Poor service , information isn’t always accurate on their website
Booked recently a business class ticket on Philippines airlines.
Full of promises and lies, lounge access in Manila
Ended staying in chair for 20 hours.
The lunge chairs are as bad as any chairs outside.
People were stuck on chairs with this terrible airline that delivers lies through Wotif .
Beware free cancelation
Beware free cancelation. I will never use wotif again. Use the site to check vacancies then contact the property.
Hotel 140 km from where they said.
The booking was made. I found out myself that the hotel was not located within a reasoanble distance of the airport of arrival. I phoned the hotel to check their position, they stated 140 km away. so I cancelled my booking. They could not find an alternative hotel.
Wotif have refused any repayment, and the matter continues.
Cheap deals and good customer service
We had to make changes to our booking and Wotif were actually quite helpful.
And Wotif had the cheapest deals (we did seven nights in fiji which included flights and accommodation), so we had a really good experience with them
NOT AS CRAPPY AS YOU'D THINK
Although most of the ratings are crap, I genuinely had a wonderful experience with Wotif. They were able to replace a hotel that I had booked for a weekend away in the blue mountains with a spa king room option double the price (with breakfast) at no extra cost to me. They did this because the hotel that advertised on wotif was not operating that weekend. The customer service personell who was looking after me also gave me the courtesy of giving me a call back with 3 options of hotels from me to choose from to save losing time on back and forth convos - very efficient.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service, assistance or support. You can not speak to a person, everything is automated. Whilst looking at properties to book for a holiday overseas, I started a booking but never confirmed, Wotifs automatically completed this booking. Add that the email address used was not mine or is even valid. They obviously don't check undeliverable returned emails. So I never received notification that I had a confirmation or itinerary for a booking not made. Automation is not so great. Spent hours trying to locate and cancel this ghost booking - I've now lost over $1000AU as accommodation provider refuses a refund as they were not notified by Expedia of the cancellation.
Truly frustrating - 3 days on still no resolution - Wotifs advice - contact accommodation - not our problem - sorry for inconvenience - anything else we can help you with? Umm yes, the F@#$&?! problem I'm trying to resolve but you can't because automated robots can't help
Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless
They have invalid phone and email addresses.
Do not trust this company!
Booking cancelled, no refund!
Booked a trip via Wotif/Stayz (expedia group) last year. Got cancelled due to lockdowns. Tried to reschedule, but no response from Hotel. Now they have closed and run off with our money. Wotif/Stayz/Vrbo are taking no action. All I asked for is a refund, but apparently if Wotif/Stayz/Vrbo have paid a crooked business, then they won't refund you and won't help. They don't even know who the owner is to contact. Means you can setup a fake hotel, receive money from Wotif/Stayz/Vrbo and they won't even care about their customers. Don't don't trust them.
Liars and thieves
Lying, thieving a-holes is all I can say. We booked with no problem. We also cancelled with no problem, being promised we could use our flight credit by 31 July to fly again within 12 months. Great, I thought! Tried for over 2 hours to rebook flights using that credit on the online chat. Every time the agent went to look at the flights I had found, the chat conveniently got disconnected three times. I got further with the third agent only for him to tell me that every flight I proposed was unavailable. How convenient! Couldn’t book anything in April, nothing in March. Tried to book a flight leaving in a few weeks. Again absolutely no availability. So we have lost $5,500. I told the agent he was lying to me and that Wotif has stolen my money. How the hell can these criminals keep operating??
Please, whatever you do, do not use Wotif. Book through Satan himself if you have to - you’ll get a better level of treatment and service.
Don't ever try to change a booking.
Don't ever try to change a flight - hours on hold, wrong change made, 3 weeks to have it investigated and still isn't corrected. Flight prices have risen considerably and now I have to pay over $1400 for their error.
I used to use Wotif with great service and consistently good prices. In the last year I have had 5 trips that have had challenges. The most recent experience I had to change a flight - I could not do this online myself so I had to use the online chat service then I had to call. In the end, they changed my flight to the wrong flight. When I logged into the airline carrier to check in I noticed the error and contacted Wotif. By this time, flight prices for the correct flight had gone up by over $1500.
Wotif said they would have to investigate to see where the error occurred and would respond in 72 hours - which after 10 days I'm still waiting for their reply. It's been almost 2 weeks and I've spent over 6 hours on their chat and on phone / hold trying to get this resolved and still nothing.
This service has gone downhill significantly since they were acquired and contact centres moved offshore. When I contact Wotif to address this issue, I'm told that it's been fixed on their system (even when the flight carrier system isn't changed) so there is nothing Wotif can do.
I can't seem to get a resolution. No one on their end will address this. I'm livid and out of pocket a significant amount of cash due to their error.
Disappointing service all around. Book direct with the airlines and hotels. You'll get better service elsewhere and the $5 you save per booking via Wotif certainly isn't worth the hassle.
Don't book with Wotif
Don't book with Wotif. Worst customer service I have ever received! Non of their phone numbers work (they literally hang up on you). All of their emails bounce back and the people on the chat function just keep telling you that they have escalated your issue and never actually contact you. Customer beware! Use any of the other travel websites and save yourself the trouble.
Use booking.com or something else, just not wotif
Just found the below in another persons review. I had the same experience and then when I tried to contact them to change or get a refund, no response from any of their email addresses or from their phone number…
“I got to my motel after a long drive, found out that i had no booking. Looked at the confirmation and had found that i had booked months ahead. Something sounded fishy. I then went back on the website did the same booking for the next week and double checked everything and when i pressed to go to the next stage of payment i found that the website had changed my dates. I then spoke with the owners of the motel and they told me that they had 3 other groups in the past 24hrs that all had done the same thing and all of them had found Wotif are booking you in under the dates you want and take your money but then change the dates on the confirmation. Very bad company”

