I booked an overnight trip for 6 people 2 twin rooms, 2 singles, two rounds of golf dinner B&B. I had to pay on booking. Today I was sent an email saying the hotel didn’t have availability, could we change dates or venue. Totally unacceptable

I am sincerely sorry to hear that we were unable to confirm the booking you had requested online over the weekend.
By way of explanation, the availability shown on our website is manually controlled and as such, we are reliant on the venues letting us know when they become fully booked. Unfortunately, it was only after your reservation had been sent that Bowood advised us they could not confirm your requested booking.
I do appreciate how frustrating this is for you as it is equally as frustrating for us that we have let you down on this occasion.
My colleague is waiting to hear from you to see if we can check any alternative dates or venues for you, otherwise we can arrange a refund of your deposit.
Once again, please accept my apologies for any disappointment on this occasion.

Great golf break!
Great golf break organised by Your Golf Travel. Great comm's by the company and very approachable by both email and phone. Had a bit of a hiccup on one of the three course booked pre-visit but YGT subsiquently sorted it out. Much appreciated! 👍🏻 Hotel was good as was it's location and courses were great, in particular Stoneham which was superb.
If you're after a golf break I'd highly recommend Your Golf Travel.
