I had to make an emergency appointment and was seen on the day of my call. The treatment was quite invasive and the dentist explained to me in fine detail what my options were. Ultimately I knew I had... See more

I paid Yorkshire Dental Suite £9,760 in full and in advance in March 2026 for an agreed treatment plan: root canal, crown, replacement tooth with liners, and teeth whitening.
Months later, only the root canal has been done — and it has since failed and needs remedial work. Nothing else has been carried out or even scheduled. The pattern is always the same: they message me asking for my availability, I reply straight away, and then nothing gets booked. I've been through this cycle repeatedly.
I sent a formal written complaint on 22 July 2026 requiring a response within 14 days. No reply. I sent a Letter Before Claim on 24 July 2026. No reply. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt to either.
I have now referred the matter to the Dental Complaints Service and will be issuing a claim in the County Court to recover the money.
If you're considering paying this practice up front for a treatment plan, think very carefully. Based on my experience, once they have your money, the communication and the treatment stop.
Brilliant service received today from Dr Ivan and Ankita...
I have now been dealing with this practice for 18 months, and my experience has been extremely disappointing.
I initially enrolled for nano bonding and Invisalign treatment, paying £1,500. At my first appointment, the dentist responsible for my treatment told me she was leaving, and since then there has been no continuity of care.
My appointments have repeatedly been cancelled by the practice, often at the last minute or on the same day. At one stage, I was left wearing the same aligners for 14 weeks with no progress or proper follow-up.
I formally raised my concerns in May 2025 and requested a refund. I was persuaded to give the practice another opportunity under a different dentist, but both appointments arranged with him were subsequently cancelled, causing yet more delays.
After 18 months of cancellations, poor communication and uncertainty surrounding my treatment, I have completely lost trust in the practice and am now having to find another dentist to continue the work.
I have been exceptionally patient and allowed the practice several opportunities to resolve matters, but I feel completely let down and undervalued as a patient. I am now requesting the return of the £1,500 I have paid for treatment that has not been completed.
Subpar product quality, traumatising experience for my son, and zero customer service. I am absolutely appalled by the poor quality of service and lack of accountability from Yorkshire Dental Suite. We started an aligner treatment plan for my son, and the physical quality of the materials has been completely unacceptable. Within the very first 24 hours, the attachments for his aligners fell completely out. To make matters worse, only 6 days into a top tray that was explicitly meant to last for 14 days, the plastic cracked. This entire ordeal has been incredibly disheartening. My son suffered through significant pain during the first four days just trying to get used to the aligners, only to have the equipment fail immediately. Being told he has to start the process completely over after just 6 days has left him feeling completely defeated, and he no longer wants to continue with the aligner process at all. Despite these blatant material failures, Yorkshire Dental Suite is completely refusing to refund us or cancel the financial payment plan. They care far more about locking you into billing agreements than the actual well-being of their patients or the quality of their dental work. Avoid this practice.
No proper consultation- appears ti be all about the money!
After complaining i asked to see tge owner Dalghous. He gave me poor conflicting advice.
Left in agony now- no one returning calks or emails!
AVOID!!
My experience with YDS was 10/10. Everyone is extremely welcoming and made the experience really easy.
Thankyou YDS team for making my visit such a pleasant experience. Dr Sia Lord is outstanding. Being a very nervous patient he has given me back my trust and confidence, I felt incredibly comfortable. Sia Lord is just amazing, along with his wonderful team. 5☆+ Thankyou Laureen ❤️
Had a top full implant done with the Yorkshire Dental Suite.
From initial consultation to temporary install treatment the process has been excellent.
Just the wait for final fit to look forward to highly recommend the relaxed approach and can do attitude of everyone at Yorkshire Dental Suite
I had a very mixed experience with YDS over an 18-month period.
I chose YDS because of its reviews and reputation, which is why this experience has been so disappointing. However looking through the reviews now, there are quite a few negative reviews which all tell a similar story or poor treatment and service.
My story began with my initial appointment with a female dentist that left a lot to be desired. She was dressed in her own clothing (no uniform), complained to a colleague, in front of me, about having to come into work on her day off, and just seemed cheesed off, which immediately made me feel like an inconvenience. I wish I’d left there and then. I felt incredibly rushed throughout the appointment. She completed a few white fillings in what felt like record time and, before starting, asked whether I wanted local anaesthetic. As someone who had explained that I was anxious about dental treatment, I was genuinely surprised to be asked this given the number and size of the fillings being carried out. This had to be topped up throughout as everytime she continued I still wasn’t numb. I honestly feel she didn’t want to waste the anaesthetic. She also advised that bonding all six of my front teeth would be suitable and no issue.
Later that same day, I felt so uncomfortable and upset about the experience that I contacted the practice and requested to see another dentist. I was booked in with Dr Shann, who was the complete opposite. He was kind, patient and honest. He advised that bonding all six front teeth would not give the best result without Invisalign and instead recommended bonding just one tooth. I really appreciated his honesty, as it felt like he genuinely had my best interests at heart.
A few weeks later, at my routine NHS dental check-up, my dentist raised concerns about some of the white fillings and advised me to return to YDS to get them redone. Dr Shann subsequently replaced two of the fillings. Unfortunately, despite this, I had pain and discomfort and had to request further appointments to have them looked at and altered.
At my last appointment I was told two of the teeth had been through too much trauma and now require root canal treatments and crowns, leaving me facing further treatment and additional expense and hassle.
I had to endure horrendous pain and 2 emergency nhs appointments and at that point my dentist realised one tooth didn’t even have a white filling (which YDS were paid to do), it had a temporary filing and the root canal had already been started (which I had no knowledge of). My dentist found cotton wool in my tooth.
After a lot of persistence and complaining, YDS eventually agreed to refund the cost of the two fillings. I appreciate that they acknowledged my concerns and reached a resolution, although I am still left with the cost of further treatment elsewhere, which possibly could have been avoided.
After 18 months of appointments, pain and stress, my involvement with YDS is finally over.
Based on my personal experience, I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.
On a positive note, the reception team were always welcoming and friendly, Lara stands out for me and also Dr Shann.
Looking back, I do wonder whether the practice’s strengths lie more in cosmetic dentistry, as unfortunately my experience with routine dental work fell well below my expectations.
My advice to anyone considering dental treatment is simply to do your research, don’t just go by the positive reviews, ask questions and make sure you feel completely comfortable before going ahead.
Yet another experience of Yorkshire dental scamming people out of deposits. Told me I could get a refund on the phone, then when I rang for one a week in advance of a change in circumstances they refused my deposit. They then said they’ll ring me back and let me know, no ring back of course. They have all reviews on their own website so they’re controlled, shocking scammers.
I had a fantastic experience today at my dental appointment. Beth is always friendly and professional, and Dr Abdul made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. The care I received was excellent. I would definitely recommend this practice
Absolutely first class service every time highly recommend
Top class professional team, from reception to the highly skilled and efficient dentist (s). Some very complex procedures for 2 implants including a front tooth. 5 visits over 6 months, allowing for healing between sessions in the chair. Felt completely at home and supported by the optimistic upbeat team. The dentist knows his work end to end. Very efficient . Very satisfied with the work.
Had such a lovely experience at YDS. The reception to the dentists and the nurses all take such an amazing care and attention. Would definitely recommend
