Reccomended by reutable Garage in Selby for welding on my 23 year Micra

My wife's Ford KA failed it's M.O.T, done at Natonal Tyres, Selby (HALFORDS). They quoted me £324 for a back box on the exhaust which had a hole in it and required a new one, I thought this was extortinate as I googled the price of a new back box, I searched for welders in the Selby area and came across Y.A.P.. What a find. I met Neil and Tony and told them of my predicament and they said we'll get it on the ramp and see if we can weld it, upon noticing the hole in back box they also noticed another hole and the whole length of the exhaust pipe was very badly worn and rusty, which Halfords failed to notice. I didn't tell them the price I had been quoted and they suggested to me if they just replace the back box it would fail its M.O.T. the following year and the best thing to do was to fit a full new exhsaust system. I was dreading the price but i thought it was the best thing to do. GO ON THEN, TELL ME THE PRICE. Tony phoned the exhuast supplier and after confirmation they could deliver it the same day, Neil worked out a price and said, we'll do it for £200. I was over the moon with this. Neil said come in tomorrow morning at 10.00am and we'll do it for you. The following morning I noticed an email from Halfords about a retest M.O.T. at 11.00am. was available. I thought there won't be enough time for Neil and Tony to fit the new exhaust so I phoned Neil up and asked him if I could bring car in for 9.00am, he agreed to fit me in and both him and Tony started working immediately. How many other garages would have done that for me?. They worked their fingers to the bone to accomodate my schedule and finished it and tested for no leaks in record time, I got to the M.O.T. test centre for the scheduled time and it passed with flying clours. I can't thank Neil and Tony enough and told them I will from now on not bother with Halfords anymore for servicing etc. I got on really well with Neil and Tony, they are both brilliant at their jobs and are really great company to be in. I highly recommend them to anyone that doesn't like being ripped off by big named garages. Don't change the way you two operate. You are 2 lovely people.
