XMandarin Chinese Language School Reviews 

I spent four weeks studying Chinese at XMandarin in Qingdao.
The school is well located, making it easy to explore the city, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.
I attended a group class three times a week, and I was very satisfied with it. The class was small, allowing everyone to participate actively, and the teacher was excellent—professional, well prepared, and motivating.
Unfortunately, my experience with the one-to-one lessons (two hours per day) was much less positive. The teacher initially assigned to me did not meet my expectations and, in my opinion, lacked an effective teaching methodology. I raised my concerns with the school almost immediately and asked to be assigned a different teacher.
What disappointed me most was that my request was not taken seriously at first. It was only after I insisted a second time that the school finally agreed to change my teacher, and the replacement did not arrive until the beginning of the third week. The new teacher was excellent, knowledgeable, and exactly what I had expected from the start.
Since I had enrolled for only four weeks, I feel that nearly half of my individual course was wasted. When you travel abroad specifically to study a language, every day counts, and I believe the school should respond much more quickly when a student expresses legitimate concerns about the quality of individual instruction.

I came to XMandarin in Qingdao for 4 months to start learning Chinese from the absolute beginner level. I had zero knowledge before arriving, but the teachers were super patient and made it really fun to pick up the basics.
Qingdao itself is such an awesome city to live in—I had an amazing time exploring the place. But what really made my trip special was the vibe at the school. I have to give a massive shoutout to the staff, especially Fairy and Ray! They are literally the best at welcoming new students. They made me feel right at home from day one and were always there to help out with absolutely everything, making the whole settling-in process super smooth.
If you're thinking about starting your Chinese journey, I totally recommend this place. Great city, great school, and amazing people!
