While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Sketchy hidden fees

I was gifted a Groupon for a Paint Nite experience in Los Angeles on August 15, 2023, from Yaymaker, but encountered hidden fees. Each Groupon voucher only provided a $35 credit towards a class that costs about $45, leading to an unexpected balance. Additionally, a 'transaction fee' is mentioned at checkout without a specified amount, only revealed upon purchasing the ticket. This lack of transparency in pricing, including undisclosed 'experience fees' might violate California Civil Code Section 1770(a)(20). Yaymaker's failure to clearly display all fees upfront has been frustrating and misleading. Yaymaker has done nothing to resolve the issue despite multiple requests.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE A VENUE…

If you are a venue and you book this company. BEWARE!!!! Yes, they have a NO REFUND POLICY.....But I took that as, there is no refund if the venue or the customer cancel. My experience was that YAYMAKER Cancelled the event they were suppose to have at my venue, and now they won't refund the money to the customers who paid for it. Not only that, but they cancelled by emailing the customers who paid, and didn't even tell me until afterwards! I had to find out it was cancelled by one of my customers. This is COMPLETELY WRONG....And such BAD BUSINESS.

Took my money & no reply

Paid for PaintNite for my niece. Teacher never arrived; 8 emails later, I've given up with their "customer service". Instead found same lesson on YouTube (and more!!) for FREE. Any co. that takes your money & runs isn't someone I would recommend!

One of my favorite companies

I've gone to in-person events on a fairly regular basis for the past few years. They make a great activity for quality time with friends or family. However, the virtual events in the past year have been a real game changer and have definitely made quarantine a lot more bearable and made me feel less isolated. I've been able to have "get-togethers" with friends and family from across the country and share a fun experience that wouldn't have been possible even when the in-person events were going on. We usually do paint nites, but we recently tried a trivia night, which was a great family activity that everyone enjoyed. This is definitely one of my go-to websites when I'm looking for something fun to do without breaking the bank.
