🏍️ HAPPY CUSTOMER 🏍️

Had some bike experience, done 3.5 DAS with John and learned so much.
He is thorough and dosent miss a trick,so you are getting the best tuition possible, which made me fully switched on.
Passed mod 1 and mod 2 with zero minor faults, and this was down to John covering all aspects.
Steve at the test center done both parts to my test,so refreshing getting someone who again also wants you to pass, very approachable, reassuring and is absolutely first class at his job.
Overall 10/10 experience, would highly recommend, thanks for all you're help.

Friendly Independent family run…

Friendly Independent family run training school - highly recommend !

I completed my CBT here in 2010 and then returned two years later to complete my A2 restricted licence where I passed first time with John - who is brilliant. Many of my family and friends had recommended this school as they had done their training here which is why I had originally booked to go here. As a female I found some other training schools/bike shops in Edinburgh weren't so friendly and I can say I found the complete opposite here at City School.

Really down to earth team & I couldn't recommend them enough !!
Thanks so much for all your help !

Poor Training Centre

In my opinion I found this a rough and scruffy test centre consisting of portacabins and garden sheds. If you have the misfortune to sit in the wooden garden shed in the mid of winter you'll know what I mean.

When I did my training the tarmac surface of the training area was poor, and not something you want when learning.

I found the owner arrogant and short tempered and have since heard several other people comment on his manner. He seems to have forgotten what it is like to learn how to ride a motorcycle.

This training centre does not deal or repair motorcycles like some training centres, which have on call their own mechanics. As a result I found the bikes poorly maintained.

I would not recommend this training centre.

I am submitting this review now because my first review was deleted by the owners of this training school. They read my review, couldn't take any form of criticism and had the review deleted. All I can imagine is that the truth must hurt and some people just can't handle freespeech, which in itself speaks volumes about a company. I can just imagine this company doing their best to try and have this review deleted or other more positive reviews posted to negate this one. I hope TrustPilot stands true to its principles and keeps this review.

Note how this company responds to my review and has trawled through my other reviews, picking up on the other dreadful training school in Falkirk. Anyone that takes the time to browse through my reviews will also see an excellent review of Saltire Motorcycles.

This review kicks off TrustPilot reviews on this company and I hope many others follow with truthful reviews.

It is interesting to see this review 3 years and 3 months after the candidate took a CBT here and I am grateful to him for bringing trustpilot to our attention.

It is also noteable that he has similar comments about another training school in the Falkirk area. Family owned independent riding schools have been the backbone of the motorcycle training sector for years and it is only relatively recently that we have had the "one stop shop" dealerships offering everything
in one place (with the notable exception of Two Wheels in Edinburgh who have had a training department for years).

I am also interested to see the praise given to Saltire, despite the many negative aspects listed on his review there about inadequate mod1 practice and
taking candidates on main roads straight away.

For anyone interested in feedback, please check out our 4.9/ 5.00 on Facebook. We have always been in this business for the long haul, and not to get rich quick, or sell people motorcycles. We have had many customers over the years, often people who took their test with us when we first started bring their children here when they are old enough for motorcyles.

One poor reveiw in a sample of one is a bit like taking a single candidate to test, he or she will pass or fail, it will be 0% or 100% and we would much prefer to go with the bigger picture.
