Completing the Sculptural Face Lifting Videocourse with Yakov Gershkovich has been a wonderful experience. The video lessons are exceptionally clear, detailed, and structured in a way that makes mastering even the most intricate techniques smooth and intuitive.

I first enrolled and became online student since 2023, therefore attended the first ever Seminar of SFL™ in Thailand in 2024 to become a licensed practitioner!!

It is difficult for me to write a review of Yakov’s work without making it personal, because learning Sculptural Face Lifting™ from him became much more than simply learning a technique.

It changed the way I understand the face and, in many ways, the way I understand my work.

When I first learned SFL™, I thought I was learning how to lift, sculpt and release facial muscles. But the more I practiced, the more I began to understand that the real depth of this method lies in something far beyond the visible result.

You learn to listen through your hands.

To feel where the face is holding tension. To understand that what we see on the surface is often the result of something deeper patterns of movement, restriction, stress, habit and emotion that the face has carried quietly over time.

After working with so many different faces, I have come to appreciate how intelligent and thoughtful Yakov’s methodology truly is. No two faces respond in exactly the same way, and SFL™ taught me not to impose a result on a face, but to observe, understand and work with what is actually there.

That lesson has stayed with me throughout my career.

Yakov did not simply give me another technique to add to my treatment menu. He gave me a foundation a different language for understanding the face and a much deeper respect for the power of skilled human touch.

Even as I continued my education, studied other methodologies and developed my own way of working, I found myself returning again and again to principles I first understood through SFL™.

I will always be grateful not only for what I learned from him, but for where that knowledge has taken me into thousands of hours of working with real faces, constantly observing, questioning, refining and learning.

I’m a facialist based in Los Angeles, and I had the opportunity to take Yakov’s seminar in Berlin in 2024. Over the years, I’ve completed several facial massage and sculpting trainings, but Yakov’s method stands out above all the others. It has become the foundation of my practice and is the technique I use with virtually all of my clients.

I work with high-profile clientele in Los Angeles and internationally, and I consistently see remarkable results after just one hour of treatment. My clients are always impressed with the immediate changes they see and feel, and many of them refer their friends, family, and colleagues to experience the same treatment. That speaks volumes about the effectiveness of Yakov’s method.

The training itself is incredibly thorough. You’ll gain a deep understanding of facial, neck, and emotional anatomy, and Yakov is exceptionally attentive to every student. He takes the time to refine your hand placement, body mechanics, and technique to ensure you perform each movement correctly. One of the most valuable aspects of the course is experiencing Yakov’s touch firsthand. After the seminar, you also receive access to a comprehensive online course with beautifully produced instructional videos. They’re clear, easy to follow, and an incredible resource for practicing at home, refining your skills, and continuing to improve long after the in-person training.

I’ve recommended Yakov’s seminar to many colleagues in Los Angeles and across the world, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any facialist or therapist who wants to elevate their skills and offer a truly premium treatment. It has been one of the best investments I’ve made in my career.

I had the honour to receive my first ever & an absolutely first class facial training with Yakov this July, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

I found his training on IG and decided to take it immediately because I could sense Yakov’s presence, wisdom, work ethics and integrity. I even booked a session with one of his students: Katua of Lift Me Up Facial in Bangkok, to make sure the quality would be good and she was beyond incredible! Katua raved about what an incredible teacher Yakov is, so my heart was set…

As a fellow teacher trainer in the wellness field of somatic & energy practices including Reiki, Kundalini Yoga, Sound Healing, Water Therapy & Transformational Self-Love Therapy, I can confidently say this is a superb training from an expert with close to 2 decades of professional, hands-on experience developing his signature techniques of Sculptural Face Lifting.

I deeply appreciate the fact that Yakov accepts no more than 20 students so that his full attention and presence is given to each and every one of us. We were paired up with our personal, dedicated massage tables to practice with one another from Day 1 to the end. Theory was interwoven consistently with hands-on peer practice.

