Zezgo car rental in Ft Lauderdale…

Zezgo car rental in Ft Lauderdale Florida is a scam company. I would give them negative stars if I could. Don’t let the 1 star fool you. I highly recommend avoiding them and just going with a reputable company like enterprise or hertz. For starters, I booked a vehicle on expedia which zezgo advertised vehicle rentals at a low cost. My total rental was roughly 100 dollars and paid in full at the time I booked. When I arrived in Florida the girl at the desk said they do not honor anything from expedia. So they falsely advertise on Expedia just to get you in their store. Then I ended up paying almost 300 dollars for the rental and a 1000 dollar deposit. When I returned the car they accused me of scratching the car and that I would not be getting my 1000 dollar deposit back. I absolutely did not scratch their car and they have no proof that I did. This is a dishonest company with terrible customer service. Scam, fraud, do not use this company!

DO NOT RENT EVER FROM HERE!!!!

DO NOT RENT EVER FROM HERE!!!!! 0 stars. Absolutely rude and disgusting staff. Demanding I pay $2000 for security deposit plus demanding I pay their insurance (even though I had my own policy) or they won't rent. They told me they "ran my policy number" and said my coverage is missing a lot of things so I would have to pay theirs. I never gave them my policy # so when I asked them what policy number they ran he said "oh I just had it here I must've lost it" then I said ok I'll wait until you find it. Then said was it 1122? LMAO absolute jokes. Not to mention no one physically works there, you have to talk to someone through a virtual TV so when I asked if he could clarify or email me the company's policy since they were demanding so much money, he said "ok clearly you don't want a car, I'm canceling your reservation" and hung up on me LOL. Idk how they're a business. Everyone on my shuttle dealt with the same thing and all walked out without a car. No one wanted to rent with them or trust them with their credit card. Everyone ended up back at the airport to rent from another company.

Extremely Poor Customer Service

I did not have my personal insurance policy number available at the time of rental on a Saturday evening. (I have rented vehicles in the past from several different companies and was never asked to provide a policy number.) I told the rental agent that I could provide the number on Monday once I contacted my insurance company but he said no. I suggested several reasonable alternatives to the rental agent which were all unacceptable to him. He would not let me have the vehicle unless I paid for additional insurance. When I asked about canceling the reservation, he told me there would be no refund. The rental agent was rude and extremely unhelpful. When I contacted the main office after returning home, I was also denied any type of refund. In my opinion, this company does not care about the customer and is more concerned about making money as evidenced by their overly strict policies. I do not recommend using this company; there are many other rental car companies with whom I've done business and have been very pleased with the service provided. I was also surprised at being charged a $1,000 deposit! If enough people boycott Zezgo car rentals, maybe they will get the message that they need to seriously improve their customer service and make their policies more user friendly.

ZezGo charged inappropriate fees

ZezGo representative refused to provide a vehicle because I wouldn't pay for additional insurance coverage when I already had full coverage. I had to rent a vehicle from another company, and I lost the fee I already paid for the ZezGo vehicle. Worst car rental experience of my life.

Terrible place to rent a car would never do this again. Charge an extra $90 plus $1000 hold on my credit card. You have to take two shuttles to get to airport Expedia is using this company and it’s a rip off.

I was charged $458 for fictitious "damages"

I was charged $458 for "damages" on a car return in Ft Lauderdale that are completely fictitious. Car was returned in the same condition as when I received it. Agent receiving the vehicle acknowledged everything was fine during the return. Their vehicles are poorly maintained and the management is unscrupulous.

Many many hidden fees upon pick up…

Many many hidden fees upon pick up after you book and pay for the rental online. There is no mention of a $1,000.00 deposit (witch takes 7-10 days to get back) when you rent the car, or a $15.00 a day mandatory toll fee, or $30.99 daily if you choose your insurance and not theirs. I went back to my initial rental agreement and NONE of these fees are mentioned. BUT to top if off, the best part was I got half way to my destination and the back breaks started grinding on the car..metal to metal, non stop grinding. I called them and they refused to bring me another car, and pick up the one I had, they told me I had to drive it an hour and a half back with the breaks grinding non stop. They DO NOT care about the safety of their customers.

They added $200 plus in non negotiable hidden fees at the time we picked up the car. They understaff workers in order to cut costs. We waited for well over an hour to get our rental because they only had one person working intake at peak hours.

