Dr.’s office made unneeded appointment with the wrong doctor waisting my time and then billed me for it.

Dr Freeman at West TN Bone and Joint Clinic in Jackson TN gave me a steroid injection in my hand 12/20/23. Was not told how painful it would be for days thereafter. While there I asked to be referred to a specialist for my back. When I checked out I said I needed to make the appointment for my back. I arrived for that appointment at 8:30 am on 1/10/24 and the same Dr. came into the room who injected my hand (Freeman). I said I’m supposed to be seeing someone else. Another Dr came in (Dolan) and again questioned me about my hand. I said I’m here about my BACK! My hand was fine. Dr Freeman came back into the room and I said you were supposed to refer me to someone about my back. He said oh yes now I understand your comments. Looks like the front desk misinterpreted my notes. A representative came into the room apologizing and said no one was available to see me for my back that day so I was inconvenienced for NOTHING. I had no clue they were actually going to bill me for their mishap. When I contacted them in protest I was told that Dr Freeman had wanted me to be followed up by Dr Dolan. He never told me that and I didn’t need a follow up. Had I know I would have canceled but I thought I was seeing someone about my back which I made clear. The whole thing is ridiculous and I’m not paying the $85 they’re billing me for for waisting my time and further inconveniencing me to deal with. Gave them the opportunity to correct the situation or cancel my upcoming appointment for my back. Was given the run around so appointment canceled. Will not return there. Do not recommend!
