About YOOKANTOO Therapy
Written by the company
Listen | Love | Change
Hi I'm Kellie, a holistic psychotherapist and founder of YOOKANTOO Therapy.
I offer a caring combination of psychotherapeutic techniques to help my clients heal from the trauma and negative experiences causing unwanted behaviours, including:
- anxiety
- depression
- emotional & binge eating
- PTSD
- addiction
- low self esteem/confidence
- & phobias
You are so much more than an unwanted problem or behaviour. Which is why my therapy is about us working together as a team, I will work WITH you, not ON you.
I use a combination of therapeutic techniques such as:
EMDR, Somatic Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry (taught by world renowned physician Dr Gabor Mate), Solution Focused Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.
These proven techniques, along with tons of compassion and your own inherent ability to heal, will help us pick up, what can seem like broken, scattered pieces, so you can live a happy and whole life again.
Every human has an inherent healing ability and my job is to wake that up, I'm simply here to remind you and your body that healing is here for you, it's in your biology. The whole point of therapy is to help you come into the present, re connect to your authentic self.
Together, we'll work at your own pace, healing your pain, with lots of curiosity, connection and compassion.
Together we'll drill down to the core stories you are unconsciously telling yourself – to help you see what those beliefs are, where they came from; and guide you to the possibility of letting go of those stories.
In short, we will help liberate you, for a calmer, brighter future. Helping you live the authentic life you were born to live.

Empowered.
I couldn’t think straight. After working with Kellie I soon realised what the root cause of my fear of being abandoned was. Thank you.
Beautiful experience.
Such a beautiful experience where I had the space to really understand my emotions.

I came to Kelly at a time when I was struggling with confidence and needed some direction in my life. Having experienced other therapists I have to say that Kelly is the best I have encountered - she offers guidance but also humour and is easy to contact with - I can't recommend her highly enough I grew so much in many ways from my time with Kelly. Thank you

Second interview nerves
I saw Kellie to help me remain calm whilst going through the interview process at a job I was applying for. Not only did I remain focused and calm in the second interview - I also got the job!

Highly recommend Kellie!
Kellie is very calm, has a fantastic presence. I felt I could open up to her straight away even in our first session. I would highly recommend Kellie for childhood trauma.
No nonsense therapeutic help
Speedy and responsive when I first enquired. Kellie has a way of helping you get to the heart of a problem and putting you at ease. She also doesn't drag out the number of sessions just to keep getting paid and aims to help you on the road to recovery as soon as possible.
Kellie was a life saver
Kellie was compassionate and listened so well to everything I had to say.
She was a life saver.
Effective and loving
Feels like meeting a friend, except you get to gain inner wisdom and deep insights into your own ways of doing life, wich bring forth positive impacts in your daily life. Highly recommend. Thks Kellie!
Kellie is open and compassionate
Kellie is open and compassionate, the sessions were goal-oriented but also quite flexible, meaning that my needs were always met
Kellie is amazing!
Kellie is amazing! She is kind, supportive, compassionate, and a great listener.
In every session, I feel validated and heard. This has helped me to work through my past trauma. I've struggled a lot with negative self-talk and views of myself as being inherently bad. Kellie has helped me understand where my thoughts come from and helped me come up with different ways of challenging those beliefs and talk, so I can live true to myself.
There is also a bit of humor along the way! And I'm always finishing the sessions with a smile on my face :) - thank you so much, Kellie!

Kelli was absolutely lovely and got to the heart of the problem straight away, producing massive positive changes in my life. Thank you so much.
Stopped wanting chocolate
Kellie is brilliant and really helped me to start to work on some old issues holding me back. She also managed the impossible and got me to no longer want chocolate, which for a complete chocoholic is amazing!!
Kellie is such an inspirational person
Kellie is such an inspirational person, who has helped me overcome so many childhood issues. I cannot thank her enough for her patience, support and help, it is helping me become the person I always should have been.
EMDR therapy
I booked in to see Kellie for a phobia of public speaking. Kellie is very friendly and down to earth she makes you feel at ease. After getting to know me more she suggested EMDR therapy for me, I really enjoyed this session and felt the techniques made a difference. I’ve also had hypnosis with Kellie which felt very relaxing. I did my first public speaking workshop last week and felt much more calmer then usual and in control, I’m even looking forward to the next one!
insight, patience and kindness
Kellie was able to help me identify and reframe core beliefs that weren’t serving me but had been embedded from a very young age. She did this with good humour, supportively and enabled me to feel safe in her company. I am immensely grateful for her insight, patience and kindness.
Emetophobia management success!
Kellie spent numerous sessions with my daughter discovering the root cause and reasons for her debilitating emetophobia then supporting her with coping strategies and the results have been unbelievable! Not only has she had recent experience of putting her coping strategies to the test but has overcome her abject fear and anxiety of either feeling unwell herself or experiencing others actually vomiting near her! Without this therapy, our daughter would have most definitely have spent her adult life being anxious and unable to do certain things and travel minus the fear of being sick or having to see others be sick. It will be life changing for her as this anxiety has prevented her from going on school trips in the past and now, thanks to Kellie, she no longer needs fear the possibility of illness, but can zone in and use her strategies to cope. We couldn’t be more grateful!
