First off, they are so far from the airport it's not funny. By the time the shuttle pick you up and take you to their office, you could rent a car at the airport and drive to bush garden. !!! They th... See more

SCAM!
SCAM!! BEWARE!! From beginning to end this experience was awful. Booked on Priceline and was charged one price. By the time we were done the price had increased by 235%. What a ripoff.
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 red alert
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 red alert, Do not rent from this shifty ass company. These people have failed to provide my auto insurance company with an itemized bill with a breakdown of parts, repairs, and men hours to make repairs to damage vehicle. Therefore my $250 deductible cost me an additional $1250.00. This company should not be in business here in the US with these type of practices they exercise and rip of the costumers.
Do not rent from this company
Do not rent from this company. They are crooks. The car was part of a flight package through Travelocity. When you go to check in they force you to buy "loss of use" insurance through them even though your own insurance and your credit card covers that. If you don't they will not let you rent the car. We arrived in the evening and it took forever to check in. While waiting in line, I could hear them pulling this underhanded trick on every person and at first i thought it was because the customer didn't have sufficient insurance coverage. Not the case at all and they do it to everyone judging by the reviews. The 5 star reviews are fake. Then you have to check the car out yourself by taking photos and uploading to them. The cars are old and tired and not very clean. This surprise "loss of use" charge is not mentioned anywhere on their website or on Travelocity website and they spring it on everybody during check in knowing that most people have no choice but to pay it. There should be a class action suit against this company because this is pure theft and is happening to everyone. You have been warned. Share with your friends.
Update: I just got a survey from them by email. After accurately filling it out and hitting the NEXT button, nothing happens. I guess they didn't like my honest survey. LOL!
How can they be allowed to operate with such deceptive business practice? I can see it in other 3rd world countries but in the US? Bring on the class action suit. Easy pickings for a good aggressive law firm.
PS. I just looked at my contact emailed contract and noticed that the $250 deposit they promised was actually $1000. I don't see it on my statement so I guess I'm lucky. I'm disputing the excess insurance charge with my credit card company. You should all do the same. For all the people screwed in Ft Lauderdale, maybe we can all file a complaint with the Florida AG consumer protection. Don't let them get away with this.
Horrible rental car experience in San Juan, PR
We tried to rent a car through Zezgo in San Juan Puerto Rico via the Uber app and the entire experience was awful. The car we reserved wasn't available when we got there, and we overheard another couple say that they had reserved the exact same car. There was an open bottle of tequila on the counter...it was 11am. The people behind the counter didn't seem to know what was going on at all.
Now we are dealing with a duplicate charge issue. They charged us for the original reservation, then when they provided us with a backup car, they never refunded us for the original booking. Uber is claiming that we have to go through the merchant (which is BS considering we booked it through them and my bank statement says the charge is from Uber), but fine. So I tried calling the MULTIPLE numbers they have listed. The number attached to their Google Business profile doesn't exist. The other number I could find, referenced by Uber, just rings and rings, no dial tone to leave a message and no person on the other end.
Horrible, horrible experience and will never ever use Zezgo again nor will I ever rent a car through Uber again. Terrible company, avoid.
This is not a car rental company..its a scam
This is not a car rental company — it’s a scam operation disguised as one. I booked with what I thought was “RIDE,” but when I arrived, the office had a completely different name: ZEZGO. Right there, I should have known something was wrong.
They refused to accept my legitimate insurance (which fully covers rentals) and tried to force me into buying their overpriced insurance, using fear tactics about tolls, fake fines, and “policies” that don’t exist. They lied about the toll system just to scare customers into paying extra.
On top of that, they invented fake fees right at the counter — charges that were never mentioned anywhere during the booking process. Everything felt like a setup to squeeze as much money as possible from customers.
When I looked online afterward, I found dozens of reviews describing the same exact scam — so this isn’t an accident or a “misunderstanding.” This is a pattern of deceit and intimidation that this company uses to exploit travelers.
