Complete scam

Complete scam. My wife fell for it and gave them her bank details. A year has passed before realising that they've been skimming £39 each month.
Fortunately, the bank refunded the money.
Someone mentioned that if enough of us report them, they won't be able to set up direct debits. However, they setup direct debits through the 3rd party company PaySuite (formerly EazyCollect), so I don't think they'd be hurt.

Stay away from them

This people are complete scam, first they didn’t tell me that a money will be deducted, then after calling me, they told me that I have to wait 30 days to cancel my membership for my money to be refunded. I called after 30 days again, they still told me that I had to still wait for another 30days unless, all the money deducted (that month and before) will not be paid in full.
The next month, I called again and told them enough is enough, that my money should be refunded, they then told me that there is no money to be refunded that, their automatic Lotto service made a win for me which is just 23 pence and that I will not be able to send it to my bank.
This is really painful cause, I didn’t know before that it was a lotto service before I signed up for the membership.I also requested for the money first deducted (which is £39) cause that was not the service I signed up for but, they denied it telling me that my bank made a refund for that.
They are complete scammers, please don’t fall into their trap.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Complete Scam Artists

My wife was phoned to be told she’d been entered into a lottery and could she provide her account details in case she won. She specifically clarified that no money would be taken out and was assured this was the case. A couple of weeks later I noticed a direct debit of £39 had been taken out of our account

I phoned the bank to claim under Direct Debit Indemnity Guarantee as they had no authority to charge the account, also reported them to the bank’s fraud department as they are abusing the Direct Debit scheme.

Hopefully if enough report them they will lose the ability to set up direct debits

I fell into signing up and following my first payment I got made redundant and decided to contact World Lottos to cancel. I was assured I couldn't lose even though I asked several times to cancel. Can't believe I fell for it and I was under the impression that the special offer I had was to get all my money back at the end if I hadn't made more than I had paid out. Since then I have contacted them three times to demand a refund but it has been dismissed. I would like to know where I can complain officially about my experience with them.

Do not want your bank details until they do. Hang up or waste a few minutes of your time winding them up

Just had a call. Knew straight away that it was dodgy but they had a lot of my details so I must have stupidly supplied them to some website in the past. All going well on the call. Her name was Adele and she was absolutely not going to take any bank details from me. I’ve won a coke fridge apparently so well chuffed. She started on about free draws into the lottery and still didn’t want any bank detail’s whatsoever. Thought the call was about to finish and I was asked if I won lots of money what bank did I want that depositing to. I reminded Adele that she had said absolutely no way was she going to ask for any bank details and then asked when my fridge would arrive. I hadn’t completed the application because I didn’t supply any bank details that they absolutely definitely and most sincerely stated they didn’t need. Ah well. Wastes a few minutes when you get these scammers on the phone.

Avoid

Called stating I'd won a competition for Rituals Products worth £200 - nothing more about that in the call, as the 'salesperson' only wanted me to subscribe to a lottery syndicate for £39 a month. While on the call I checked with companies houseto see if they were listed as he described them as an offshore company started on Britain - First World Lottos Online are NOT listed on companies house and have NEVER been listed as a UK company.

Also called First World Lottos Online - various variations for that name take you to the same website that has no real details about the company on it. NO COMPANY NUMBER.

MAKE SURE YOU INSIST ON YOUR DETAILS BEING REMOVED UNDER GDPR LEGISLATION, AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY BANKING DETAILS

SCAM SCAM SCAM

SCAM SCAM SCAM! i dont usually fall for these, but she had my personal info from somewhere. Just got off the phone with my bank. Because i ("agreed" to/ bullied into) a future direct debit, apparently they can LEGALLY set one up using only your sort and account number. the only reason i did, was because i thought they couldnt take monies without the other numbers (ie, the long 14 digit and the 3 digit at back of card)....HANG UP on the fraudsters!

Shysters

Apparently, I had entered a Tesco Clubcard competition to win Euromillions tickets. Worrying that they had my full name, street address (but not number) in addition to my mobile number. They then 'confirmed' my e-mail address which was nothing like mine. When I refused to give the correct address I was told that I must remember I had entered the WAITROSE (not Tesco) comp and I could win a lot of money. This confirmed my suspicions that they were shysters, so I suggested where they could go and what to do when they got there!

*****WARNING SCAM ****"

*****WARNING SCAM ****"I entered a competition to win an ebike from lidl.
I've just received a call from this number 0245791579.
An Indian guy tried to scam me into parting with £39 a month, I asked about the competition for the ebike and he assured me that I was in the draw, but very quickly changed the subject back to lottery numbers.
I told him that forty quid a month was a lot of money to part with, and asked him if he gambled the same amount every month..... To which he replied that he didn't. My response was don't expect me to if you wouldn't.
The usual ploy of trying to get my bank account details ensued.... Unsuccessfully as I was beyond suspicious by now.
He knew that he was getting nowhere and seemed deflated and the cheeky chappie banter stopped.
I asked him to remove any personal details from his system and that I'd be contacting lidl and my bank and forwarding their phone number to see if this company was legit (obviously not)
I thought that I was entering a competition, I'll be very careful and do some background checks before I do this again.
