Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, frequently reporting unresponsiveness, extreme delays, and difficulty in receiving any assistance. Customers also faced numerous product issues, including devices not functioning as expected, poor quality, and problems with activation or connectivity. However, some people mentioned that the product concept was great and the devices, once set up, often performed their intended functions well. Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Payed a lot for watch. Didn’t get the information to activate the watch or phone number. Have spend 2 weeks trying to resolve. Nothing but generic responses back. Now have a complaint in and block next payment on Klarna. None of that helping either. Can’t event work out how to send the watch back for refund.

The watch and App neither work

The watch and the App neither work as promised (phone calls not getting through, messages not getting through), and the screen has now (after a few weeks of use) developed disturbance stripes that make it impossible to read text at the bottom half of the screen. I wrote to the customer services using their form, received a prompt email asking follow up questions which I replied to - then nothing. As I’d heard nothing back after several days, I submitted a new customer form - and received the exactly, word to word same reply and questions back! Seems it’s just an automated message, with little to no follow up. We have a watch that does not work as promised, an app that does not work, parents and a child unable to keep in touch, and a customer service that does not reply. I wish we had never bought this watch.

We bought this phone for our 12 year…

We bought this phone for our 12 year old daughter because we wanted proper parental controls.

I think that the phone itself works well so far and the Xplora parent "control" app (£5/month) is fairly easy to work and it is good to be able to oversee how my daughter uses this phone, and also to control how much time she has on each app each day.

I would recommend that if possible the Messages functionality could also be time tracked (as this is what my daughter spends most of her time on) and also they should allow Group chats as this is a priority for a 12 year old.

Generally the customer service at Xplora isnt good = slow to respond and a team who dont seem able to help - which is a shame as this teen friendly smartphone is vitally needed by kids these days.

Awful experience which is still going on

Terrible company with worse customer service. Its impossible to speak to anyone and when they eventually email you back, its completely useless. I returned my son's watch as it wouldn't work and no one would help me. Im still waiting for a refund 2 weeks later. I would avoid ordering anything from this company at all costs. I wish I had read these reviews before I spent £180 on the watch.

Service cancelled while son away

Got a watch a month ago. All was great. Then xplora failed to take the subscription payment and cancelled service immediately, while my son was away for the day. And it takes a day to reconnect. This is a dangerous approach for a communication device. They should take payment a couple of days earlier and/or allow a couple of days grace period to correct payment problems.
Extremely dissapointed

We have an older watch

We have an older watch, which is OK, but suddenly, we need to use an older version of their app to be able to connect it to a new phone. Links on their website to the older version of the app should be available, and they are not. Not possible to set the watch up with the new phone, because the watch is not compatible with the current app version. Waste of money.

Great watch but terrible parent app

The watch is great and helps to keep track of where my child is and who they are talking to. However the app is terrible. Very slow, not fit for purpose and needs improving. I cannot see my child's text messages and this week it did not inform me that the watch battery was running low. When we went to use the watch today the battery had died unbeknown to ourselves.

SCAM ALERT

Such a bad service this company.
Bought a watch for my son and still haven’t received it after three weeks with endless emails sent out (no human contact only AI).
Save your money and buy else where

Save your money and don't buy it

I bought a xgo3 watch for my son and it is a useless but expensive piece of sh*t. It shows there is network but we can't ring the watch and our son can't ring us, the battery lasts only few hours. Their costumer service is slow and not much help, and they actually said that the watch is OK only when using two of the sim provider so you can't really choose what sim to use. This info isn't available before or after buying the watch.

The watch was working OK until recently and all this malfunction with a kid's watch that was supposed to help keep them safe is quite frustrating and potentially dangerous.

This is not a 50 euro watch, it is quite expensive for what it offers but we've decided it's worth it to keep our kid safe and have peace of mind... but it failed completely to provide what we've paid for and the delayed customer service barely did anything to help.

The xplora app or watch settings weren't any help at all.
We've tried to access Diagnostic tool in the watch settings and it asked for some Guardian code, with no instructions where to find it, and even Google and ChatGPT weren't able to help locate it.

Save your money and nerves and don't buy it.

Xplora need to do better!

Xplora need to do better!
The app isn't great, calls are fine and my child is happy but there is lots of refreshing needed in order for the app to pick up the watch beside it. The app forgets the device regularly and asks for it to be readded🤦🏼‍♀️ this isn't helpful when the child has left with it. The faults on the app are easily fixed with the right tech person. For the price of the watch it the app should be better!

I’ve been trying to activate the watch…

I’ve been trying to activate the watch for 3 days, but there’s been an issue. I haven’t been able to reach a real person or find a solution. I fill out the form and reply to the automated message, but still no response and no resolution. Terrible customer support. I want to return it, but I can’t find anyone to contact about it either. I will complain them to citizens advice consumer service

Excellent customer care

Excellent customer care. Received a prompt response to my queries. The watch is working well so far, clear sound, good coverage, and I love the fact that this device is exclusively for communication without any distracting apps or internet. Our 10-year-old is happy with it, and no need to buy a phone even whne he joins seconday.

Terrible service I’m being chased for paying an invoice despite contacting this company to cancel my subscription. Someone from customer services said it was sorted a month ago and I’ve been receiving chasers once again. Hopeless.

I'm surprised by so many negative…

I'm surprised by so many negative reviews. The first watch we had unfortunately stopped charging but Xplora sent us out a new one within days. The watch works well and has sensible functions. I do think the system needs a PC interface version of the app - like a messenger to contact the watch - this would mean a smartphone is not required for use of the Xplora. The X6 Play also needs a text function not just a messaging function so a child can send and receive a simple text from a saved contact's phone without Xplora installed on it. The X5 Play had this function. In general, we have had a positive experience with Xplora and I have recommended them to several people who don't want to give their children a phone, to distract them or to be lost, but still want to be able to contact their children.

Genuinely one of the worst customer…

Genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

1. The watch didn’t work upon arrival. Fundamental issue.

Queue 36 emails later I’m being sent a new watch. Which I don’t really want.

Even after 2 months when they reached the point of offering me a new watch they didn’t send it “because the order was on hold”, if it wasn’t for my email 2 WEEKS later asking where it was I genuinely don’t think they would’ve sent it.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