Yakov taught us plenty of in-depth facial anatomy & hands-on techniques through live demonstrations which were repeated through professionally filmed videos projected on a large screen. Yakov takes full time to demonstrate each step & movement concisely & clearly on every single student, so we all got to receive and feel the hands of the original creator himself, which is vital to the learning process, before practicing on one another. By the end of our 5 days, every one of us felt fully confident to deliver the SLF one hour treatment to our fellow students for the final exam.

The provision of printed manuals with note taking pages as well as access to online step-by-step videos to review has been immensely supportive post-graduation. The creation and upkeep of a group WhatsApp chat also allows a sense of continued community and open sharing of questions, answers, resources and ideas.

The venue of the training and refreshments at Bong Sen Hotel were fantastic, right in the heart of the city close to delicious local & international eateries, great shopping & historic cultural sights. I stayed at a lovely AirBnB within walking distance.

I would also like to express special thanks to Yakov’s assistant extraordinaire, Max, for his sweet, service heart & professional care of all us students. I felt super supported!

This training was both a brilliant holiday and a deeply educational experience that was also filled with new knowledge and joy, emotional releases and somatic therapy. I have also made friends for life.

I am truly grateful for the honour of having studied with Yakov. I believe deeply in giving credit where the original creator’s credit is due. In my personal experience, Yakov is a teacher of the highest integrity. I had the privilege of attending Yakov Gershkovich's seminar in HCM and learning from him firsthand. My personal experience was professional, inspiring, and incredibly valuable. His depth of knowledge, attention to detail, and dedication to his craft exceeded my expectations—and, I believe, those of many other participants as well.

I can honestly say that my experience was completely different from some of the comments I've seen online. In person, Yakov was incredibly humble, patient, and generous with his knowledge. He never made anyone feel intimidated, regardless of their level of experience. He answered every question thoughtfully and treated every student with genuine respect. We even laughed together, sang songs, and shared motivational chants, creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment.

To anyone reading comments online, I encourage you not to form an opinion based solely on a few negative reviews. Take the time to do your own research, look at different sources, and think critically before reaching a conclusion.

Finally, remember that it's easy to criticize someone from behind a screen. It's far more difficult to dedicate years to mastering a craft and sharing that knowledge with others. Choose evidence, firsthand experiences, and thoughtful research over unreliable comments.

Participating in the seminar with Yakov was an experience that deeply marked my professional journey.

Yakov Gershkovich isn't a professional, he's a showman. I couldn't understand his phenomenon. Perhaps people have nothing to compare it to. Perhaps they haven't seen real professionals. It's a shame I spent money on his offline course. His techniques are unphysical and illogical, and they can be found for free on many online platforms. Besides, teaching requires skill. There are many masters, but few teachers.

Do NOT buy Yakov Gershkovich’s Self-Massage course – it’s a total rip-off.

This man might be great at teaching others, but his self-massage course is a complete disappointment. It costs $247 for only 35 minutes of actual exercises, and out of the full hour they promise, 15 minutes are just him talking without teaching anything.

The video quality is terrible — when the model is finally about to show how to do an exercise, the camera focuses on Yakov, who isn’t even demonstrating anything.

I also contacted their support team by email, and they told me “many students are happy,” which I highly doubt. No one in their right mind would be happy paying $247 for content you could easily find for free on YouTube.

I’ll make sure everyone has access to this video for free so they don’t get scammed like I did. And I’ll also spread the word across all social media to let people know exactly what this course is, so no one else wastes their money.

To top it off, they don’t even allow reviews on their website — which speaks volumes.

I attended Yakov Gershkovich's course and was extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, I found that 70% of the material was irrelevant and lacked practical value for real-world application. The content was poorly organized, and there was little to no meaningful engagement.

Yakov’s attitude was appalling throughout the course. I personally witnessed strong verbal abuse toward attendees, which was both unprofessional and shocking. On top of that, he was consistently late to sessions, wasting valuable time for those who traveled and paid a significant amount for the training.

Additionally, it’s clear that Yakov is attempting to control his public image dishonestly. He deletes all negative feedback on his Instagram, which is highly deceptive for anyone researching his course.

Overall, I strongly recommend avoiding this course. It’s a complete waste of money, and the lack of professionalism makes it an unpleasant experience. There are far better and more reputable training options available.
