Wickes - Wimbledon Reviews 

I had an incredibly upsetting and disturbing experience today at the Wickes Wimbledon store with a hostile kitchen designer who created an incredibly confrontational meeting. We came in with a simple £2,000 budget for a kitchen design. The moment we explained our budget and stated that we would handle the installation ourselves, he had a complete fit. He became aggressively elitist, snapped that they couldn't work with us, and insisted installation alone had to be £6,000 to £10,000. He completely failed to comprehend that we did not need that service.
From the start, his behavior was unhinged, confrontational, and deeply insulting. When we asked basic questions, he rudely snapped, "Stop talking to the furniture and talk to me." He then aggressively escalated the situation, shouting, "Did you come down here for a confrontation or for a kitchen?"
The final straw was when he insultingly and threateningly asked, "What you gonna do? Pick up your phone and smash my head in with it." At that exact moment, my friend said, "What? That’s it, let’s go." We had to get up and leave immediately because this man had obviously completely lost control.
We expected to leave the store with a beautiful design and a solid plan for our home. Instead, it was an absolute nightmare. While the store manager was very helpful afterward and did his best to calm us down, this man absolutely should lose his job for this behavior. I have already reported his threatening and abusive actions to store management and to the authorities. Wickes corporate must take immediate action .

My consultant, Thanim Malique was very professional and welcoming. He knew exactly what my requirements were and was able to guide me through the process. Thanim was regularly in contact with myself to ensure my delivery instructions were correct and everything was going to plan. 10/10

Craig and Abdi were absolute stars in helping me with my purchases . We should have more staff like this offering this kind of customer service

I bought a few paving slabs which were very heavy, I wanted to carry these in my car due to time shortage.
Shop assistant Craig was exceptionally helpful, he loaded the slabs in trolley then carefully placed these in my car.
His behaviour was polite and very proactively helpful

We were looking for a replacement kitchen on behalf of our son who had had a leak into his property and urgently needed help.
The Wickes service was superb - particularly Thanim Malique who designed the kitchen and Khalid Ali the associated installer - we went from initial designs to a completed fit-out in 8 weeks.
The communication is amazing - texts and emails to confirm delivery arrangements, installer appointment, end of installation dates, customer satisfaction...really impressive.
Khalid's attention to details was really good - he was always available and responsive to any queries / requests. All in all a very good experience.

I purchased a length of tile edging, one to many, I tried to return it and was told that I could not as it was over 30 days since I had purchased it, it was not damaged and still a stock item at the same price, I explained that the reason that I could not return it sooner was that I had had a heart attack.

I have had a trade account with them in the past and spent thousands of pounds but have now retired.

I will not use wickes again.

You have not addressed how you are going to address my consumer rights?

I visited the shop there was this guy called Craig very helpful. Usually we take about half an hour to 1 hour in 10 minutes. We found everything and it was an amazing guy. Thank you Craig again

At Wickes Wimbledon Craig is always helpful with anything you ask, wiling to go out of his way to answer questions and show you products, research what he doesn't know. He used to work in Merton which is closed now; so Wimbledon has really gained an asset to the team

The design consultant at Wimbledon never bothered to call me. Even though I booked a 15 minute appointment online.

On a recent visit to Wickes we were helped by Craig to locate a few different items. He was knowledgeable about the stock, where the items were stored and above all was very friendly.

Craig was extremely helpful finding the products and loading them in the car for me. He was friendly and ready to go the extra mile. Thank you Craig.

We went to Wickes to get advice in planning a new kitchen. The designer, Tahir Younes was very helpful and we went ahead with his plans. Delighted with the outcome, kitchen looks great, fitters were friendly, great workers and cleaned up each day before leaving👌
Since completion our designer has been very helpful sorting out returns we didn’t require which helped us immensely. Would recommend.

Tahir Younis was exceptional throughout my kitchen project. His knowledge of kitchen products is second to none, and his advice was always honest, practical, and incredibly helpful.

I made several visits before finally placing my order, and Tahir remained patient, professional, and attentive every time. He took the time to answer all my questions and never made me feel rushed.

I’m extremely pleased with the service I received and would highly recommend Tahir and his team to anyone looking for expert advice and outstanding customer service.

I had a great trip to Wickes today. A gentleman called Kingsley was extremely helpful and very friendly, but manager Nargis went above and beyond to help me with an unrelated issue regarding a return. Her professionalism, charm and kindness could teach other managers in other companies a thing or two.

Excellent service from design planning to completion .we had a kitchen and bathroom designed by a fabulous designer called Thanim Malique nothing was too much trouble he even took my calls and messages whilst on holiday !
We were thrilled with the quality and style of both the bathroom and kitchen . Would thoroughly recommend wicks .

We bought our new kitchen from Wickes’ Wimbledon branch and were very pleased with the service we received at every step. The designer Thanim Malique understood what we wanted and came up with a design that met our requirements within our budget. We were planning quite a long way in advance of the actual installation, but changes to the specification were happily accommodated – and no hard sell when we opted for slightly less expensive options! Thalim also arranged installation by a top-class company of fitters, whose work we cannot praise too highly and were always ready to listen to and answer our questions and concerns.

Went in for a kitchen design service at wicked Wimbledon and the advisor (Ramsha?) was quite abrupt and condescending at times. At the end of the design I asked for a print out of the design and measurements so that I can go away and check the units all definitely fit and design is correct but also so I can review the design in case I make changes - and I was told they can’t give that to you. I was expected to place the order and pay for it before they give you the design and measurements of units. No time to think about it other than imagine the design in my head and remember everything they had included and sizes! Crazy.
Apparently their new policy which is bonkers. I’m not going to order a new kitchen without having time to review it and double check measurements especially as they didn’t come out to measure. Needless to say I didn’t place the order with wickes and now ordered elsewhere (who worked with me over a couple of weeks to fine tune the design and measurements and make tweaks ). The first design and sizing is never the right one.

Ria Hassan provided an excellent design service, professional with a great deal of expertise. She was also a lovely person to consult with, friendly and communicative.
I would highly recommend this service.

Poor! No one called! And there is no way to send back an email or to call any number as no details are provided in the confirmation sent by a no reply email.

The staff are always very helpful and will offer to pack heavy items like laminate into your car. Craig helped me today and was very professional in packing the laminate into the car for me.
