Worst Experience Ever
Bar none, the worst experience ever! I have been trying to get in contact with my account representative since Oct 24th via email and phone calls. I tried calling 3 different phone numbers hoping to get in contact with a customer service representative to explain why my calls were not getting returned. Every number I called went directly to the voice mail of my account representative. It was obvious my number was call forwarded directly to my account representative no matter which number I called. Spoke with my lawyer and I am cancelling my contract with or without their approval. A stop payment order was put on my account for any payments to Yellow Pages. Do not let Yellow Pages intimidate you with staying in your contract, break free of it as soon as you can! They are in complete breach of the contract!
Going to small claims court
The website they created was taken from the website I created. There was no more content added. They assigned me an email address that went to wix and when I complained nothing was done so I had to hire outside help to change it to my correct address. I lost business due to that. It took one month to speak to a supervisor after an "investigation" had started. They offered one month compensation and said I signed a contract. As a paralegal I pointed out the contract should be void due to lack of performance and that I would take them to small claims court to get my money back.
Don’t waste your time or money
Don’t waste your time or money. They make it difficult to cancel and auto renew
Absolute Scam
Absolute Scam. Two years of calling and they couldn't figure out how to change my business name. I paid $115 TWICE to have the former owner's business name listed in the Yellow Pages phonebook, and they refused to give me a refund even after they assured me it would be changed next year. There's no way for you to check what they're going to print, as all the information was correct online and on my invoices. It's also $35 a month to be listed online (and when you update your business information online, it is a totally separate service from the book, so beware that any changes you make online will not adjust the listing you pay for).
They never actually asked me to sign a contract or sent me any terms or conditions, they had a contract with the former owner. When I told them it's a sole proprietor business, and the former owner has nothing to do with me or my business, they basically said too bad. When I finally asked to just cancel service, they said I was already on contract for another year - although when I asked what proof of contract they had, they only had a verbal phone agreement with the former owner TWO years before I owned the business. When we called together when I took over Yellow Pages told me to just update the billing information - DO NOT DO THAT! Legally, you should open a new account. Finally they said "in good faith" they are letting me only pay for three more months. Literally they have no contract with me, and I can't get out of paying?
They auto-renew without ad proofs or confirmation, or literally informing you of anything. It should be illegal, No other business does this!
They cannot change your business information in their own service, unless your phone provider AND Telus changes the 411 listing. And you have to call those third parties yourself (wait, what am I paying YP for then?) And if they don't happen to get the order to change it(they claim, although the other providers assure me they DID send it), they don't bother to let you know, even after you have called all those companies and them and wasted tons of time. So apparently if they "don't receive" an order from Telus to change it, their system reverts back to the old name, without informing you. So again next year you are in the same boat and basically they are charging you a very high price to do nothing, and if you complain, they just blame the other company and refuse to have any responsibility or accountability for their system or procedures. I spoke to two separate managers who told me tough luck. They didn't even apologize.
P.S. It's FREE to be in the phonebook, you DO NOT NEED TO WASTE YOUR MONEY ON YELLOW PAGES
P. P.S. Wasted junkmail is killing the planet, and every year when the phonebook comes out the recycling and garbage is full of mounds of them. No one uses them anymore. Let this horrible industry die.
P. P. P. S Google lists your business FOR FREE

Incompetent: They offered a Professionally Designed Website by a Marketing Expert and Give you Crap
I am a financial services rep in Ontario and wanted to get a website to promote my business. However, I don't have the working knowledge of building a website and don't consider myself very proficient in marketing either.
Therefore, I really liked the services "offered" by Yellow Pages about being able to take care of the website design and build for me. However, my experience with them has been terrible. The website design is mediocre and it is obvious that the wording on the site is canned and unprofessional. Upon reviewing the draft version of the site, I was left with the option of publishing a website that doesn't represent me - and I am not happy at all with - or, spending money to hire someone outside of Yellow Pages to redo the site (Hint: if you are considering YP, do yourself a favor and hire someone else).
I tried cancelling and was advised that I was locked into a 1 year contract so now I am paying for something I can't use.
Save yourself some grief and headaches by looking elsewhere. I have no clue how this company has managed to stay in business so long.
The YellowPages manager refused to…
The YellowPages manager refused to waive the 3 month cancellation period even though all of their staff (from every level going up to manager) admitted to not notifying of the automatic renewals. They lie and their service is garbage. We only got an ESTIMATED (Yellowpages own words, not guaranteed) 0-2 calls per month for the entire contract with them. They promised ads on google and that never happened. The ads were on their own site. They also said they were the only google ad partner in Canada. That is an out right lie! They can’t be trusted.
Auto renew of contract with no consent
No return on investment and they automatically renewed my contract without my consent. Even with their employees agreeing to not giving me consent they refused to waive the 3 month cancellation period.
This website claims to be non biased…
This website claims to be non biased but is favoring the businesses that scam you. They do not have a fair review system.
Beware and do not buy any product or service from them.
Stay clear of this company
Stay clear of this company! Been with them for too many years, tried to cancel, they lied that I had an automatic renewal contract with them and scammed me. I asked for proof of this contract, they have not returned my calls or emails. Biggest mistake was to have them on automatic withdrawl from the bank, will be cancelling my business service with Bell just to stop paying.
I wish I could leave a negative zero review as they don't even qualify for one star.
These guys are not interested in growing your business. They are nonessential to begin with and are not an honorable business. Upon retiring and attempting to close their service one is informed that they need 3 months notice for some unexplained reason and will try to make you pay for three months of service that you do not need. Stay clear of these crooks.
They are on the business side and…
They are on the business side and remove your experience review. Don’t trust them . What is the point for reviewing while they only allow the good reviews to be posted.
Yellowpages Stole my Personal Information!
Yellowpages is a scam business!
They added my business to their online listing with my PERSONAL CELL phone number listed. I continue to get autodial and marketing phone calls to my personal number every day (Sometimes at 4 or 5 am in the morning!)
They did this without my consent to disclose my personal information. The worst part is you cannot ask them to remove your listing, they make you sign up for their bogus service in order to edit or remove your listing.
I am looking into whether this is a chargeable offense under Canada's Anti-Spam regulations and will be reporting this highly unscrupulous activity post haste.