This place sucks

This place sucks. Worst experience I ever had Takes forever. I never rented a car and took me 30 mins Also they made me pay a loss of use charge. That’s some bullshit charge Just never had such a terrible experience with a rent a car company. If I could have cancelled I would have. Expedia needs to un associate with them. Makes them look bad. Not a good way to start my vacation in Florida. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this place. It’s a joke

On arrival at FLL

On arrival at FLL, I went to the car rental center. Not one sign for Zezgo. When tired from a delayed flight, people don't like 'hunting' for a company who does know enough to put up a sign on the same floor as arrivals. Not one agent from National/Avis/Hertz had EVER heard of Zezgo. Finally, after walking floor to floor, on the 3rd fl, at the bottom of a small sign was Zezgo customers call this no. After finding the shuttle stop (very last space with no sign), I waited for the shuttle whose driver was nice. He did know, most customers have the same frustrations. The desk employee was in no hurry/couldn't care less. No other customers. He never told this customer to follow (fortunately written) (emailed at check-in)instructions to take photos prior to driving away. Zero courtesy. Didn't ask if I needed help with the best way to my destination/'goodwill' gestures that bring return customers. I know you hire morons for minimum wage. When ya pay peanuts, you get the commensurate return. Seems, Zezgo may also go bankrupt, cause your reviews are disgraceful! You count on volume; not service! Your rep charged me $211.80 for insurance I did not need as I'm fully covered. Rather than argue with a clearly useless moron, I paid. But, I WILL NEVER USE YOUR DISGRACEFUL COMPANY AGAIN! And, I will express my dissatisfaction to EXPEDIA, who shouldn't be using a bottom rated/shitty reviews, rubbish company. I'm 70+. I have a very small list of companies who NEVER get return business. Zezgo made the list!

Now 3 January 2026. Notice, the scumbags at ZEZGO didn't have the courtesy to reply. They know they live a 1-star rating. Caveat Emptor=Buyer Beware!

Gave them a 1 star because of no other…

Gave them a 1 star because of no other choices. Got my rental as a bundal through Expedia. When I got to the rental office, I was told that my car insurance did not cover loss and damage when in fact I have full insurance and have transferred same insurance with other rental companies.
They have other hidden fees that no other companies have charged me for in Fl. Their advertising is misleading and suggest prople go with other rentals co and stay away.

Please don’t use this company

Please don’t use this company. They spoil our vacation. We booked car with them on line and were told to bring our car insurance (if we have full coverage) and we do, that they are going to charge $500.00 refundable deposit when we take car out. First able we waited at the airport for almost an 1 hour for shuttle to show up and then they ask for extra non refundable @250.00 for lost of use.( if car ends up in body shop)We called uber and driver took us to another rent a car place where we got a car, paid less, they excepted our insurance and never charged us anything extra. Never heard that. It’s a scam.Don’t be another VICTIM.

Expect to pay $100 extra minimum

Extra charges, no one speaks English so it was difficult to communicate. Shuttle driver told us he would be back in 10 minutes and then came back 40 minutes later. Only 2 workers inside and a line out the door full. Building full of unhappy customers comparing about all the hidden fees after paying a 3rd party sight.

Scandalous. Like many others, I got charged for "loss of use" insurance while my insurer covers it. This is shitty business. I am plunging a claim at the BBB if I don't get a refund dispute proofs I sent them by email.

Worst rental car company on earth TIMES TEN

Worst rental car company on earth, period. Not even close. From giving me a broken and unsafe car, to padding on a bunch of garbage fees they couldn't even explain clearly to ghosting me when I called to report the unsafe car, to ghosting me every time I have tried to contact their pathetic nonexistent customer service. This is a scam company that should have their license to do business revoked.

Now 2 months later they say they need the reservation details. I provided all of that in my emails begging them for the response they never gave. They have every detail needed but never replied to my emails, only to my reviews where only an idiot would enter all their specific information. So, Zezgo, YOU ALREADY HAVE ALL OF THAT INFORMATION FOR MONTHS. YOU JUST IGNORED IT. AND YOU TOOK 2 MONTHS FOR A REPLY. you may process my well deserved refund at any time and I continue my position that this firm should have its business license revoked for being a scam operator.

COMPLETELY SCAM and ripoff

COMPLETELY SCAM and ripoff. We booked ours thru Expedia due to cheapest option but DONT get trapped like us. As everyone else has said about the Sunpass for the Toll is true. Rental place is not on the airport so u have to go off airport for pick up and drop off. Their shuttle service start after 8:00AM so if u have early morning flight than you are stuck getting Uber to drive u back to airport. Car was completely trash. We end up paying more for the rental car service with all those hidden charges when we actually went to get the car. No option of canceling the service so you have to rent it from their service. The person at the desk was very RUDE and NASTY. No customer service what’s so ever. All other Bad reviews about ZEZGO is 💯 true. We experienced pretty much all.

Thank you for leaving your feedback, we are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your rental experience.
May I please elaborate on a few of these points. Firstly the branch is not airport location and we do not advertise it to be. All customers are made aware prior to collection that they will need to request a shuttle to take them to the branch, this information is not hidden in any way and is clearly outlined in the pick up instructions. The shuttle service will only operate when the branch is open therefore if a customer returns the vehicle earlier than scheduled they will have to find an alternative route back to the airport.
With regards to the condition of the vehicle, at the start of each rental an inspection is done between the customer and agent, if a customer has any concerns about the vehicle being offered this is the time to address the issue and request an alternative if needed.
Customers can cancel their reservation up to 24 hours prior to collection for a full refund, after this period we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations.

Our staff receive training at a high standard, and we apologize if the agent in question appeared rude on this occasion. This misunderstanding may have been due to a language barrier, if English is not either the agents or customers native language.
