High Quality - Worth the Wait!

I have bought several canes from them, all very high quality items. The workmanship is wonderful, solid and worth the weight. Keep in mind, these are custom items, and Christian and Natasha get a ton of other orders, and run the shop by themselves.

Work With Them

You are fortunate to know about Purpleheart Armoury in Texas. Orders often roll through perfect. Quality engraving, excellent products carefully considered with real martial arts knowledge. Be aware, sometimes wood is affected by altitude and temperature changes in shipping and this life, not their error. Purpleheart does a lot of research and represent the martial arts cultures of East & West well. They deal with an amount of difficulty that customers have with these auspicious cultural sources and have come to show some defensiveness. Work With Them and continue to show respect. Have made many orders over many years. Most orders have been spot on. When there have been issues, Purpleheart has always worked through them to a sound place. These people are solid morally; if your order doesn't ship on time, there is a reason. They may not notify, but they also will continue to work forward to make things connect right. Sometimes they show signs of business grind, supply issues or their systems getting tangled. Be patient. This is a source worth maintaining. If they seem a little stubborn or short, build your own virtues rather than complaining and work with them until things come true.

Great Company

I think that Purple Heart Armory is a great company. I have always received top quality products from them. Never once have I been disappointed. Delivery time is reasonable and their customer service is prompt and thorough.

Believe the bad reviews

Believe the bad reviews.

They shipped incorrect items. I was quite rudely told their shipment was correct, and I was wrong.

If they ship you the wrong item, you pay for return shipping, restocking fee, and shipping on the replacement.

It is your word against theirs.

Take a look at the other reviews here about incorrect orders, shipments, and shipping times.

Order processing for weeks, rude

Order processing for weeks, customer service clown rude about it when I followed up a week after initial buy.

Still wondering if they will ever send what I purchased last month.

If you are researching whether or not to order anything form purple heart armory, just don't. Kwon USA better alternative or martial arts mart.com.

Update: Item received. Reeks of chemicals... like deck lacquer. It was shipped, naked, in a box that wasn't taped shut properly.

Great in the start, nightmare ending

Great in the start, nightmare in the end. I ordered full set up for retirement gift, quick response from the staff, very friendly and very helpful. I approved the layout and the order and was excited. After layout approved I got confirmation and it was in production. I was told NO CHANGES could be made after this to the design. I later decided that I wanted to order a black silk bag, they responded and got my approval to add the bag onto the order. In that same email they slid a change inverting all the font which I didn’t want, I got this in the mail and now you can’t read the damn thing! Emailed to have it corrected and nothing but standard run around BS. No we will not correct it, it’s all your fault so on and so on. So now instead of a retirement gift I have a piece of junk that can’t be read. Do your self a favor and stay away, find a different company that might actually respect the wish of paying customers!

Great

These guys are primarily an importer and reseller of European made gear. I recently had a problem with an order placed with them where the manufacturer had messed up some of the custom features. The resolution took some time due to the manufacture dragging its feet but eventually I received my order at a significant discount as well as $50 worth of free gear. The customer service is normally great but when contacting them keep in mind it is a tiny business. I’ve only ever interacted with two people in all my years of business with them. I’m pretty sure the total staff is less than 10 people.

Great products, NOT so great customer interaction, short and curt and aggressive

I Recommend with Caution.

A: They do make great product.
B: They do what they can within their capability
C: They generally have good turn around time

below is definitely my impression.

Their customer interaction is NOT at all Stellar as some reviewers make them out to be.

ESPECIALLY when you are single order customer, and NOT a big order school/organization.. even if that single order customer has done multiple business with them.

PH is run by human, and there are human errors and conditions that put them in a bad mood.

when they are in bad mood, the communication becomes very short and aggressive.

Be AWARE that it does happen. and if you are OK with it, your purchase experience will be wonderful

if you are not ok with it, then at lease you are forewarned that they are NOT the best at the customer interaction, specially if they are in a crunch, and if you are small order individual and not the high volume buyer.

I would say how each customer judge that side of PH as a business is totally up to the individuals.

here's my experience so far, as this is on-going story, how it ends up is totally up to PH at this point.

was told on 12/26/19 that production will happen in 4 weeks

Quote: "Um, thats a custom cut piece I will fit into my machine schedule. Its likely to be another 4 weeks."

on 1/27, 33 days or 4weeks and 5 days later (since 12/26/19), and after 3 emails, was told will go to production on the weekend (02/01 sat and 02/02 sun)

Quote:"They have just not made my cutting rotation yet. I'm expecting late this week as we get some stock layed out."

on 02/03 email, no response

on 02/04 email response, was told

Quote: "not done yet. may be next week"

on 02/04 phone conversation specified it will be made available next week (week of 02/09 through 02/15).

Quote: "I'm sorry you had to be on the short end of the stick"

on 02/10 email to ask for status update.

no response.

on 02/11 email to ask for another update information. sending all the above as back ground information.

received ONLY the following reply:

Quote:"i'll happly cancel the order."

no other communication. very short and curt.

upon calling them (immediately after the curt reply I got in my email), again, the first words out of the PH was " I'd be glad to cancel the order". no explanation. nothing.

keep in mind, up to this point, all I did was ask the status of the order.

my typical email to PH is

"can you please let me know what the status of the order is? Thank you for your time."

which I don't believe should warrant the kind of short, curt reply from PH.

upon further communication, and after PH had time to VENT their frustration against me over the phone, I finally found out that their machine broke down few days ago.

WHY THEY COULDN'T JUST LET ME KNOW THAT WHEN I EMAILED ON 02/10 is beyond me. instead, they igonored my email, and when they received my second email almost 24 hours later, to come back with

Quote:"i'll happly cancel the order."

without any explanation.

I am not canceling order, as I waited this long. and I do understand and can have loads of sympathies for the trouble(s) PH may be going through.

I've been very patient and I'd be happy to wait as PH does make good product. as I am returning, and repeat customer.

with that said, I hope PH become aware that HOW they interact with their small time customer does leave different and LASTING impressions, and often times, it is dependent on small detail like common courtesy, or lack there of.
