i spent over $2,000 on a pre built ready to roll pc and it came in about a week which was nice. but the first time i even use it to play games the cpu gets really hot. i’ve contacted them and asked why it gets so hot since it’s literally brand new and they said that’s just how intel is which isn’t true because i have the same intel i-7 core in my old pc and never had that issue. they told me we don’t know how warm the room your using it in is or if you got it tucked away underneath your desk (which i do not) it’s on top of my desktop with plenty of breathing space. i have to freeze my room out to about 60 degrees Fahrenheit and freeze myself to the core just to play games and it still hits over 176 degrees Fahrenheit. some cores hit 185-190. i’d say the pc will be fried and broke in a year or less. if i wasn’t dealing with that i would give 5 stars but to me that’s a major issue. i’m no professional at computers but what i always learned was anything over 176 degrees Fahrenheit for prolonged use is dangerous to your computer components.

Bought my daughter a custom laptop for…

Bought my daughter a custom laptop for $3000. To use for school/gaming Showed up it wouldn’t even start and had to sit on tech-support for many many hours to figure out the problem and then finally got it working. They said they don’t even check the computers anymore before they send them out. It’s all automated. Well, now after about five months, it just stopped working and after many hours and rude customer service They’re saying it’s a Windows issue But I’ve discussed this with a computer tech friend of mine and he says it’s most likely a failed hard drive, either way Gotta send it off for a very slow, fix it process and she really needs this computer for school. It’s a failed hard drive, She just lost months worth of schoolwork. My guess is this company got too big too fast and they can’t keep up with orders and are not doing a very good job/quality work just to pump them out. Hence, all the bad reviews. You need to do better Jesse

Good warranty, but...what a POS

They have a lifetime guarantee and you can't beat that; however....
I am extremely unhappy with the components they put together for me. The machine lags worse than my good old i9 running windows 10. I now own a $3,500.00 brick. It just sits. What a waste of money and my time.

Solid Product/Service Support a little rough

I have years of experience building my own PC's in the past (i built my last 3 PC's) and wanted to not deal with the hassle this time around. Their prices are very fair for quality components. Well built and performed great. Regardless they are custom pc's stuff happens, it appears my PSU went and was glad to have the warranty but I wish it was more transparent. When a return is required you are responsible for the shipping and packaging, usually you would not think that to be the case in a warranty situation. But it cost me around $250 to get the computer out there. But i would say my biggest complaint was the speed in which this is being turned around. 3-4 business days to start after receiving, and 4-5 business days to complete (currently on day 4), and then it will probably be another week for shipping assuming its completed in the originally estimated time frame. All in all for the price/quality, i do not regret the purchase at all but with this experience i would be hesitant to get another one, unless maybe the service center was not so far from me.

Horrible customer service. Horrible Product. Avoid at all costs

Horrible customer service. PC sat in quality control for several weeks, yet still has non stop issues. Broken drivers that took factory resets to fix. Incorrect BIOS settings. Incorrect fan timings. Incorrect DRAM speeds. PC does not monitor fan speeds at all. Faulty PSU. Overheating CPU (temps of over 90 C). Constant BSODs. Incompatible hardware. Water pumps did not actually cycle any water until I changed it in the BIOS settings. Nothing was set properly. Not one thing.

Contacting support, the agent, Sho, who claimed "i just work here my guy" was absolutely no help. Yes "my guy", you work at Xidax, that is why we are contacting you "my guy".

This is a $6000 rig. i9-14900KS with a RTX 4080 Super. Never would you think that my 10 year old rig would run better.

If anyone wants to reach out for a class-action lawsuit, do not hesitate. You can leave me a detail of your issues that I will forward to the lawyer here: xidaxclassaction at gmail.

Don't let them keep getting away with providing bad and faulty products.

Nothing but issues

Nothing but issues

My partner bought a PC from this company because they boasted a “lifetime warranty guarantee.” They didn’t specify that the lifetime warranty was for being a pain in the ass, not the pc. First off the pc took 2-3 weeks to even start being built, mind you we spent 6k. You’d think they’d have a little pep in their step. It took over 2 WEEKS in quality control which seemed fishy, now we know why. We finally get the pc and nothing but problems. Continual crashes. Settings that aren’t compatible and auto reset to a default that crashes the computer. Fan speeds unreadable. Incompatible parts that were still sold to us and we weren’t altered to it.
When we try to reach out to support because they are “24/7,” we get no response. We call, straight to hold and nobody answers. Lo and behold when I use the extension to BUY a new pc someone will answer right away. We are issuing a full refund that will take weeks if not months. Don’t buy from this company. They won’t take care of you or your pc. Don’t give them your money. It’s not worth it.