Their business model is pure manipulation: refuse your insurance, scare you with tolls, add fake fees, and hope you’re too tired to fight back.
I strongly warn anyone reading this: DO NOT RENT HERE. Stay far, far away from ZEZGO / RIDE. They are predatory, dishonest, and completely unethical. There are plenty of reputable companies out there — don’t let these scammers ruin your trip.
🚫 Terrible Experience – Right Cars Dominican Republic
My experience with Right Cars in the Dominican Republic was traumatic and very disappointing. If I were to describe everything in detail, this review would be far too long—but I’ll summarize the main issues so others can avoid going through the same.
1️⃣ Misleading pricing: They advertise very low rental rates but never mention the extremely high insurance cost. I was charged USD 46 per day for insurance—which made absolutely no sense since the car itself cost less than half of that.
2️⃣ Wrong vehicle: I booked a Hyundai Cantus Compact or similar but was given a tiny, unknown Chinese brand that looked nothing like what I reserved.
3️⃣ Excessive deposit: They tried to hold USD 2,000 “just in case” without providing a clear reason.
4️⃣ Illegal passport retention: They kept my U.S. passport during the entire rental period—something that is absolutely illegal and unacceptable.
5️⃣ Wasted time and lack of transparency: We spent almost four hours at the counter trying to find a solution regarding the insurance. After comparing with other rental companies, we found the average insurance rate was around USD 16 per day, yet we still ended up paying USD 26 daily, which was still excessive.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was filled with deceptive practices, poor customer service, and unethical behavior. My sincere advice: rent from a well-known, reputable company where prices are clear and you won’t be surprised with hidden charges or unfair treatment.
DO NOT BOOK!!!
They have hidden fees their communication is horrible… when I dropped off the vehicle no one was at the office had to call the location in Punta Cana to wake up the customer service rep as they were asleep in the office. I will never ever book with them or through a 3rd party who works with them. Be aware on top of the insurance you put on your vehicle through the 3rd party they also make you pay additional insurance.
Thieves!! Do not rent from Zezgo!
Attempted to rent in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
PLEASE believe the bad reviews and DO NOT rent from these thieves! Although I paid in full weeks before and purchased full coverage, I was asked to pay $160 extra in “puerto Rico taxes”, an additional $18.99 per day for insurance plus an exorbitant rate for tolls.
The app required too much information…
The app required too much information to complete the domestic flight booking, and my name was incorrect. I was charged over $287 for a one-day car rental. Additionally, the information to find the shuttle was listed under a different name, and the directions provided were incorrect. Even the site to chek and leave feedback does not work
(in FL)
they'll overcharge you for sure and offer a piece of crap car . Then do nothing ,but say you signed the agreement . Move on
The car rental was prepaid with the airline flight . The shuttle was late to off site parking . The car was dirty and needed new brakes badly . The attendant would not accept my proof of insurance , so insurance , damage waiver 90 dollars for tolls and other charges making the 300 do car rental for 6 days 650 dollars . for 6 days . one star is too high
I got scammed by them pro
This is by far the worst car rental customer service are rude and unprofessional they try being super aggressive with me on buying additional insurance when i told them i got full coverage from the website and Geico covers the insurance. There were old couples there they were screaming at they had double their cost of the car. Its a scam dont go for cheap car they will scam you.
Hidden Charges
The young lady who checked me in was rude, no customer service skills at all. She told me I could cancel my reservation while I was standing at the counter. If there was another rental place close by I would have. My car insurance company said I was fully covered, my credit card company said I was fully covered, and the rude counter agent wouldn't accept any of my insurances and charged me 30$ per day, which as a Canadian I had to pay an additional 30% on top of the daily charges.
