XOUNTS Tweeters Finished
One tweeter failed after just over 3 years. Yes, out of the 3-year warranty period, BUT.......Customer service refuses to sell me a replacement plug and play tweeter. I even offered to buy a pair so they would not have to break up a set. No go. They claim that the tweeters that are used in the XOUNTS system are not available as spare parts. If you own one, you know that they have to be plugged into the correct jacks and are not wired integrally within the unit. Horrible customer service and stay away from purchasing one of these units. Mine lasted just over 3 years and was no where used every day or week. Disappointed to say the least.
Their last response to me via email:
I wanted to follow up once more regarding your XOUNTS unit.
Our team has taken another look at your case internally. Unfortunately, we have to confirm that there is nothing further we can do in terms of repair. The tweeters used in the XOUNTS system are not available as separate spare parts, so replacing the individual component is not possible.
We also understand your point that the issue occurred after a relatively short period of use. Situations like this are certainly not what we expect from our systems, and we truly regret that you experienced this problem.
As mentioned previously, we offered you a 25% discount on a new XOUNTS unit. We would be happy to extend this offer for you until March 27th.

Why in the world would someone accept this offer? At 25% off, it's still over $600.00 including shipping for a product that has already demonstrated it has issues. Fool me once......
