£2000 carpet totally ruined

£2000 carpet totally ruined. After a spot test of vax spot wash had lightened a carpet, I rang world of clean to ask what their best cleaner was that would not react in this way and bought their recommendation. After using it on a spillage, I was horrified to witness a huge patch of carpet turn ‘pink’. A carpet firm came out and told me that OF COURSE this alkaline cleaner would do this. After ringing the company, the only advice I got was that it was my fault for washing the carpet incorrectly, or I didn’t read the instructions or the carpet had a manufacturing fault as they had sold hundreds and thousands of these all over the world. No apology, they won’t even refund the actual cleaner. I’ve never dealt with such a narcissist company - ever. I’ll be pursuing the small claim court.

Awful service!

Quite simply appalled by terrible customer service offered by World of Clean. Purchased a velvet boffin brush specifically for use on a very expensive velvet sofa. On receipt we tested an an area 18 inch square for 30 seconds and were concerned the metal strip in the brush was too harsh for the natural fibre expensive velvet pile. Having then called World of Clean to explain and ask where to return for a refund, we were told rather forcefully they could not accept 'as it had been used' ! Yes, for 30 seconds but remained entirely as new and would be retuned exactly as received. When I enquired whether the yong lady was familiar with the distance selling regulations (statutory rights) I was rather abruptly told she had been working there for 5 years and was very familiar. Bizarrely, she still refused to accept a return however. I then asked for their MD by name and was told he would ring me back in the afternonn. That was 3 weeks ago and still no call back has been received. This is a shocking example of how to upset customers and ensure they never purchase from this Company ever again. Beware..!

I’ve recently attended a carpet…

I’ve recently attended a carpet cleaning course with world of clean and all was going fine until I couldn’t buy any products on the last day of my course as I recently lost my job. So I told one of the trainers in private (Jacob) that I can’t afford anything today so he was like Yeh that’s fine then we all back into the room and in front of all the class he asked me why am I asking the prices because I can’t afford them as I’ve lost my job, I’ve never felt so embarrassed and belittled in all my life safe to say I won’t be using them ever again. All happy until you don’t buy anything. The course wall a good course until that point how someone can make you feel so small and belittled is beyond me what a rude and disrespectful person.