just better off building it your self

I first bought this computer while i was deployed. got told it would be 10-12 business days for it to get completed waited 2 months for it to ship. I then owned my pc for 3 weeks maybe played games on it a total of 5 days if that and then I got a red cpu light on my mother board. sent it in for repairs and got told 4-5 business days is there queue at the moment. I WAITED 4 WEEKS and finally got my pc back to turn it on and still the display didnt work power button didn't work and red cpu light. got ahead of support and joel helped dude was amazing and kept apologizing for the people wanting to be lazy because all they did was swap cpu and sent it back. i spent 105 to ship it the first time for a computer that wasn't even a month old and then got told by support they will try to return my pc in working order. well I didn't i got a broken pc back and have to ship it back to them I am on the point of getting deployed again soon and I don't even know when i will have my computer back so I would stand clear of these guys until they get there stuff together because right now its nothing but a money stealing scam. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and waiting 1 more time to see if it works but if it does not I'm requesting a refund on it 4000$ and I get a broken pc that they wont even fix!!!!!!

Mistakes in build and bad support.

I orded a computer from them a long time ago, and although they made a few mistakes in building it (wrong RAM config, didn't attach the optical drive, etc.). They charged for premium soundproofing, but it was just a single $12 foam sticker on one side of the case. They refunded the soundproofing charge and sent the correct RAM, so no grudge. I'm still using the same computer, but the cooler is failing. I simply asked them which coolers are compatible, and they completely ignored my request for support. I'll buy a new custom rig again soon, but I'll never buy from Xidax again, and I can't recommend them. Any PC maker will be at least as good.

Lifetime Warranty where?

Where to start? I've purchased 3 computers for personal use from xidax since 2016, I've referred my roommate at the time and he has since purchased two, and a start-up I worked at I had purchased 4 office computers through Xidax (over 12k on this alone). My most recent purchase back in 2022, and my current setup at the moment, went terrible. They forgot the green unisleeves that I purchased, they forgot to send the power cable for the GPU that I told them I was going to be inserting (I purchased it w/o a GPU. they said that's fine and will send me the correct cable for the GPU I had), and the cable management is a complete mess on the back of the computer, it's as if a 6 year old put together my cables. I couldn't use my new PC when I purchased it until they sent me a replacement, which took a week.

All that said, I shut my mouth because I figured hey, it's just a one-off, whatever. Now I have a liquid cooler that they put in that broke within 2 years. (Xidax brand mind you). In my head, I'm thinking no problem! I have a lifetime warranty, that's why I always go through Xidax. Wrong. There is no lifetime warranty on your Liquid Cooler, there is only a 1-year warranty. This is not mentioned ANYWHERE aside from their warranty policy. What is mentioned everywhere though? "Lifetime Warranty". No asterisks, no small print. Just Lifetime Warranty in big bold letters.

So I'm being told that my options are basically sending it in and paying $167 for shipping, and buying a new AIO for $140 minimum. I cannot replace the AIO Cooler on my own as this will "Void Warranty". They never said anything about fixing it, just that I need to replace it, through them. Pretty sure this could very well be a class action lawsuit from false advertising.

Why would a liquid cooler not be under warranty? it costs less than the CPU, GPU, average size ram.. After reviewing these negative reviews, I'm starting to think that they do a crap installation on the coolers so you're forced to send it back to them in order for them to wiggle more money out of you otherwise void your warranty to save them money in the future. WIth the cable management this PC has, I have no doubts that this AIO was installed incorrectly.

This will be the last PC that I purchase through Xidax. I definitely should not be paying shipping for this PC on a repair due to the issues and missing purchases that arose previously from when it first arrived.

If you need a custom computer fast, you might want to look elsewhere.

I want to preface this review by making a clear understanding. I am not bashing. I have worked in the IT field for many years so I do understand how things can work typically.

That said, I’m 51 years old and frankly just did not want to build my own system again. Busy with work, family, etc. So I decided to do a custom build. In the past, I have ordered custom configured systems that I usually receive within about 10 days on average. Again on average.

I ordered a $3300 system, then add tax and shipping. I thought the shipping was going to be free due to the cost but that’s neither here nor there. So it came out to approximately $3700. I understand the company is busy, large and receives many, many orders, not just mine. That said after one week, the status of my order has not even changed. Simply says ordered. When I reach out to customer service just to get a little bit of a general idea on potential build and ship date, I get the same generic response. Leadtime can be two weeks. It’s really busy right now. Might be three weeks, could be a month. None of that is specified when you order or configure. Had I known it was going to take that long, I would have probably tried elsewhere. The prebuilt systems are decent, but you cannot change any configuration at all, not even add memory. So custom was my only option .

