have recently ordered kitchen furniture in Wickes, Chester. Our design consultant Karen went above and beyond to provide what we wanted and was very patient with all changes we were requesting while creating the design. Karen was also a massive help with the issue she did not have to deal with (after the order was already processed) which we are very grateful for! We are now waiting for our new units and can’t wait to see these fitted in our home.

So far the service for a new bathroom has been excellent. Karen, who has helped with the design, has been friendly, informative and supportive giving good advice. The pudding will be in the eating once the job is done of course

Made an appointment for Wickes Chester to come and measure for a new kitchen and bathroom they then left an answerphone first time I heard from them saying unless I called them back immediately they wouldn’t come to my appointment. Spoke to an individual who interrogated me about why I didn’t choose a closer Wickes store then said he needed to phone me before coming for security reasons? (Never heard of this I’ve had other companies more than willing to come out and measure) then asking what I wanted and said “he just needed to check because it wasn’t worth him coming out if all I wanted was a bath” then proceeded to say I needed to rearrange the appointment?! Not once did he treat me like a potential customer he could sell too. He said “I needed to know what design I wanted before he came out too”. Isn’t that your job?! Where is the customer service?! You’ve had your chance now if your not interested in making the effort with me I’ll go elsewhere I’m not spending thousands of pounds with someone who tells me unless I’m serious and dead set on what I wanted he’s not making effort with me thanks but no thanks.

I ordered a kitchen from Wickes and it was sold to us as an 'easy to install kitchen'. I chose to install the kitchen along with a friend who is an experienced kitchen fitter, rather than use the service provided by Wickes themselves to save on costs. Having almost completed the kitchen I highly recommend never installing the kitchen yourself. This is simply down to the cupboard units not being fit for purpose and not supporting the appliances, such as the oven and extractor fan. Why are Wickes sending carcasses that do not fit and need changing dramatically? The cupboards needed to be pulled apart and restructured making the initial instructions irrelevant. Wickes said this was normal practice for them not to fit together!! Such a waste of time and we were never informed of this at the beginning. Whether you ask Wickes to fit your kitchen or not, the washing machine doors don't fit. They said this was normal and need new hinge holes cut so it does fit! Why not make a door that does fit? When choosing a sink, be warned there is no cradle or waste kit included. You have to purchase this separately. Surprise, surprise they do not tell you this at the beginning either. The design team also omitted upstands from between the units to save costs on the worktop they should have provided. When I contacted Wickes about this they said the cupboards around the sink area do not need them. However the rest of the kitchen does have upstands, so that makes no sense. We were not sent enough worktop and we require another piece. Having contacted Customer Relations they recognized they made a mistake and offered a £50 gift voucher as compensation. Very poor outcome and extremely disappointed with the whole experience. The bottom line is we have been sold a kitchen, however they have not sent everything needed to complete a kitchen to an acceptable standard and to what is advertised. If you are thinking of purchasing one, do not attempt to fit it yourself, or be prepared for it not to go together as they tell you it does when selling it. If a piece of worktop is sent as an acknowledgment of compensation to complete our kitchen, rather than money, I am willing to edit this review rating.
Bought a kitchen at the start of the year. Due to delays getting a kitchen fitter a dint in the sink only got noticed today as it was being fitted. Went into Wickes Chester hopeful of a replacement/refund to be told no due to the length of time. Obviously wont be returning,
Martin Jones at the Chester store was exceptional. Not only were his designs fantastic and exact to our brief, but he also had brilliant suggestions to improve the designs whilst working within our budget. His responsiveness and attention to detail were second to none. We would highly recommend Martin.

I was looking online for scout hut refurbishments when I came across The Wickes Community Fund. I applied online for paint and loft insulation. Very quickly I received an email from Wickes Chester. Their manager Simon Gemmell responded and asked how many required. I did not expect the full amount but as a charity, every bit helps. He has supplied the full amount. Our young people and the older people who hire our scout hut will benefit from a warmer hut. Plus it will lower our heating costs and reduce our carbon footprint. A big thank you to Wickes
