A relief to be done with them
A real shame. For a full picture, they have good connections, good CPD and a small few very supportive people on board.
BUT
This is sadly hugely overshadowed by their cutthroat, money driven approach. In a big city, you will probably be ok as long as there is an abundance of clients. However I am in a small town with a much more challenging capture of clients. The gym I was in required a slow burn approach to building a client base and YPTs model of pay up or else was only adding financial pressures to an already super difficult situation. Eventually there were threats of debt collectors to recover the money I didn't have and could not earn, zero compromise from their side, all whilst I was having to get a job elsewhere just to pay monthly rent for a gym I couldn't even train in myself. Happily I have now cut ties however they continue to walk other PT's into a site that simply does not offer the footfall to make a small business work.
What a business model for them: Charge a huge amount to PT's and Operators for the privilege of handing money from one to the other, dressed up in a 'Progress your career' set up. You will also be encouraged to sign on with Applied Nutrition to become a funnel to pull in more cash.
I don't like to leave such a review as this but I struggle to express the amount of stress this company has caused me. Sadly they have most of the big gyms tied up with their brand but my advice is to do everything you can to avoid them.
