Every time I have been to Wickes Ruislip it has been a poor experience. There is no clear queuing system for the one or two open tills and the queues are always long and time consuming. Very frustrating if you are just picking up a couple of small items. Today they had no price on blue circle cement (surely a popular product). I was asked to lug a 25kg bag to the till to get a price. Disappointing.

I needed to install a bathtub in my bathroom and decided to contract the services of Wickes. From beginning to end, the process was very well organised and they were in constant communication with me regarding the different steps to follow and the dates in which everything was going to happen. I would like to thank Waeil in particular who was the one getting everything in motion very professionally. It felt like having a friend guiding you through the process so all the stress was very much reduced and now I have a very nice bathroom at home. Thank you Wickes! I'll use you again when I need a new kitchen.

Our designer and contact (Ann) at the Ruislip branch was very helpful from the outset on a very bespoke project of ours. Not only did Ann communicate with us throughout (even on her days off), but she understood our brief well, designed it on screen, and provided useful tips and hints for the installation without at any point, being pushy. I went in to Wickes Ruislip as i needed items for my home renovation i.e Flooring, Tiles & Building Materials. I had asked for assistance when a member of staff was walking past and i shouted for help, turns out this was one of the Operation Managers - Pranil.
I cannot remember the last time i had received such help & advice from shopping anywhere else, (normally everyone tends to avoid customers) his customer service is second to none specially with the Knowledge & skills which i later came across. He explained everything in such detail. I was overly impressed with his professionalism.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service I received during a recent visit to the Wickes store in Ruislip. As someone who frequently works on building and renovation projects, I’ve dealt with many suppliers—but the professionalism and attentiveness I experienced here really stood out.
A special thanks goes to Mikel from the design department, who was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in offering the right advice. His recommendations were practical and spot-on, and he made me feel completely supported throughout. It’s rare to come across such dedicated service.
This experience has genuinely made me reconsider where I shop for materials—Wickes will now be a serious alternative to B&Q and Howdens for my future projects. Huge thanks again to Mikel, Ruislip.

Our new bathroom was put in November 2024.
1) The shower door was fixed to the bath and therefore cannot be opened. We had clearly asked for a shower door that opened.
a) This means that we have to climb past the panel to get in. At the age of almost 60 this is difficult for me to do.
b) The bath taps are only in reach to turn on/off by standing in the bath. Therefore if the water poured is too hot, then we have to wade through potentially scolding water to switch the taps off.
2) The colour of the shower fitting was wrong and so did not match the bath taps.
3) The shower will only work if it is initially run on the full cold setting for a while. Due to the incorrect shower door, one has to initially stand in a cold running shower.
4) Last month Wickes sent a new shower door and someone to fix it. This would have been great except that the person who came to fix the shower door stated that this new shower door was again a fixed one and so he could not fit it to make it open. Wickes have so far stated that the person that they sent was wrong and it is a shower door that opens.
It is now the end of April 2025 and despite our constant asking, none of the above problems have been fixed.
In my view this level of incompetence and delay is completely unacceptable.

Have had a mixed bag of experience while getting a bespoke kitchen designed and delivered. On the one hand, Waeil and Anne from the Ruislip Wickes were both absolutely fantastic. Super helpful, friendly, personable, and a merit to the company. On the flip side, when our delivery arrived components were missing/incorrect and the customer service number was unwilling to provide assistance - first telling us there's no way the automated/scanned system could be incorrect, then telling us that in store purchases could only be resolved in store. In honesty I don't think we'd bother with Wickes again, it's a shame such great customer facing staff are let down by the behind the scenes support staff.
