On first impression I assumed if you had a Growatt system the process of inputting technical details was automatic. Not the case, so I decided to continue with Growatt which has an AI mode. The process of cancelling membership is not easy. You can’t cancel from the dashboard accounts section you have to search through marketing web pages to find the link to their address.
Be aware.

Seriously impressed with the support offered by WonderWatt.
Had an issue with my system and they emailed back within an hour, having fixed the issue - on a Saturday afternoon too!

If you want a reliable way for you solar battery to charge automatically when your car is plugged in and your given a cheap energy slot from Octopus, honestly this is the easiest way to do it. Yes you can setup a raspberry pi and set it up to do this but honestly do you want the bother and monitoring of this. I couldn't get it working reliably with my battery. Only thing to bear in mind is whether the energy saved justifies the subscription cost (it does for me)

I have been using Wonder Watt [WW] for well over a year, initially, on Octopus Agile, where the suggested integration between GivEnergy and Octopus is already in place. It isn't!
WW does exactly what it says on the tin - and it just works. Having acquired in October a BEV [battery electric vehicle] and moved to Intelligent Octopus Go, WW really steps up to the podium and STOPS the car emptying my home battery into it when you have those out of normal slots added. It is fantastic.
However, as others have said here, it is not only the product that is good, the support and responsiveness of the developer is something all offerings should aspire too. Even a response to a query on Christmas day!!
To me, the subscription cost is a no brainer as I have now become so complacent in its abilities, I rarely check what is happening in the logs - something other solutions require you to do frequently. Who wants to do that!

WonderWatt makes charging/export via a web portal easy. It allows you to get the best out of a GivEnergy system by creating many more automatic schedules than the manufacturer’s software allows.

It works with the various Octopus smart tariffs such as Agile, to optimise the system for your needs, such as choosing the cheapest slots and smart charging based on forecast solar output.

I’ve been using WonderWatt for some time now and the benefits absolutely outweigh the small cost. Once set up I can leave it to do its thing, knowing I’m getting the best returns from my system.

I installed giv energy batteries but only one charging slot was available for my set up which is not ideal for Octopus Cosy . Wonder Watt has transformed this so that I can charge the battery 3 times a day. As other people have stated the support is excellent. The savings easily pay for the subscription.

I would echo the comments below regarding usability and support. WonderWatt just makes GivEnergy do what it should. Octopus Agile and winter Cosy scheduling could not be easier.

I have solar pv with GivEnergy inverter & batteries as well as EV & zappi charger and ashp.

Choice and maximising time of use tariffs is crucial to getting best efficiency and lowest costs. WonderWatt helps with that.

Previously used Octopus Agile import with Octopus Fixed outgoing. In 2024 I averaged approx 13p imports with 15p exports. Almost impossible to manage without WW or some other controls.

In 2025 I've moved to Octopus Intelligent Go imports with Outgoing (currently 15p). Now importing at average under 8p and exporting at 15p. Aided by filling batteries cheaply at night to maximise daytime exports. Exports this year likely to be double 2024. All made possible with WonderWatt

I've been using WonderWatt for about a year to integrate my GivEnergy inverter and batteries with the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff.
It seamlessly matches house battery and EV charging, so both are always at the cheap rate and there's no cross charging.
The developer is helpful and quick to respond to issues and bugs, together with adding new features to improve the feel and usability of the software.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending WonderWatt to anyone who wants a stress free experience.

Having had both solar PV and a Home Battery installed about 18 months ago I was keen to make the most of my investment. I joined the Octopus Agile tariff and mostly it worked really well for me, but the Givenergy web interface was awkward to deal with, often buggy and I was becoming increasingly frustrated with it.
I became aware of "Wonder Watt " and decided to explore that to see if it would fit the bill. I have been absolutely delighted with it, the web interface is really intuitive and it was just a few minutes work to set everything up to make the most of my setup. I'm really happy with it, it saves me both time and money, and there's a lot more that it offers should I wish to to dig a little deeper all the tools are there, presented in an easy to understand interface.
One final, but very important point: Support. Often undervalued but critical to a users experience, Wonder Watt have been exemplary in both answering queries and squashing the inevitable bugs as they arose. I wouldn't hesitate to give them 10/10 for that.

Have used WonderWatt for over a year controlling a pair of Givenergy batteries using the Octopus Agile tariff. Using it saves me over £300 annually for a few minutes of setup every day. The interface is very intuitive to use. The developer is very responsive. The service is very reliable with very few errors or down-time. Thoroughly recommended.
