Had planned 2 days lovely break down at Glenelg. Normally there would have been no way that we would have cancelled, so booked a non-refundable room. Now due to the Coronavirus we feel it is better if we stay home rather than travel 3 hours to Adelaide. Surely a Pandemic is a justifiable reason to get a refund or at least be able to change the date of the booking!!!!

I have my a booking with Wotif

I have my a booking with Wotif. The day prior to the reservation, i had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. I have written immediately to advise Wotif. This happened more then 3 weeks ago. Since then i have emailed 3 times and i have never heard anything from them. This is frustrating and bad customer service. As a result, i will not be using Wotif again as i have lost trust in them. Be careful if you book with them!

Beware of 'Guest booking'

My husband was looking for accommodation, cheapest was WOTIF, he went through to find the price and had to give credit card details to find more info. He didn't realize that he had actually confirmed the booking. We received no emails or notifications confirming the booking and only realised after our the date had passed, our credit card had been charged and we THEN received an email asking why we didn't turn up. When I queried the operator he told me it was because we hadn't created an account and the transaction went through as a 'guest booking'. So you don't receive a confirmation email. As no money went through their hands they couldn't refund and the hotel wouldn't either as it was seen as a genuine booking (totally understand their position). Left a very sour taste, won't be using WOTIF or subsidiaries again. Book direct with the hotel. Don't give them their %15. Hotels don't like them either.

i SHOULD HAVE SEEN THESE REVIEWS BEFORE…

i SHOULD HAVE SEEN THESE REVIEWS BEFORE USING THEM.

They make a booking and dont tell you, you cant get in touch with them, only by email which they dont answer. How can they stay in business with this attitude, their customer service doesnt exist. There is no point with these reviews, they just dont care and they are not accountable to anybody.

Do not use Wotif

Do not use Wotif. Use Expedia or go straight to the hotel. We booked a hotel in Rome and they said that 2 hours after we got a confirmation text from Wotif that our booking was cancelled. We checked every text and every email and they didn’t let us know that it was cancelled. Luckily for us the hotel were understanding and arranged a room for us but if they weren’t, we could easily have been stranded in Italy with nowhere to go.

TLDR: don’t use Wotif!

Corrupt company - They never refund your money.

A corrupt company with poor communication. I cancelled a hotel booking and I got confirmation about the refund. It's now more than 10 days I am not able to see the refund coming to my account.

I have been trying to reach them but this is taking forever to connect the right person.

Never make any purchase with them. Your money is deducted in less than 10 seconds from your account and if you want to cancel and expect the refund, this will take forever to get the money back.

Double charged and total rip off

I booked a room in Melbourne for myself and my girlfriend on a trip in 2011. Several days before we left, I called to confirm the room. (Perhaps unecessary, but I like to have things in order.)

When I called Wotif to confirm, the operator at Wotif said that "there is no booking showing at all" which I found difficult to believe as I had booked it only the week before. I told him the booking number; they said they had cancelled it. So, at their suggestion, I booked another room at another hotel (which was misrepresented as much better than its actuality).

Bottom line, they screwed up and after the trip, billed me for the original booking that they said had been cancelled! And then refused to refund me! They charged for both rooms and lied to me! I said to them, "You say that you record every phone conversation, find the conversation from the other day and play it back. Here's a chance for you to do some of that 'quality assurance' you talk about." They refused to refund my money for misleading me and double charging.

Worst experience ever; I swore to never use them ever again or any company they own. NEVER USE WOTIF.

DO NOT USE WOTIF!!!

DO NOT USE WOTIF!!!
Got to our accommodation and the hostel had no record of our booking. We booked a double room and Wotif had sent a confirmation email AND taken our money!! Tried to get in touch with them which was next to impossible as we were in another country and we're going to be charged extortionate amounts to call them. Luckily the hostel staff were amazing! They told us not to worry, they would contact Wotif to find out what happened. They gave us a four bed dorm, to ourselves, as the double we booked was not available. Thank you Dorm Point Hostel for being so helpful.

DO NOT USE WOTIF!!!

DO NOT USE WOTIF!!! IT IS A SCAM FOR FAKE BOOKINGS!!

I booked a twin room with 2 single beds through Wotif. After I had paid they changed the booking to a 1 queen bed room.

They refuse to refund my money for the room I did not book.

Pictures of the room show 2 single beds not 1 queen bed.

I tried to contact the hotel for 6 weeks with no reply to confirm the room will be a twin room.

I asked Wotif to cancel my booking and refund my money because it is not the room I booked. They said NO

They gave me contact details for the booking agent to ask them for the refund.

The email address was "hotelgoonline at gmail.com"

I sent and received a message from the manager at Hotel Go Online saying "I will not get a refund as it is against company policy" I didn't even mention my name but they knew who I was and I would be asking for a refund?

