Brunch at Willow - ask for proper toast!

Had brunch at Willow, Mere Green for 4 people. Restaurant, atmosphere , service, food excellent especially as it was a busy period, but the toast was pathetic, Warm bread or raw toast which isn’t ideal for breakfast with marmalade or poached egg or scrambled egg. No choice offered on bread type either and replacement toast only slightly better.
Just buy a toaster and offer alternative bread for breakfast, as this is an IMPORTANT aspect of the breakfast not an inconvenience!

Went to willow today for a breakfast treat for my sister's birthday,,, was disappointed that there were no gluten free bread / bun options,, the only thing on the menu that was gluten free seemed to be the yoghurt granola bowl,,, I'm surprised there isn't an option for people with this intolerance,

The steak burger has always been a delicious steak burger. This time my wife and I had burgers that had never seen steak. "This is not as good as the angus burgers we had from Lidl!" said my wife. I agreed. Not worth the money any longer.

It's a no for now

Trentham Willow, Stoke-on-Trent. Food was very nice but we had negatives .... prices and a service charge also added as if food and drink wasn't already pricey there. Ok it says on your bill you can ask for the service charge to be taken off but who is going to do that and look mean. Pricing in these restaurants need to be re-evaluated if you're going to add the SC. Also, not nice to share your food with dogs allowed in the restaurant so unfortunately the negatives far outway the positives from us .... sorry.

Dissapointed

Service was excellent but I ordered a rump steak cooked rare, unfortunately, it came well overcooked but also the quality was not good. In fact, it’s probably one of the worst steaks I have had out. They did offer to do another one but when you are out having a meal with friends you do not want to eat your meal after they have finished. Have had steaks there before which were excellent so very disappointed.

my first visit

My first visit to the newly opened Willow in Mere Green didn't disappoint.
Dinner last night with the girls!
Food was delicious and beautifully presented.
We all had the processco battered sea bass
And the limoncello cheesecake.
Special thanks to our waiter Pedro who was friendly and attentive, and the lovely lady Kyla who sorted out the bill at the end.
Would definitely recommend and visit again.

DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT GROUP

Hi, everyone please do not use this restaurant group, my female partner was so uncomfortable by the staff behaviour and rudeness service.
Food was not special, I travelled to Sutton Coldfield specially and I was insulted and disappointed and most of all embarrassing situation.

Had lunch today

Had lunch today, mine was lovely as usual but my friend had a bacon sandwich and it was very dry, almost inedible and she left it. When I told the server she said we should have said earlier...my friend ate her Fries first so hadn't tasted the sandwich when asked if everything OK.
Not very good response from server.

Absolute shambles of place

Absolute shambles of place.

We booked a table for 15 to celebrate a 60th birthday. For this you would expect that we would celebrate this together as a family all on one table. But no!!!! Firstly we had to wait 40 to be seated. Once we were taken to our table only to be put on 2 separate tables that were feet’s apart. Again not ideal for us as this was a 60th birthday celebration. I asked why we were on separate table to be told that they don’t seat that many guests at one table. Which they failed to tell me when booking and paying the deposit. And when i questioned this I was told you should have been told this at the time of booking. Which I wasn’t as if i was I wouldn’t have booked at the time.
Absolutely disgusting and ruined our celebration

Very recently had excellent breakfast and lunch

Very recently had an excellent breakfast with my senior management team, and a wonderful lunch with a friend, at the restaurant in Trentham - great food and service, lovely surroundings, relaxed and rustic. Planning to go again this weekend for my daughter's birthday. Well worth a visit in my book!

An overpriced bad meal at the Willow in Trentham

On Sunday last week (12:30pm 28th July), nine of our family had a Sunday meal to celebrate my granddaughter’s birthday, at the Willow restaurant in Trentham Gardens Stoke-on-Trent.

I was the only one that picked a Sunday menu Beef Sandwich meal that came with roast potatoes, the others had either full Beef or Ham Sunday dinner or a Ham Sandwich meal with roast potatoes. All of the meals were overpriced for what you received, but everyone except myself enjoyed their meal.

When my meal arrived, there were two thick slices of beef withing a bap (not a sandwich as on the menu) and I noticed that both cuts of beef had large chunks of fat (Gristle) hanging out of the bap and when lifting the bap there were another two chunks of fat at the other end of the cuts of beef, all fatty chunks were difficult to cut off. I tasted a small piece what was left of the beef, but both slices were tough and chewy, it is likely that the beef was cheap budget beef or beef that they would not present on a Sunday lunch plate. The beef on the plates of the other family members that had the beef Sunday meals was perfectly lean and thinly cut – makes you wonder that they get rid of the cheap cuts of meat by hiding them in a bap.
