We stayed at Gillygate for 2 nights. The only thing going for this place is location. The apartment wasnt clean, showers were mouldy, the bed was broken, the sofabed was so uncomfortable it couldn't be slept on. There was a fire extinguisher propping open a door and the kitchen cupboard didn't open properly as it banged into the smoke alarm. The freezer was full of ice so couldn't be used if we wanted to and the noise coming from upstairs was constant, running around and sounded like furniture being dragged into the early hours. After reporting to York Boutique lets they responded with apologies but if they had known they could've sent the cleaner round to rectify the issues.....the issues needed more than a cleaner. Upon reading more reviews it seems I am not the only customer with these issues and have dated back to 2022. They just take your money, spin you a line and onto the next. There is no way in hell the owner of this property cares or is hands on (what I was told). AVOID

We had a lovely stay in George Street York. The apartment was clean, well equipped and a perfect location. The parking permit was a huge help, we did have to park in the small car park nearby when we first arrived but even this was considerably cheaper than any other in York! The location is so convenient, it was a 5 minute walk to the shambles and even closer to fabulous Spark with all its lovely food. We stayed as a family of 3 and it was perfect for us, the snooker table a fabulous added bonus!

Easy to find, close to centre and nice decor. Great to have a starter pack. A bit unclear about parking with mixed messages in guest book and online. Parking nearby.

This was our second stay in this lovely property. Spotlessly clean, bright and airy, and the ideal location for museums, independent restaurants, cafes, pubs and the Minster. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Falkland Street City Centre York. It was an amazing accommodation with everything you need. Ideally located by the walls of York on the Clifford’s Tower side. It had a brilliant lounge through to kitchen and dinning room. We were celebrating my 60th Birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better place with space for our car outside the door and a little patio area off the ground floor. It was also brilliant for our Westie dog as she could pop out as needed.
We wandered around the city easily with our dog, stopping at York Brewery.
Very popular place so book early

As a family of 6 we stayed at the York Boutique House, great place, spacious, walking distance from the town centre, very quiet area, free parking space. However we were missing cutleries and plates. A spare towel would have been also appreciated. One of the pans does not work on the induction hob.

I just wanted to thank Yorkboutiquelets for helping me with an enquiry recently. Claire in particular was fab- we did not book on this occasion but excellent company, really responsive and we would happily use in the future!

Lovely stay and very central. Car park a short walk away but we dropped our stuff off first. Really clean and smelt nice (some places smell a bit fusty). The only downside is to be careful about showering all at once as the water ran out, but once we knew we just staggered our showers. Someone had broken the en-suite loo seat and it was fixed as soon as possible and we were informed before we arrived of the issue. Happy break from regular York visitors. Would more than happily stop here again.

We stayed at Priestley House York and had a fabulous stay.
York boutique lets provided excellent instructions on how to access property and lots of information with regards to facilities and where to find help if required.
Lovely house ideally situated for a great stay in York.
Clean and tidy with period features and quirky little touches in the furnishings. Clean fresh linen and towels and fab comfy beds.

This was a beautiful suite with all you could ask for. Luxurious and comfortable.

We booked George Street Boutique Apartment in York and found the apartment to be clean and comfortable with everything that you would want for a weekend stay, the kitchen was fully equipped to cater for all our needs.
Being situated about 10 min walk from the city centre and with a parking space / car park close by was ideal for us.
We would definitely book the apartment again.

We have booked with York Boutique Lets before so had no worries about booking with them again. We were not disappointed! We booked Compton Lodge and found the apartment to be clean and comfortable with everything that you would want for a family stay. Being situated about 15 min walk from the city centre and with a parking space was ideal for us.
We have always found York Boutique Lets friendly and professional to deal with and they are always the first place we look to book our stays in York.

I’m actually really unhappy with my experience! I booked through booking.com which at first I didn’t have an issue with we booked quite late so didn’t have too many options left for our stay so chose a property through this compan which was close to the concert location! We had our stay the apartment for the price wasn’t worth it there was mould in the bedroom windows. There was left over toothpaste and scum in the tooth brush cup! There was cobwebs all over the shades. The light in the bathroom mirror didn’t work! And the tv controls didn’t work! We left the apartment probably cleaner than when we arrived but since I have come back I’ve found the price I paid is almost tripled fr the website price! I paid £182 for a single night yet it’s up for let at £65 a night on the website! I find this a disgusting mark up for tourists looking for somewhere to stay to enjoy time away!

we arrive at the apartment on Friday and from that point things just got better and better check in was hassle free the apartment was better than we expected clean tidy we went for a show at the barbican which was a 4 minute walk the town centre was a lovely stroll only a15 minute walk city wall river was in easy reach when we return to york we would stay there again all in all great experience and the hosts of apartment were superb

company was okay to deal with however the accommodation was somewhat of a disappointment given their description.
The biggest letdowns were the mattress which felt older then me and was not only uncomfortable but creaked and groaned with every movement, the upshot of which was we hardly had a decent night's sleep for the duration of our stay, this needs addressing immediately , the only other minor grievance is the fact the property is located directly above an Italian restaurant which means you wake every morning to the strong smell of garlic due to food preparation below, unfortunately there is no way of getting around this unless the restaurant could be persuaded into altering their extraction equipment to exit elsewhere.
The location is excellent for access to York as a 10 minute walk will take you into the City to all the bars, shops and restaurants.
There are bars and restaurants aplenty within 2 minutes of the property with cafe's outnumbering everything which is satisfying and welcoming.

Ideally Located to all city attractions, in a quiet area.
The apartment was clean and functional although very limited storage forclothes especially if you were staying more than 1 or 2 days. Having access to a washing machine was great.
Only negative was the cutlery and cooking utensils were dirty (presumably left that way by the previous guests) which we had to do a thorough wash before using.

Just returned home from a lovely stay at Fossgate apartment in York. Amazing location so near the Minster and the Shambles,lots of lovely restaurants near by.The apartment itself was immaculate and comfortable, secure parking was such a bonus..highly recommended and will definitely love to go back to stay again

We stayed at the Fossgate luxury apartments in York. Absolutely loved the location, within walking distance to all the main areas and Minster. The duplex apartment was spacious and had everything you needed. The only issues we had were with the heating and water. Boiler had to be restarted as there was no hot water, then the heating wouldn’t switch off so it made the temperature inside the flat unbearable, especially at night. Despite speaking to the management company the owner refused us access to the nest control which he operated remotely. We had to turn all the radiators we could off manually and sit with the front door open whilst inside to try to cool the rooms. The windows at the front can’t be opened. The cleaning also wasn’t up to the highest standard. Two random socks were found at the rear of the sofa , the cleaner had been in that morning so it was obvious they hadn’t cleaned the flat properly. Nice flat but need to address these issues and the review would have been a 4/5.

Second time staying at The Presidential Suite at Bootham. Luxury accommodation. Everything perfect. Great company to deal with. Great location and would have no hesitation in recommending