I work from home and my current system is having issues that are progressively getting worse. Just trying to know when the system will be built, tested, and then shipped, apparently requires a mathematical computation that I don’t understand.

I will update this review when I eventually receive my system which at this point looks like it will probably be the beginning of May, a month from now.

Stay tuned…

Update: So I managed to deal with somebody and customer service. That was absolutely amazing. Tanner, I believe his name was. Just wow. Empathetic, pushed to get my system, built and shipped very quickly. You don’t get customer service like that very often.

The computer runs great. No issues. Packaged incredibly well. I still think at this particular time we are paying an absolute premium for hardware but that said this is a very high-quality system. Definitely met my expectations. Tanner deserves a metal. I would order from them again, but keep in mind, custom builds take longer.

I am incredibly disappointed in this…

I am incredibly disappointed in this company. I had purchased a $8,000 X-10 desktop from them in late 2022, talking to Suhy to get everything from my specs to a text when the 40 series went live and I could purchase my build. I had paid extra to get a fully themed build, but was then told it would only be a custom backplate, which was then scrapped because they could not wrap it properly. So, in the end, I got orange color water cooling liquid. I did receive a refund for the theming, but I am still disappointed, as I would have paid more for them to keep trying, and was never officially notified by anything other than a refund processing email. I had purchased the computer with the understanding that I would get a lower end Ryzen 7 CPU and upgrade it myself in the future when the 7000 series X3D chips were out, and was told that I would still get support assuming I had the upgrade done professionally.

Upon receiving the computer, I blue screened on my second boot. Resetting the CMOS fixed the issue for a couple of days, but every time I turned the computer off, it would fail to boot. Around August of 2023, I had purchased a new CPU and had it installed, hoping that would not only fix the issue but I would finally get the performance I had hoped for. Since recieving the PC, I hadn't been able to manage 240 FPS in Apex Legends with medium or even low settings, but I had attributed that to the bottleneck I had known I would have while cheaping out on the CPU. After upgrading to a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, the issue persisted. Modern Warfare 3 released, and I couldn't get above 200 frames with DLSS Balanced, and could hit 190-210 with DLSS Performance and medium settings.

So, I did a full reset, and even changed my boot drive to a 2TB 980 Pro.

I moved houses in February, and once I arrived my computer would no longer boot. I reseated the ram, to no avail. A couple more troubleshooting attempts and the computer did start and run, but the issues have persisted. So I talked to support, and they told me that I would not receive any assistance due to the new CPU, even though I was told by the employee that helped me build the computer I would be fine. Come to find out, he "no longer works here".

Everyone I had talked to in the past is incredibly friendly, and was super helpful, but now the manager is ghosting me through emails and I cannot get support from anyone with a computer that will not start up without resetting the BIOS, running the RAM at a slower than rated speed, and sacrificing gaming performance.

I just bought my second Xidax PC.

I just bought my second Xidax PC.
This one is 8k, the first one was 10k.
I was out of state for the Christmas Holiday and had specifically reached out ahead of time to have my PC delivered BY the 27th of Dec. when I would be back home. I needed the week between Christmas and New Years to set the PC up. They held shipping and when I noticed on the 20th it was still held, I requested they check to see if they had set it to ship ON the 27th instead of arriving on the 27th. I was told it could be there on the 27th if they could get it out fast enough and they would let me know. I was then told they could not get FedEx to pick it up that day and they would send me a shipping notification. That did not happen. Tried to reach them on the 23rd but no one available. Long story short, they told me they would expedite shipping and my PC will not ship until the 28th so I will not receive it until January 3rd. Never mind that FedEx offers next day and even same day shipping for items over 100 lbs. I have received no offers for recompense, discounts, etc. I expected the PC on the 27th, needed it to be here this week, and now it will arrive when I am already back at work. Very disappointed. I am sure my 8k PC will look great (at least I hope so) but it is hard for me to spend that kind of money and then be stressed throughout the holidays just to find out that expediting something still means they cannot get it here in less than 5 shipping days but my company can do that, and customer satisfaction is an apology but still failure to meet a customer's requests. Even an offer of speakers or the Viper bundle they are giving away in January or something I did not include in my order would have helped. Instead, I remain frustrated, and without the PC until I am too busy to set it up for several weeks. On my first PC, James Gingras worked there and advance replaced a custom build to resolve issues I had with the original. James has gone to Meta PCs and I probably should have too.