Refusing to honour flight credits
I contacted Wotif a few weeks ago to try and use some Virgin flight credits
They started by telling me my credits were no longer valid which was not true, an hour and a half wasted on the phone.
Called Virgin who said my credits are valid but can't help me deal with Wotif..
This morning I spent 2 hours on the phone with a young Indian woman called Rupal whom I thought sounded genuine but I was wondering why it was taking her so long to book me 2 flights from Sydney to Melbourne!!
In the end, Wotif wanted $2400 for my 2 flights to Melbourne and said I would have to forfeit the balance of my credits ie the cost would in effect be $3500!!
Understandably, I was furious and after 2 hours was told she could not do more for me!!
I then contacted Wotif on Facebook
They told me they had to check my credits with Virgin again and kept stalling and talking about airlines policy. It became obvious that they were having me on and were not even trying to help.
They are the ones we paid money to so they should be either giving us our money back or rebooking us on Virgin flights of similar value but not only do they refuse to do anything at all, they lie, lead you on and waste our time.
We need to fight back!
They cannot be allowed to rip off thousands of Australians
PS
I have since contacted Virgin Australia through Facebook PM and they agreed to help me but wanted something in writing showing Wotif's inaction. Luckily I had my Facebook PM conversation with Wotif and was able to show them that.
So you need to get Wotif to give you the runaround through PM first to get any help!!
My problem is now sorted
Good luck to everyone
I’ll never use wotif again
I’ll never use wotif again

Will never use Wotif again booked a…
Will never use Wotif again booked a motel room $180 for one night got to the motel no reception and no way to check in call the owners of the motel phone was disconnected call Wotif they couldn’t reach them either so we had to drive another 60 km and pay another $145 to stay somewhere else and still trying to get a refund Wotif took the money from our bank but are now saying the owners have to refund it and we’re left out of pocket
Absolute disgrace..
Absolute disgrace... Spent five hours trying to use flight credits... They would not accept my old itinerary number as asked for by their bot saying it should have 15 numbers not 13...their contact numbers are mostly disconnected ...then to really annoy me they said through their bot that their fees for me using my credit of $800 would be $225....keep right away from these people... They are quick to take your money but really bad at helping you in any way at all...
My husband and l were so disappointed…
My husband and l were so disappointed with our stay, we had to ask staff to clean our room, there was no supply of toilet paper, on asking to have room service it was once only over 5 days,,, the villa is tired and run down ,the staff were pleasant but lacking in expertise, l would nor recommend staying at this accommodation, So Disappointed, would not Ever rebook.

Ive been trying to get a refund out of Wotif since February!! They don't reply to emails And the virtual help just sends you round in circles. I will keep trying to get my money back, but I will never use Wotif or Expedia (owns wotif) again.
