refurbished Yale CCTV kit

Bought refurbished Yale CCTV kit of eBay. I installed it without any issues but when trying to register the device for remote access it came out with a information that the device is still bind to such and such email address. I rung Yale customer service and was instructed to send the device to the repair centre. It took them almost 2 weeks to return it but the box itself wasn't even properly screwed together and, of course, the device was still bind to the previous owner. I messaged support team again with a screenshot attached and got this answer from Mrs. Nina Sund :
The DVR was manually reset and sent 'back out to you and the device has also been unbound for the app use'
Total disregard to the obvious fact that they've not done it.
Will keep trying to get this sorted.

Getting MY Post about Yale removed

I have a chronic health condition that keeps me bed bound 20+ hours a day, so imposing a deadline on a sick person that is equal to that of a person(s) in good health is totally unfair and possibly discriminatory, it is certainly discriminatory in the UK as I am considered in a category protected by anti-discrimination law, under the description of having a disability. I have an incurable, untreatable chronic illness, which I contracted through no fault of mine.

What is the point of trust pilot if you're going to side with a company that ignores simple legitimate requests, that has no email address for customer services, just an email address for business customers? check their web site ( I did provide a web address but trust pilots system does not allow me to provide it as proof of communication that trust pilot asks you to provide, this is counter productive and self defeating)

I provided a screenshot with my original complaint which can be clearly seen, they use an online form system, the problem with online forms is that not all companies that use them send you a proof of contact or provide a reference number that can be tracked and traced, like: let's say oh an email address which has a built in digital time /date signature, a type of proof that is irrefutable, companies do not like using email addresses for contact, as the time is logged and proves a delayed response or no response if the company has a bad attitude towards retail customers and/or a company is badly managed!

They deliberately do this to filter out people with complaints and issues with a company's products or services issues they do not want to deal with or ignore, or they play the delaying tactic and hope you go away or just take forever to respond when you need an answer quickly, because you may need to buy a product that is important to you and your property being safe, like a security camera or a burglar alarm, this is supposedly Yale's area of expertise, their customer service is certainly not of a reasonable standard.

Strange how Yale only responded to my question about one of their products after I had complained on trust pilot.

I noticed that they did not respond to my complaint update on 14th of Nov 2023 until 17 hours ago, when your email response informing me of the removal of my post was 14 hours ago, again you are being discriminatory towards me.

One of my security cameras failed I needed a replacement quickly, criminality has increased in the area where I live, I had a recent altercation with a suspect collecting a debt fighting with a neighbour smashing up his house, he threatened me also because I was filming him in the act: UK Police: Complaint Reference CO-1355-23. There are consequences to Yale's lax approach with simple communication, what they may perceive as a nominal unimportant non urgent request could be very important to a customer or a potential customer, neither trust pilot or Yale seemed to have considered this possible scenario that to me is real and very personal!

Strange how Yale could not put as much effort into answering a simple communication request about one of their safety/security related products, as they are in trying to get my legitimate Trust Pilot review Post removed! also Yale took from 14th Nov 23 until 23rd Nov 23 to reply to my original complaint, this reaffirming my case and proving my point without doubt in my original complaint review regarding their lax Delayed response to simple request for information about one of their products which they are supposed to be an expert on, they designed it and manufacturer it?, honestly YOU COULDN'T MAKE THIS UP!

DIGITALLY UNDER DEVELOPED PRODUCT There is no possibility for indoor camera's to use online storage. With my previous camera I could buy storage of a week up to a month for a small fee. No, this modern application requires an SD card, so if burglars take the camera with them, you are left with nothing. duh.

The inside doorhandle is just crumbling…

The inside doorhandle is just crumbling to pieces from the inside, before they even look at the installation they just say it's user fault. Then they sell spare parts for insane prices. 1x doorhandle is 150 EUR. I thought this was a smart lock, but apparantly 80% of the locks value is in the two metal handles that brake within a year

Contacted Yale ref outdoor camera system for me possibly leading for me to purchase for 2 sons get NO REPLY chased up to be to be told please do not send another request for quotation.so my first & second request to purchase was met with a arrogant reply good news placed a big order after 1 time request from competitor so glad yale doing so well

Was about to buy a Yale Home Alarm…

Was about to buy a Yale Home Alarm system but just checked on here and there are many negative reviews regarding the app and people frustration about not being able to register and get started. I convinced myself it was the complete system I required but with so many complaints and regrets about buying the product I don’t think I will proceed. If there are obvious problems with the app why doesn’t Yale just listen to the comments and fix it

I’ve recently moved into a house that had a Yale Home alarm installed. However when I try and register to use the app I get a ‘master panel user is max’ error so can’t use the alarm. I can’t find anything online to help!

Completely useless

Payment taken but no keys received

Placed an order 10 days ago amd the only communication with Yale Hone has been a confirmation. Payment has been taken but no keys received. Very poor customer service .

error = out of the box

out of the box : "panel uptime error" no explanation, no fix, no help. Hate this product already.
...aaaand now the stickers for doors are not sticky enough even on clean plastic... no spare stickers in the box of course. and because it's a kit all screws are thrown in randomly you have no idea wich one goes where. Also i defy anyone to add those door sensors on modern windows they are not properly shaped and they had the brilliant idea to make fancy curve shapes that will never stick to any surface.. I regret so much the amazon alarm was not available :(

Bought a Yale Doorman

Bought a Yale Doorman, Yale Smart Hub and the Yale Module 2. I must say those are some of the worst products I have bought.

The mounting process takes ages if your door doesn't fit the case. The instructions are confusing, missing information and full of spelling mistakes. I mean... get IKEA to create your instructions please.

You can find 3 WILDLY different videos on YouTube about how to mount this door. The one from Norway is 18 min, The one from Sweden is 15 min. The one from Denmark is 3 min.
I can not believe a 180 year old company releases products like that... Well, I kinda know how it works for these old companies but... This is just embarrassing.

When you follow the link in the manual to get instructions... You get sent into this page, where they tell you about how great their products are... eh? I wanted instructions/manuals.

The materials used in the Yale Doorman is ridiculously difficult to remove/add, when the standard one does not fit your door. You can see it from this guy talking about it (cant link, but you can search "Installing a Yale Doorman Lock at My PlayHouse - 907")

He did not show how much time he used to do some of the things, but he did say 'I spared you of all that swearing it took'. That says something Yale...

Well, just like this guy, I finally made it work for me.

But then I also had to install the Smart Hub and the Module.

Guess what, they are just as bad.
The Smart hub has an on/off button that you can't reach with your fingers. Seriously... You can not turn this device on/off without having a long tool. That is supposed to make it secure? or just inconvenient. Anybody can find something like a toothpick to turn this thing on/off.

The next thing that happens is that, you can not create an account using their app. I will spare you the details of how s h i t t y the app is. They gave me an error message "Registration error, panel uptime error". What user knows what that is? Also... There are absolutely no panels on any of those products. I had to call their support to help me solve this one.

When I finally got to register (with the help of the support), the app did not continue the registration process. I just had to force quit the app and then sign in.

The app is such a joke, everything is so pixelated, misaligned, slow and yeah... full of errors. Are you seriously selling this to people?