SCAM ALERT
I was told by one of their Employees that they purposely don't fill up the gas tank so when you return the car and you don't document that it was not filled they charge you a 65.00 Dollars fee. They also charge you 25.00 dollars 💸 fee for not returning the car during their business hours. WHAT A SCAM.
Not Good
Pickup from airport was very slow. Booked Zezgo through Travelocity. I couldn't understand the agent (non-english speaking in the United States) but they didn't use the Travelocity pricing and added the same items and doubled up on fees. The fees for the toll pass were not shown, just added. Pretty much everything is an unknown dollar value they added on.
Gave them a 1 star because of no other…
Gave them a 1 star because of no other choices. Got my rental as a bundal through Expedia. When I got to the rental office, I was told that my car insurance did not cover loss and damage when in fact I have full insurance and have transferred same insurance with other rental companies.
They have other hidden fees that no other companies have charged me for in Fl. Their advertising is misleading and suggest prople go with other rentals co and stay away.
This company does not exist in Heraklion!
Arriving in the middle of the night at Heraklion airport, we had reserved and payed for a rental car with Zezgo.
There was no Zezgo pick-up shuttle, nobody answering the Zezgo phone number and after walking to the Zezgo rental adres we found an abandoned place where there is definitely no car rentals!
We had a horrible night in Heraklion and are still waiting for our money back!
My Worst experience in a life time
This was by far the WORST rental experience I’ve ever had. The car they gave us had constant battery issues and completely died on 9/21/25, leaving us stranded. We had to pay out-of-pocket just to get it jump-started, and when we called customer service, they wasted hours of our time only to tell us to drive the car 3 hours back. That meant another 3 hours returning to the Keys — a full day of our vacation completely destroyed.
To make things even more ridiculous, the keychain had the WRONG return address, adding another half hour of driving we shouldn’t have had to do. Between the unreliable vehicle, incompetent service, and careless mistakes, our yearly vacation was ruined.
This company clearly doesn’t care about its customers or their time. If you’re thinking about renting here, DON’T. Save yourself the stress, money, and aggravation — go literally anywhere else.
Booked online? Prepare to pay more...
I really wanted to like this company but here's the gist...
I booked through an online site for my recent vacation. As soon as I booked my dates, I signed into the Zezgo site and saw that the dates were booked for one day earlier and for returning one day earlier that what I booked on what I found out was a 3rd party site. After several unanswered emails to the only email addresses that I had, my wife finally called to try to talk to someone in the office to make sure we had secured a card. After two days, we had the reservation updated.
Once we arrive to pickup the car, we were told that the $90 that I though was securing the car for the weekend was not enough. They proceeded to tell me that only $70 would be applied to the agreement and I ended up leaving by paying an additional $113.70 (the tolls portion was expected). We did not use the toll transponder at all during the trip and there was not deduction for not doing so (not thinking it would be refunded). On Tuesday, I was charged an additional $77.55 and will dispute this with my credit card as it was not on the agreement.
Between the unresponsive emails and the extra fees that were added on before signing the agreement and the ones after the agreement, I will have to disclose all of this in the survey or review site as well as provide all of this to my credit card company to review during the dispute of the last charge.
At $281.25 for the rental, I could have rented a better car right at the airport.
UPDATE: They finally two weeks later about the $77.55 charge. They claimed it was for tolls (which I never even used or drove on a toll road) and vehicle cleaning fee (car was returned spotless and was never informed of any type of additional cleaning fee). They provided all of my paperwork and even the credit card slips that I signed. The $77.55 was not signed and was not even presented to me to sign when I returned the car but they had me sign one that said $0.00 when I returned the car indicating the car was returned in good shape. BE AWARE OF THIS SHADY BUSINESS.
DON'T DO IT!
Rented through Expedia to pick up at LAX. The lady at the counter refused to accept my insurance info after I presented her with a card and with the policy itself. Got charged $ 98 for their insurance. Never in my life has it been this difficult to rent a vehicle. And to top it all off, she was RUDE!