I asked for the website of Hotel Go Online so I could check the cancelation policy.

There is no Hotel Go Online, and I was told by them they do not need a website to do their bookings.

So Wotif have sent me to some fake untraceable Gmail account to some fake company that does not exist. To try and get a refund of some fake company I did not book through. I booked through Wotif

These are the people taking your money and not giving refunds.

I will be reporting Wotif for this scam practice.

Stay away from Wotif

I booked a cab through Wotif from airport to my Double tree Hilton in Penang. Wotif charged me about $40 and convincing me that it was a good deal. When I booked myself from hotel to airport I realised that it costs less than $15.

The Price Match Guarantee is Worthless

I recently booked a hotel stay using Wotif. I didn’t look at other sites as I was confident in the fact that Wotif has a Price Match Guarantee. Upon calling the hotel to confirm my reservation, I found the price offered by booking directly with the hotel to be significantly cheaper than the price offered by Wotif. Not only was the hotel direct booking price significantly cheaper, it also included breakfast while the Wotif price cost more money and didn’t include breakfast.
In good faith, I followed the Price Match Guarantee process expecting to get $173 refunded. However, Wotif have accused me of providing screen shots in a currency other than Australian dollars. At the time of the issue was raised. Wotif staff were able to check the price difference themselves by looking at the hotel website. However, they didn’t do this. They are either too lazy to investigate the price difference or more likely, they are not interested in honouring the price match guarantee.
Unfortunately, as I write this review, the hotel room I booked is no longer available therefore, the search for a cheaper price cannot be replicated. However, for entertainment, I looked same hotel room, on the same nights, one week prior to my booking and guess what? - Wotif is $84 more expensive than booking directly with the hotel website. Then I looked the same hotel room one week and two weeks after my booking and Wotif is still more expensive.
In my view, overcharge for the hotel room then refusing to honour the “Price Match Guarantee” is the Wotif business model. Disgraceful.

"Airport City Transfer" from London…

"Airport City Transfer" from London Gatwick booked through Wotif paid $109.06 to pick us on flight from Australia.
It took 90minutes to get off the plane to get through Immigration and baggage collection .
As soon as we landed in UK I rang the phone number given by Wotif for Airport City Transfers.
We were given the wrong phone number by Wotif.
WE missed the 90 minute deadline to be picked up and we were left stranded at Gatwick
We lost our $109.06 but they said they would pick us up for a futher £65.
Also:-2 days after we booked and paid Woif $1554 for accommodation, they held a further $105 which Wotif kept dennying they had and blamed the hotel for taking the money.
We eventually got most of the $105 back after many emails and calls.
Much harder to contact a hotel through Woif.
Not happy with Wotif.
Bookings .com much more reliable, I will stick to bookings .com.in future

DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE< they are…

DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE< they are animals void of any decency. The r-mails below have reference. This was after many other e-mails and phone calls, THEY ARE RUTHLESS CROOKS.
We booked a room in Brisbane. My wife arrived at the place only to find there is no such booking. I contacted the place and with me on the one end, my wife on the other, the place on another and your representative toing and froing between the lot managed to "relocate" my wife - and three young children - to another room. We were happy with that, but on arrival my wife found the place to be dirty, uncleaned and with a blocked drain, a full washing basin, a overflowing dishwasher, photo's of which were provided by e-mail to your"team". My wife left the next morning with a blessing that a full refund will be done. She had commitments to which she had to get and as I understand it was required to return the keys to a shop before 10pm. After numerous e-mails, countless tel calls and hours spending getting "evidence" etc still zero has been done to rectify this.
My question to you is, what is this all about. It's bullying tactics. Your representative refuses to do any refund till such time he spoke with the hotel. Why wasn't this done. He says it's a Non Refundable booking. What is this all about? It has nothing to do with cancellation. We spend hours and precious time with you on the line. This is a clear cut failure of delivery. Please advise. My number is xxxxxxxxxx

I am very sorry for the trouble and the hassle this matter has caused you. This isn't the level of service we wish to provide to our customers at all. I am here to assist you and would like to look into the matter for you immediately. Please kindly assist me with your itinerary number and email address so that I am able to investigate the matter. Thanks.
i can add that the staff designated to manage this are arrogant and untrained to manage complaints
I am very sorry to hear that and apologise for the hassle caused. I am looking into the matter and will reach out to you soon. Thanks.

Travellers, don't use these guys. They are a subsidiary of Expedia, they are vile, they are without any decency.

Terrible Service

First time using wotif, booked 2 nights at Port Macquarie. I received 2 emails, first was the booking confirmation, and the 2nd was the itinerary with bold letters that I do not need to call to reconfirm the booking. 3 days later, another 2 emails that my booking was cancelled. Terrible.
