Zegrahm gets my highest recommendation possible.

I recently returned from a 13-day Seychelles exploration and snorkel/dive adventure beginning in Zanzibar, visiting something like 9 Seychelles Atolls and islands for tons of daily snorkeling and diving, and finishing in Mahe where we departed from.

This was absolutely the best cruise/group experience I have ever had on either land or sea. Zegrahm charters the boats and I was lucky enough to be on the Ponant ship, Le Bougainville, which is very posh, with a friendly and polite staff, an amazing french chef, good food, a nice spa, you name it. My bedroom was like a small luxury hotel and each room had a balcony so you could enjoy seaside and ocean views from your bed or balcony whenever you'd like. It was lovely. I especially appreciated coming back to such a haven after long days of sunshine, beach and snorkeling.

Not only was the cruise ship and it's staff fantastic, but the Zegrahm staff were all wonderful. I sat and had dinner with many of them every day and they somehow remembered all our names (99 or so of us). They snorkeled and dove with us, pointing out fish and naming species, they went birding, they provided lectures in the mornings and evenings in their areas of expertise, because Zegrahm hires Marine Biologists, Anthropologists, and countless other individuals (with PhDs) to provide insight and lessons into the history and ecology of the places being visited and seen.

At the conclusion of the trip - I didn't want it to end. I had made several like-minded friends for travel, was invited on future trips and exchanged information with almost everyone. We were a family by the end, both staff and customers. Hugs all around as we celebrated all we had seen together and promised to keep in touch. Zegrahm fosters that type of environment when you travel with them - and it was welcoming and especially enjoyable for a solo traveler like myself.

These trips aren't cheap - but are worthwhile for all you see and do - most things you'd never be able to see on your own and certainly not with trained ecologists and marine science experts. I believe you get what you pay for. I was one of the youngest on board but there was a small group of about ten 30-40 year olds with the vast majority being probably 50-80.

This isn't a sit on the boat all day-type thing. You are going to be waking up early, going out 2-3x a day and really seeing and doing things. You almost never have down time and you are always learning, seeing, talking and doing. It's expeditionary, not sedentary. It's fun and really enriching.

The best way to know someone is doing a good job at this price point (think around $8-12k per person) is repeat customers and I met countless people who have done 6-12 of these expeditions with Zegrahm and knew the staff already. That's the absolute best recommendation you can get. I'll be booking with them again without any hesitation.

Wonderful expeditions. Just took our 8th trip. The staff of experts is superb. On all cruises there are multiple experts who are not only lecturers but participants. They are available and interactive 24/7. They not only inform but inspire. The trips are fun! The atmosphere is casual and the adventure is always first. The itineraries are never mundane. Ships comfortable and without being over the top. Cannot say enough about this great company.

Zegrahm’s Treasures of Japan trip was flawlessly executed, wonderfully engaging, and incredibly personal. I would absolutely book a trip blindly—without knowing where I was going— because I’m confident that it would be phenomenal.

Been on 3 so far and another booked for 2020. Love the small ships, the Zegrahm staff, the ship's crew (and food). The staff is especially helpful and patient with those of a "certain age."

Staff was very knowledgeable. I learned a lot....and I thought I knew it all!! Excursions were absolutely amazing. Staff and crew were very concerned with our safety and always there to help. Some moments were emotional. The beauty, the sights and sounds were overwhelming.

Fascinating itineraries

We have traveled with Zegrahm Expeditions on four different voyages, and they have all been tremendous experiences. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and perfectly suited for the travel industry. Many of them have become our friends, because we have traveled with them on multiple voyages.

The Zegrahm experience is enhanced with daily lectures by naturalists, historians, biologists, and anthropologists. And we appreciate that all excursions, beverages, and tips are included in the price of the expedition. There are never any surprise fees.

We love Zegrahm Expeditions and we will definitely travel with them again and again!

As always, Zegrahm allowed me to travel to places in comfort and safety that would be difficult or impossible without their expertise.

The experience could not have been better. Great accomodations, food and staff. The various expeditions planned for us often took us on the road less travelled so we avoided crowds and felt like we were seeing the authentic Iceland and Greenland. And when it came to the staff.... both those provided by the ship, those chosen by Zegraham and our Iceland guide and bus drivers were excellent.
I think, though, that the main reason I choose Zegram is for the abilities of your people to assure us of a smooth and interesting trip and make us feel like treasured friends. And make us laugh. From the Cruise Director and Expedition Leader through expert lecturers and Zodiac drivers ..... all were knowledgeable, talented, friendly and fun.

Have not had our trip yet. Customer service leading up to our traveling has been okay, but they messed up our billing. They ignored several emails that had payment information and then sent an email that we were past due. Hoping the trip will be amazing.

Booked cruise with Zeagrahm initially online but finished with direct phone call as I wanted clarification of several details. The online site answered my questions immediately and the phone contact satisfied all my further concerns Very easy and pleasant booking experience.

My husband and I traveled with Zegrahm to Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica last winter, January 2018. This is a professional group excelling in everything from zodiac explorations to entertaining talks on happenings every day. We are seniors and appreciated greatly all the care and attention given to ensure our enjoyment and safety when experiencing some of the challenging aspects of this trip.

AMAZING ADVENTURE! Seeing polar bears & walrus, in their native habitat, has been on my Bucket List for 30 years. Zegrahm Expeditions makes the extra effort to keep both us humans AND the wildlife safe. The Cruise Director & Expedition Leader delivered an extraordinary experience... several polar bear & walrus sightings, plus Arctic fox, bearded seal, reindeer... & birds, birds, birds! The guest lecturers were SUPERB, with expertise in polar history, geology, polar bears, birds & wildlife. Wonderful lectures! The Zodiac drivers were all outstanding... skilled professionals & also knowledgeable. On board, the ship itself was quite comfortable, the staff professional & friendly... & the best food of any cruise I’ve been on! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND both Zegrahm and their Svalbard circumnavigation trip... & look forward to my next Zegrahm adventure!

The expedition leaders were all excellent and they guided us in a way that was respectful of the wildlife. The dedication of the Zegrahm's staff and their relationship with the ships's captain allowed us to make the most of good and bad weather conditions to insure that we had interesting experiences each day
